It would be awesome from a heat standpoint... I have no problem with that if they build it in a yuge mo-mint at summer slam. The trouble with these idiots today is they book in such a reactionary fashion, if they got that mega heat they'd hot shot the belt back on Bryan the Raw after mania for no effect.Imagine if Daniel Bryan loses the title to HHH at WM 30.
Please let it be so. I'm going to be there with my kids on the 24th. Sounds like Taker is returning that night.WWE Network launches in 2 weeksSounds like they're stacking the Feb 24 RAW as a result.
more than showing up a wrestling show as a 44 year old man alone.
) But talk about an uncomfortable evening. It was kind of like being stuck between two fat men on an airplane--little child on one side--over-protective mom on the the other. I couldn't move and I couldn't really cheer because I didn't want to scare the little kids around me and frankly I would have felt more foolish than I already looked. There is a Smackdown taping here next week and my wife wants to buy me a ticket for it, but I told her no based on my past experience.
As a birthday gift last year my wife and kids bought me a really nice seat to one of the tapings. Now mind you they buy me one ticket, so I am going to this show alone. Nothing screams desperation andmore than showing up a wrestling show as a 44 year old man alone.
So I grab two beers (maybe someone will think I am not alone is the image I am sending out here) but my seat is right in the middle of one of the long rows. (2nd row center I might add) However, it seems my row is made up entirely of little children. So I sit down and immediately this mom, probably concerned about her little child sitting next to this strange man carrying large beers, comes and sits between me and her child. (Of course in my little world I believed she did that because she wanted to sit next to me.) But talk about an uncomfortable evening. Luckily during the break, the beer stand was close by and my wife picked me up in front of the arena so driving was not an issue.
Let's just say I don't want a repeat of this....

The following week Raw is in Chicago. Then we'll know for sure if the CM Punk chants are being edited out.

That'd be uncomfortable.
This. Plus bring another 44 year old along. I mean come one one 44 year old alone at a wraslin event is bad enough you say. Get two 44 year olds together at an wraslin event and that's desperate nerd gold! There is a Smackdown taping here next week and my wife wants to buy me a ticket for it, but I told her no based on my past experience.

Just finished this. It was really, really good.Jericho's two-part interview with Chavo Guerroro is really good - Chavo talks at length about Eddie's and Chris Benoit's deaths. Although it comes off as a bit disingenuous because neither Jericho nor Chavo ever utter anything about steroids in those cases.

Really enjoyed the inside glance into the "work week" of these guys. Fly some where, drive and do shows for four days, fly back. Home for 2 days, do it again. The amount of frequent flier miles/hotel points/rental car points these guys have must be insane. But it also just got to be a grind. Real respect to the guys that are out there all year long as opposed to the part time guys.

Really love this podcast in general. This was a very very solid interview.
Cesaro vs Orton last Friday on smackdown was great too. Tonight's match between Cesaro and Cena is INDEED early match of the year front runner! Cesaro is breaking out into superstardom!!!Cena vs Cesaro with a Match of the Year Moment tonight, No Joke.
And it was ####### awesome..

I doubt they expected his return to get met with such ambivalence from fans, and it might not have had they not shoved him in the main event of WM right off the bat at the expense of fan favorites like Punk and Bryan, but since he won the Rumble, and there is only one world tite now, they boxed themselves into a corner. If there were still two world champs, they could just throw him in the world title match, which has been early in the card in the past few Wrestlemanias, instead of the WWE title match, but, like I said, they kind of screwed themselves.Tiger Fan said:So is Batista 100% definitely going to happen for WM30? The dude is a complete bore IMO.
The Masked Man also does a weekly column on Grantland. I really enjoyed the book too, although I always want more on some of my favorite guys (like Brian Pillman).I started reading this last night. This is written by the guy who does the Dead Wrestler of the Week on Deadspin. He's started out with Gotch and Hackenschmidt and has moved into the Territorial Era. This is a speedy read, full of good stories and well written. IMO, you'll like this book.

I thought there was a decent chance that Brock would pulverize Christian and take his spot at the Chamber. But since it didn't happen last night, it won't happen. No way do you use Brock at a PPV without advertizing it beforehand. Too bad, because Brock-Batista>>>>>Orton-Batista. In fact, outside of Brock, Batista is not compelling in any way. I guess Bryan-Batista could be an interesting story if Bats takes over the Orton role as The Chosen One. I don't know if even Bryan could carry both Orton and Bats in a 3-way. Strike that; he could, but would we want to see it?Ironic WWE finally unifies the world titles to mark its' significance and we get something as insignificant as Orton/Batista at Mania.
At this point, I think they've saddled themselves to having Orton/Batista as the title match (or part of a possible 3 way) at Mania. If it's not in that match, there's really nowhere to place Orton on the card, unless you want another tired feud with Sheamus, ADR etc...
I'll never understand WWE's continued infatuation with the guy. He's had a nice 10 year run at the top of the card. IMO He is this generation's Triple H (the guy at the top of the card that faces the guy that draws) Only difference being HHH could also help get someone else over (which he undoubtedly did for Orton himself and Batista)
Agree he could. I'd accept anything just to not see a 1-on-1 Batista/Orton match. (I think it's almost evitable Orton wins EC and they use HHH as the impartial 3rd wheel & former Evolution past to build the match between EC and Mania). Hope I'm wrong.. I don't know if even Bryan could carry both Orton and Bats in a 3-way. Strike that; he could, but would we want to see it?
HHH is an all time great, IMO. Dude was a STUD for years.Ironic WWE finally unifies the world titles to mark its' significance and we get something as insignificant as Orton/Batista at Mania.

Listened to this last night. Was really, really good. I don't know if it would make you a Cena fan if you weren't, but I gained a lot of respect for the guy. Really smart, really driven, always looking forward. And the guy just gets it.Cena on Stone Cold's podcast was a really good listen.
HHH is an all time great, IMO. Dude was a STUD for years.Ironic WWE finally unifies the world titles to mark its' significance and we get something as insignificant as Orton/Batista at Mania.
Disagree. He's right there with Rock and Austin from his era. Those two had nothin on The Game.HHH is an all time great, IMO. Dude was a STUD for years.Ironic WWE finally unifies the world titles to mark its' significance and we get something as insignificant as Orton/Batista at Mania.

Triple H is at least one level below the greats, if not more. If he doesn't marry Stephanie, his career is completely different.
You must be talking strictly WWE because if you think in all of wrestling that Austin is in the tier ahead of Flair...Let's be serious. HHH cannot touch those two. Austin sits alongside Hogan as the most iconic wrestling figures ever, and Rock is in the next tier with Flair and Cena. I am not sure I'd even put HHH in the next tier, to be honest, as Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Randy Savage, etc. are all ahead of him.

Truth is in between. HHH was a legitimately great wrestler and frontline superstar. He wasn't the draw/character of Rock or Austin and obviously the Steph link gave him a ton of advantages/status he wouldn't have otherwise had. But he ascended to main eventer before Steph came aboard with him. He was going to go down as a standout regardless of the power he inhereted ... he did abuse it to get even further, but discrediting him completely is IMO foolish. He's right there with Rock and Austin from his era.HHH is an all time great, IMO.
