Imagine if Daniel Bryan loses the title to HHH at WM 30.
It would be awesome from a heat standpoint... I have no problem with that if they build it in a yuge mo-mint at summer slam. The trouble with these idiots today is they book in such a reactionary fashion, if they got that mega heat they'd hot shot the belt back on Bryan the Raw after mania for no effect.

They've already botched Bryan at WrestleMania

I think last night they planted the seeds for a Cena turn... now he has beaten Orton non-title so he and Bryan have seeds of discontent in who's the number one contender and last night was the first time I heard of Bryan as being part of some new generation during the Cena-Orton match

WWE Network launches in 2 weeks :excited: Sounds like they're stacking the Feb 24 RAW as a result.
Please let it be so. I'm going to be there with my kids on the 24th. Sounds like Taker is returning that night.

The following week Raw is in Chicago. Then we'll know for sure if the CM Punk chants are being edited out.

There is a Smackdown taping here next week and my wife wants to buy me a ticket for it, but I told her no based on my past experience.

As a birthday gift last year my wife and kids bought me a really nice seat to one of the tapings. Now mind you they buy me one ticket, so I am going to this show alone. Nothing screams desperation and :nerd: more than showing up a wrestling show as a 44 year old man alone.

So I grab two beers (maybe someone will think I am not alone is the image I am sending out here) but my seat is right in the middle of one of the long rows. (2nd row center I might add) However, it seems my row is made up entirely of little children. So I sit down and immediately this mom, probably concerned about her little child sitting next to this strange man carrying large beers, comes and sits between me and her child. (Of course in my little world I believed she did that because she wanted to sit next to me. ) But talk about an uncomfortable evening. It was kind of like being stuck between two fat men on an airplane--little child on one side--over-protective mom on the the other. I couldn't move and I couldn't really cheer because I didn't want to scare the little kids around me and frankly I would have felt more foolish than I already looked.

Luckily during the break, the beer stand was close by and my wife picked me up in front of the arena so driving was not an issue.

Let's just say I don't want a repeat of this....

Sounds like you're going to see a great show. Taker, Hogan, Brock confirmed. HBK rumored.

:lmao: That'd be uncomfortable.

Not that you'd have had a choice here (unless buying a new ticket), always get an end seat.

This. Plus bring another 44 year old along. I mean come one one 44 year old alone at a wraslin event is bad enough you say. Get two 44 year olds together at an wraslin event and that's desperate nerd gold!

I gotta say, this Shield-Wyatts buildup is so good. That's the match of the year.

And Shaemus-Cesaro goin at it was awesome as well.

Went to the Raw in Buffalo last year when Undertaker returned was awesome.

I miss the surprise factor I use the PW app and always ruin it for myself. I wish the writers would jump around the board like they used too. Always will miss the attitude era.

So does everyone think Bryan wins the chamber and he triple threats with Batista and Orton

Or

Is Bryan going to get jobbed so he and HHH will shift to Mania

WWE announced today Hall of Fame ceremony will air Live on WWE Network. :excited: Ultimate Warrior, Jake the Snake Roberts & Lita have been announced so far.

I wish the earlier Great American Bash's were available as well as all of the Clash of the Champions cards. I would also like to see all of the Saturday Night's Main Event programs.

I'd also like to see the AWA represented here. They used to do a card called Superclash.

I wish the earlier Great American Bash's were available, as well as all of the Saturday Night's Main Event programs.

I'd also like to see the AWA represented here. They used to do a card called Superclash.
Wow.

I think the first thing I'm going to do is watch all of the ECW ones from start to finish. I wasn't watching wrestling then and that would be a fun series to watch from start to finish.

Jericho's two-part interview with Chavo Guerroro is really good - Chavo talks at length about Eddie's and Chris Benoit's deaths. Although it comes off as a bit disingenuous because neither Jericho nor Chavo ever utter anything about steroids in those cases.
Just finished this. It was really, really good.

Really enjoyed the inside glance into the "work week" of these guys. Fly some where, drive and do shows for four days, fly back. Home for 2 days, do it again. The amount of frequent flier miles/hotel points/rental car points these guys have must be insane. But it also just got to be a grind. Real respect to the guys that are out there all year long as opposed to the part time guys.

Really love this podcast in general. This was a very very solid interview.

Jericho is a god at what ever he does.

Cena vs Cesaro with a Match of the Year Moment tonight, No Joke.

And it was ####### awesome..
Cesaro vs Orton last Friday on smackdown was great too. Tonight's match between Cesaro and Cena is INDEED early match of the year front runner! Cesaro is breaking out into superstardom!!!

Really good show. Cesaro-Cena was insane.

But again Wyatts-Shield tension steals it for me.

Still haven't seen Fozzy. Will finally see them live at the Carolina Rebellion.

Cena/Cesaro was great. WWE needs a fresh main event guy like him.

Orton/Sheamus puts me to sleep. No offense to either, anything either do nowadays has me changing the channel.

Tiger Fan said:
So is Batista 100% definitely going to happen for WM30? The dude is a complete bore IMO.
I doubt they expected his return to get met with such ambivalence from fans, and it might not have had they not shoved him in the main event of WM right off the bat at the expense of fan favorites like Punk and Bryan, but since he won the Rumble, and there is only one world tite now, they boxed themselves into a corner. If there were still two world champs, they could just throw him in the world title match, which has been early in the card in the past few Wrestlemanias, instead of the WWE title match, but, like I said, they kind of screwed themselves.

If they go ahead with Orton defending against Batista at Mania, there's absolutely no chance in hell they can put that on last.

My guess is since Batista/Undertaker still might not happen since Batista might not be willing to go down to Texas and work the match out for weeks with 'Taker, that they still might go with Cena/Undertaker, and if they do, that will go last. The crowds never #### on Undertaker Wrestlemania matches, and Orton/Batista going last would be an utter disaster, and they have to know it now.

I started reading this last night. This is written by the guy who does the Dead Wrestler of the Week on Deadspin. He's started out with Gotch and Hackenschmidt and has moved into the Territorial Era. This is a speedy read, full of good stories and well written. IMO, you'll like this book.

The Masked Man also does a weekly column on Grantland. I really enjoyed the book too, although I always want more on some of my favorite guys (like Brian Pillman).

He also is one half of the "Cheap Heat" podcast on the Grantland Network. Another really good listen about once a week.

Ironic WWE finally unifies the world titles to mark its' significance and we get something as insignificant as Orton/Batista at Mania.

At this point, I think they've saddled themselves to having Orton/Batista as the title match (or part of a possible 3 way) at Mania. If it's not in that match, there's really nowhere to place Orton on the card, unless you want another tired feud with Sheamus, ADR etc...

I'll never understand WWE's continued infatuation with the guy. He's had a nice 10 year run at the top of the card. IMO He is this generation's Triple H (the guy at the top of the card that faces the guy that draws) Only difference being HHH could also help get someone else over (which he undoubtedly did for Orton himself and Batista)

Cesaro has finally won Vince McMahon over after his stellar match against John Cena last night on RAW, according to SEScoops.com.

Vince was said to be “thrilled” with the match and has finally recognized Cesaro’s potential.

Several of Vince’s trusted advisors told him they think Cesaro can be one of the biggest stars in the company.

Cesaro has been over fans and colleagues with his unique move set and his impressive feats of strength, but it was only a year ago when Vince told the writers and producers that didn't see money in him.

During the commercial breaks last night they were advertising the Smackdown taping here tonight and which stars were going to be present. The first commercial said come see the Wyatts, Orton and CM PUNK :excited:

Yet the next set of commericals didn't mention him.

However, I was all expecting him to make an appearance during RAW last night.

I thought there was a decent chance that Brock would pulverize Christian and take his spot at the Chamber. But since it didn't happen last night, it won't happen. No way do you use Brock at a PPV without advertizing it beforehand. Too bad, because Brock-Batista>>>>>Orton-Batista. In fact, outside of Brock, Batista is not compelling in any way. I guess Bryan-Batista could be an interesting story if Bats takes over the Orton role as The Chosen One. I don't know if even Bryan could carry both Orton and Bats in a 3-way. Strike that; he could, but would we want to see it?

I get what you're saying about where could Orton fit in if not in the title match. Personally, the lower on the card he ends up, the better. In fact, have him face HHH and get the two low points over with at once. I used to like HHH somewhat but can do without him in the ring at this stage.

Agree he could. I'd accept anything just to not see a 1-on-1 Batista/Orton match. (I think it's almost evitable Orton wins EC and they use HHH as the impartial 3rd wheel & former Evolution past to build the match between EC and Mania). Hope I'm wrong.

I think Daniel Bryan running turnbuckle to turnbuckle hitting the two for 30 minutes straight would be more exciting than Batista/Orton 1-on-1.

Cena on Stone Cold's podcast was a really good listen.
Listened to this last night. Was really, really good. I don't know if it would make you a Cena fan if you weren't, but I gained a lot of respect for the guy. Really smart, really driven, always looking forward. And the guy just gets it.

Triple H is at least one level below the greats, if not more. If he doesn't marry Stephanie, his career is completely different.

Disagree. He's right there with Rock and Austin from his era. Those two had nothin on The Game.

Let's be serious. HHH cannot touch those two. Austin sits alongside Hogan as the most iconic wrestling figures ever, and Rock is in the next tier with Flair and Cena. I am not sure I'd even put HHH in the next tier, to be honest, as Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Randy Savage, etc. are all ahead of him.

You must be talking strictly WWE because if you think in all of wrestling that Austin is in the tier ahead of Flair...

Even at his peak, as iconic as Flair was, it was still mostly in just the south where most of the NWA's shows in the 80s were. Flair was never really a guy who was huge everywhere and dominated, like Hogan in the 80s or Austin in the late 90s/early 00s. Not his fault that the NWA didn't go everywhere, but while he wasn't merely a local star like Lawler was in Memphis, he was more of a regional star. Flair was huge in the south; Hogan was huge everywhere.

See I agree Hogan is one of the top figures, but you have to have Sammartino and Andre in the mix there as well.

I would put these three at the top and then make a tier of Austin, Rock, etc...

Truth is in between. HHH was a legitimately great wrestler and frontline superstar. He wasn't the draw/character of Rock or Austin and obviously the Steph link gave him a ton of advantages/status he wouldn't have otherwise had. But he ascended to main eventer before Steph came aboard with him. He was going to go down as a standout regardless of the power he inhereted ... he did abuse it to get even further, but discrediting him completely is IMO foolish.
