Reports are that Lio and his wife are like wrestling's version of Doug & Jackie Christie with Lio's wife following him everywhere -- everywhere -- and that includes backstage.  That apparently hasn't sat well with some of the boys who view backstage as a business area.

I'm not sure if there's any truth to these rumors, but that's what's being reported.

From what I heard Lio has zero pull and on thin ice. Don't be surprised if he's released. He's on borrowed time

The locker room is for the boys - and management stays out of there. I imagine backstage is looser but still, unless your wife is in the company, she needs to stay out.

And probably what he's hoping for.

Guy is a phenomenal worker and great talker. And booked as a jobber joke sidekick.

There's more potential with Lio Rush than a non-demon Finn Balor who is far and away IMO one of the most overrated performers (in every way) in the history of wrestling w/o the gimmick.

You spelled Hulk Hogan wrong

Rush is good but he's no world beater. I've heard he acts like he's better then what he is type thing. He should just stay on 205. No one cares about Boring Lashley

Lio Rush in RoH was very good. IMO, going to the E went to his head.

Yeah apparently Balor said something to him about bringing his GF with him and Balor said Vince doesn't appreciate guys bringing their loved ones into the locker room. WWE can go to a persons head. Ryback is the same way but the dude Is a clown show.. ll of his cohost have left him and he's made enemies of his friends too in the business. Everyone says he's real bitter about WWE and acts like he's some hotshot now. He went after Bryan Alvarez telling him the biggest mistake was his mother having him and we shouldn't have an opinion from a non wrestler, when Alvarez went after Nia for botching and breaking Becky's face. Alvarez has 3-5 yrs experience in the ring. Not much but it's enough he can give a professional opinion on that. This is the same dude (Ryback) who told a podcaster at Axxess in Orlando to be more professional and make a better look for him and the business. Ryback then went on his own podcast the next day and said the person he talked to should die in a pit of spikes. Hypocrite much Ryback?

Point is WWE can go to a person's head. I've heard it changing people. Especially those who were barely used maybe had one good storyline their whole career and hardly had a tile match of any kind are released and act like they were in WWE they are entitled to stuff. So when you get former WWE wrestlers anywhere who ae really kind and all it's great.

I just got this today and if True this would be amazing. I love overseas shows but I feel like the fans not in the UK get a raw (Pun intended) deal by not having live Episodes of Raw and SDL. I remember when Santino debuted against Umaga and won Raw was live in Italy in Rome. More shows in Scotland and Ireland/Germany/Italy/France would be fun and the crowds over there are amazing

"BIG BIG NEWS! Hearing WWE might extend the international tours from 2 weeks to 3 and from 2 times a year to 3 times a year. This will potentially see Raw and Smackdown originating from the U.K., Spain Italy Portugal Scotland etc etc 12 times a year this could be a shift and pretty much abandoning current cities where they struggle to put people on seats, the the international tours will take them. They have no problem filling arenas constantly overseas..."

Also WWE plans to relaunch the network in the summer. Not sure what that means maybe the rumored tier thing but new content is suppose to be shown including Scotland's Promotion ICW is rumored to becoming to the network which would be awesome. For those of you who are squeamish I suggest not watching it.

WWE has toured Europe a lot - IIRC one of the members of FBI (not their WWE stable name) "won" the IC title at an Italian house show. It was a reverse situation to Ric Flair "losing" the NWA title in Puerto Rico to avoid the fans rioting; whoever was the champ had the belt returned to them the next day.

With the profitability of North American house shows going down, this move makes sense. In fact, Mr. Tito at Lords of Pain wrote an article advocating the abandonment of house shows https://lordsofpain.net/mr-tito-strikes-back-why-wwe-should-stop-having-houseshows/

I think the product overall has gone down so people barely go to the house shows. A live event friends of mine went up to in Boston awhile barely drew 5K. Another house show in Philly barely drew 8K awhile ago and people were getting upgraded seats to fill the lower levels. However I think less US house shows and more overseas shows is good for everyone. WWE and the superstars always look way to tired after the initial week or so of touring overseas doing mostly house shows and 2 Live TV tapings

I didn't watch much of RAW last night...are you SERIOUS with this?

The Revival, filmed earlier today. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are in the shower together, wearing towels. Dash is shaving Dawson’s back. The Revival chased them off. We go back to The Usos in the ring. The Revival comes out and says that was an invasion of privacy. Dawson says they are men and he admits he has some body hair, which he asked his best friend of 20+ years to help with. Dash says his best friend needed his help.

In college I'd pay my buddies with a case of cheap beer if the shaved my hairy back.  Luckily, I hung around with poor drunks.  True story.

Hardy's to relinquish titles tonight. Jeff is seriously injured possible career threatening

"hearing Jeff Hardy’s injury is serious and career threatening hearing Jeff Hardy’s injury is serious and career threatening"

"more news, very active night and all of that after my conversation with my source. Sasha has told wwe today that either release me or don’t pay me for a year but I want out via her lawyers...and finally, expect some more nxt cuts as the prospects that wwe signed in late 2017 early 2018 (mainly overseas talent) have not panned out nor made any progress in the ring or soft skills (mic work)"

Also WWE has resigned former LU performer and NXT Performer Ivelisse Finally!!!!!

Yes Vince is ####### with them not in a joking matter because of the #### they've given him. Granted it's #### that Vince deserves but this is why WWE talent has gone at lengths to talk to lawyers to see how to ask out of their contracts early without punishment.

Jon Moxley is on Twitter with a hell of a promo Video.

Moxley Returns
Where does everyone stand on Dean Ambose's WWE departure?  Do you think Ambrose really is leaving or do you think it's a swerve and he returns, possibly as John Moxley?

I ask because the Ambrose leaving curtain calls and hoopla have been so over the top in comparison to any other wrestler that has left WWE that it seems contrived.

Also note that the production behind this MOX video is very high budget/cinematic level stuff. Did Dean go out of pocket to produce a mini-movie?

The MOX video hearkened back to when DA was my favorite part of WWE - when he was obsessed with keeping Rollins from cashing in the briefcase. Then they wrote him off TV via cinder blocks to make a movie, and he never quite had the same fire.

Too many people are worried that they're getting worked.

AFAIK, it's real and he's done.

100% agree. The DA character went down the toilet after that Rollins feud. His title reigns in 2015-2017 just seemed utterly tacked on and were deeply uninspiring. I'm sure we all remember the DA episode of the Stone Cold podcast. The character didn't become interesting again until we started hearing the rumours that DA would be leaving WWE.

Just saw the MOX video. Nicely done. Here's hoping for a collision down the line with Jimmy Havoc in AEW.  I'd love to see Moxley in the ring with Pentagón Jr too.

Going back to Lio Rush, first time I saw him on the indies, I thought he had the potential to be the next Rey Mysterio Jr. I still believe that. I really think he's that good.

A word about Luke Harper. Good ring general, especially for a man his size. Needs to get some bookings in Japan and milk his Bruiser Brody-esque look for all its worth.

He's done it was ROH/NJPW/ or, AEW most likely because no one knows if Punk is going to AEW or not and their next thing was Moxey. Video cost at least $100K to make though. Joey Janela just retweeted it too so defiantly could be AEW. Also Punk is doing commentary for someone in MMA the same day as Double or Nothing but that could be a ruse to keep people guessing

He was screwed when he did the Austin Podcast when he was WWE Champ. He had such generic answers to everything with no charisma and it really made hm look bad. After that Vince didn't give a shot about him. He wanted to do a lot more and a hardcore match with Brock at Mania when they faced off but Brock wouldn't play ball. Unfortunately given WWE's PG production these days Moxley/AMbrose character wasn't going over in WWE like it should. His gimmick would have been amazing and done wonders in WWF/E Attitude Era though with all the hardcore stuff

A lot of symbolism in the video. Escaping the prison that was WWE, caught in barbed wire is him caught in the BS creative of WWE, him running away is him running away from WWE, the rest is him transforming into Jon Moxley again

Wouldn't it be lovely if we were actually seeing some sort of a "Loose Cannon" style work going on here à la Brian Pillman back in '96 playing all sides.

:excited:

Is this speculation?  This seems outrageous.  Yeah it was nice, but unless I'm missing something; seems off.

Reasons why Vince signed Goldberg

“The Bill Goldberg deal. They [WWE] called Goldberg. Goldberg didn’t call them. The Goldberg deal is to sign him to a deal, which they wouldn’t have done except they feared he would go to AEW. They [WWE] wanted to make sure that there is no main stream guy that they [AEW] can add to that roster that might get them off with that curiosity with viewers or anything like that.“
You think AEW was signing Goldberg? :lmao:

Vince worked himself. :lmao:   :lmao:

People are also pointing out that the video contains a pair of dice which are part of the Starrcast advertising (Starrcast being linked with AEW's Double or Nothing), and the numbers on the dice are 2 and 5 and Double or Nothing is on the 25th.

Wrestling rumors are worth almost nothing, but I read that it's expected that Kofi will drop the WWE Championship to Goldberg at the June 7th Saudi Arabia show, and that will then lead to another Goldberg and Lesnar match at Summerslam.

I'm not sure if the rumor has any merit, but we do know that Vince loves bug guys and he loves big names at the top of his promotion.

I just saw DB is cleared again. Might setup Kofi vs Bryan at SS

I haven't seen it myself but I'm hearing that Kushida's NXT debut wasn't anything to write home about. I'm interested to see how he'll get booked at Full Sail. And I'm praying that Kushida never makes it to Raw or Smackdown Live, at least not while VKM walks this earth.

The Saudis are huge nostalgia marks from what I've read.

Goldberg had said that he didn't call the E; they called him. And, he supposedly wasn't looking for a one-off match but at least some kind of program. Perhaps they accommodated him?

I'm pretty sure Kushida's career is going to WWE to die; there's no line to VKM making him an evil foreigner.

Watching "Dark Side of the Ring" last night with my wrestling fan son Mason (26). He really wasn't familar with The Von Erich story, left him stunned.

Then.....

Mason....so what next the Chris Benoit deal?

Zeno....maybe, then there's Brian Pillman, (who he knows about) Gino Hernandez (never heard of him) Dino Bravo (knew about him).

I'll be damn....next up Gino Hernandez, who I'm not too familiar with myself.

next up Gino Hernandez, who I'm not too familiar with myself.
I've only seen a handful of Gino's matches with World Class. In his prime he was one of the top heels in the territory. Reminds me a bit of Ricky Martel. He certainly had the look and the charisma to have gone on to enjoy some sort of success with the WWF or WCW in the 90's. But, as I'm sure the documentary will show, the man had his fair share of demons and his cocaine OD may or may not have been a cover for something more sinister.

I hope that the episode talks a little about one of Gino's more notable tag partners, namely "Gentleman" Chris Adams. They could easily put together a full length feature on Adams himself if we're talking about the "Dark Side of the Ring". Adams was one of the first performers I saw on British television back in the early 80's when I first fell in the love with the sport. Due to his legitimate background in judo, Adams took on the moniker of "Black Belt". Martial arts gimmicks were quite popular in the 70's on the British scene thanks to a certain David Carradine television show (see "Iron Fist" Clive Myers and "Kung Fu" Eddie Hamill as excellent examples). Adams would wrestle as babyface in full judoka regalia and employ his famous "Judo Kick" as a feared move that eventually evolved into the "superkick" that we see so frequently in contemporary rings today.

Thank you, I appreciated that,

We got World Class on TV here in central Cali for awhile, and the magazines of course. So familiar with Adams, The Freebirds, etc but don't recall ever seeing Hernandez, Just knew about him (magazines) and what happened, kinda.
