Week 1 Results

Had Plummer/Carr/Delhomme in my 12 team dynasty league

Started Delhomme

Delhomme 19 points

284 pass yards

2 tds

1 int

Carr 6 points

229 pass yards

12 rush yards

2 ints

Plummer 20 points

230 pass yards

30 rush yards

2 tds

2 ints

So I lost out on 1 point, not too bad but I lost the game by much more.

On to week 2.

Early thought is on Carr @ Det

My QBBC:Delhomme v GBGannon @ PitBrunell v TBI too waited a round or two longer than I should have for a QB!I'm going with Delhomme week 1. The other matchups aren't all that appealing to me, and I need Gannon and Brunell to prove something before I start them.My personal feeling is that Brunell may end up starting for me by the end of the year. The team has too much talent on offense to not put up decent numbers all around.
Week 1 started Delhomme. Had the second highest points scored but lost to the high scorer! :wall: Couldn't overcome Priest and Q with Martin/Faulk. Moss had TDs but no yards.Delhomme - 19 ptsGannon - 24 pts (wouldn't have made a difference)Brunell - 6 ptsVERY concerned about the loss of S Smith for Delhomme. I like the KC matchup but I'm thinking that it's going to turn into the Davis/Foster show, esp. on the road.Gannon gets Buffalo at home, so he's being considered. Despite Brunell's bad Week 1, I'm considering him against the Giants on the road.I might go with the hot hand at home - Gannon. Will report back next week...

This week's matchups.Gannon v BUFPlummer @ JACGarcia @ DALI'm looking for Dallas D to rebound this week, and Jax to contain the Denver running game making things tough on Plummer.I'm going Gannon with a chip on his shoulder at home.

I've gotPlummer @ JaxBrunell @ NYGGarcia @ DalLeaning towards Garcia @ Dallas. This is my worst matchup scenario of the season.

Well I actually went thru with it. I dropped harrington and picked up a.j. feelymy rationalle was that harrington was barely serviceable but with rogers gone it was time to climb out on a limb ( that may break off admittedly)this weekplummer@jaxmaddox@ baltimorefeely @ cincyfirstly qbbc is all about matchups...so maddox agasinst a tough baltimore d is outplummer did a nice job last week but would have scored fewer points without a couple of 1 yd td passes and is going against a jax defense that seems poised to be in the upper half of the league.that leaves feely against a cincy defense who looked HORRIBLE last week both against the pass and the run.since miami has no ground game look for feely to pass for 2 td's and get at least 250 yds....the start week 2 goes to ......A.J FEELYTHE SCORE SO FAR FOR ME.... 1-0-0 and my overall record is 1-0the other way i've decided to keep score of my qbbc team is by avg qb pointsavg for 1 week : 24 points....good enough for the 8th best qb in my league.

Week 2 adventures in QBBC

Gannon vs BUF

Carr @ DET

Leftwich vs DEN

I really do not like Gannon matching up against BUF's D this week. Although Gannon is much more experienced than Leftwich who was virtually shut down by BUF last week, I don't like this match up. Oaklands rushing game struggled against PIT last week and I feel BUF which stopped Fred Taylor last week is a better run D than the Steelers are.

Which means they can sit on playing pass D vs. Oakland.

Of course I was wrong last week about benching Gannon so there is that.

Carr looks like my best play vs. a bad DET D. Hopefully Carr does not turn the ball over like he did last week. DD should punch through the Lions run D forcing them to bring 8 into the box opening up the passing game for Carr.

Leftwich looked confused and just flat bad against Buffalo.

Champ Bailey will most likely be matched up on Jimmy Smith, (that's bad), and with Fred Taylor still hurting I do not think this bodes well for Leftwich this week either.

If I'm wrong again this week you might want to start staying away from whomever I say I'm starting in the following weeks. :bag:

Harrington vs. TexansMaddox vs. RavensBrees vs. JetsTook Joey last week; that was the correct pick. Picked up Brees after week one; he was tha last available starting QB in the wire. Dropped Samie Parker for him. 16 team league, 16 players on each team.Ruling Maddox out. That leaves me Joey and Drew.JOEY: Drew tore up (relatively speaking) the Texans last week. Lions play at home. Played basically all of last week without Rogers. Game plan should be different this week, with all recievers actually practicing where they are going to play. However, the Lions still tooked bad: lots of dropped passes, lots of 4 yard passes on 3rd and 7. Joey would not have had a TD if not for special teams putting them in the red zone.BREES: Plays a suspect Jet secondary. This game out to be a shoot out. They may have to throw it just to keep it close, and you can't forget the underneath play to LT that could be TD at any time. Carson put up 248 against the Jets, but of course, he has CJ.FBG Rankings have Joey over Drew by .4 point. That is pretty close!I am a Detroit homer, so talk me out of Harrington please!

Gannon was the right choice for me last week. He got me 27 as compared to Garcia getting me 19, and McCown getting me 9. I dropped McCown. He is going to struggle until he gets his WR's back. Garcia did much better than I thought he would against the Ravens Defense. I had a great week, won all four league match ups I had. This week:Garcia vs Cowboys - Leaning toward him being my starter. The Cowboys have no running game and Cleveland shut down one of the best backs in the league last week. Vinny will be chucking the ball around which should make for a high scoring game. Garcia can move around a little and will have some rushing yards. He also looked good throwing to Green out of the backfield. He will definitely have more passing yards than last week. I don't see the Cowboys giving up 5 TD's this week, 2 or 3 is not out of the question. Gannon vs Bills - Would probably still be a good start. They can't run the ball either so the Bills will be putting lots of pressure on Gannon. The Bills defense looked good against Lefty last week, I think Gannon will do better than Lefty though. The Bills will look to run the ball and control the clock. We know the Raiders will air it out. Just how much time will they have the ball is the question. Fargas being injured hurts them also. Garcia will be starting for me!

Gannon vs BUFPalmer vs MIAPlummer @ JAXI don't like any of these matchups. I've already ruled out Plummer on the road vs JAX, as he has sucked over his career on the road and Jacksonville has a good defense. My initial feeling was to go with Gannon, but OAK may try to focus more on the running game and this could turn into a low-scoring, ugly affair. I'm liking Palmer more and more, especially with Surtain being doubtful for the game and backup CB Howard questionable. If Feeley can get Miami's offense going a little bit, I like Palmer's chances the best for having a big game, so I guess he will be my choice.

Plummer @ JaxDelhomme @ KCEven though Delhomme lost Smith and Davis, I'll still play him over Plummer. This will still be a high-scoring game with KC getting an early lead and the Panthers playing catch-up. Delhomme will air it out (esp. to Foster out of the backfield), and in my league we count 1 pt./completion, so he could be in for a big day.I played Delhomme last week and he outpointed him 42-36. Unfortunately I lost by one point; if C. Johnson or Ward had gotten 1 more yard, I would have won. :wall:

Garcia vs Cowboys - Leaning toward him being my starter. Gannon vs Bills - Would probably still be a good start. Garcia will be starting for me!
Hope you survived that decision.I'm 100% so far with my group of Garcia (12.12), Plummer (14.12), and Gannon (18.12).Garcia is falling out of favor so I'll probably be leaning toward a 2-man rotation unless Cleveland has a far superior matchup. This week I predicted that Jax would contain the Q, making things tough for Plummer. I don't know if that assumption was correct, because he still completed 23 for 250, but no TDs.Gannon threw up a monster 1st half before they reigned him in for some reason.Gannon 28.35Plummer 25.40Garcia 6.45

START OF WEEK THREELast Week's Choice:I again went against Footballguys rankings and started Gannon over Garcia and Palmer, and am thankful it was the correct choice! Had I started either Garcia or Palmer, I would have lost my matchup in this league.WEEK 2 Points:Gannon: 14 points (vs. Bills)Garcia: 3 points (vs. Cowboys)Palmer: 5 points (vs. 'phins)Early Week 3 Thoughts:Gannon vs. TBGarcia vs. at NYGPalmer vs. BaltimoreBoth Gannon and Garcia are at home, but have extremely difficult matchups, while Garcia is on the road and has a favorable matchup. Right now I'm leaning towards Garcia even after his dismal week last week. The Cleveland WR's have had opportunities, but haven't made plays. Jeff looked very poised in week 1, even great at times, while last week he looked like a deer in headlights much of the game. Dallas' D looked as good as last year, yet Garcia had multiple drops that would have at least given him a decent week. The upside of last week is that Cleveland continued to throw the ball downfield, and given time, odds say some of these will be completed. Since this is not a points per completion league, I'd prefer long TD's to nickle & diming down the field. Also, the Giants D played better this week (after getting bulldozed by Philly in week 1), though they still gave up 235 yards passing, 47 yards rushing and 2 TD's to Brunell and Ramsey combined. I'd be ecstatic if Garcia put up these numbers; and I expect them to be similar! I don't see myself changing my mind, though I will check in again later in the week. I am not going to start Palmer against Ray-Ray; and TB just shut-down Hasselbeck and Co. which doesn't happen often.FINAL DECISION:I am going with Garcia, playing the best match-up of the week, instead of playing the best QB (Gannon IMHO). I think Garcia will get something regardless this week; and with my opponent owning Priest, I have no need to try for the homerun at any one position = Knock 'em dead Garcia!

Well, Gannon over BJohnson and Leftwich was definitely the right call in Week 2. I definitely did not like the Tampa or Jax matchups, and Gannon did enough Week 1 to earn a start. Pretty much ditto on Week 3 for me, with Leftwich facing the Titans on the road and Brad Johnson in the Black Hole lookin' over his shoulder at Chucky and Simms. Tampa D is tough, but the Raiders can't run the ball worth a crap and they will protect Gannon.

Week 2 results:Plummer, 13.5Harrington, 14Lefty, 8Starting Plummer seems to have been a good decision, thogh Harrington would have given me a half point more. I lost either way and it was not all that close. For week 3, I think I will will have to go again with Plummer who faces the awfull SD D. Seems to be an easy pick this week.

I started Harrington over Maddox and Brees last week - Good choice since he was the only one who did't get knocked out of the game with injury. Even if the others's had made it through healthy, Harrington put up decent numbers.Week 3:Harrington vs. EaglesBig-Ben vs. MiamiBrees vs. Broncos.Going with Harrington again. The Only home QB. Has done better than expected so far.Harrington: 190 yards, 2 TD's, 2 Int's.

Week 3:Gannon v TBGarcia @ NYGPlummer v SDI'm struggling to make a decision this week. Garcia stunk up the joint in Week 2 so I'm leery of playing him even though he probably has the best matchup. I've prepared myself for losing with him on my bench until I see Cleveland do something on offense. Gannon has looked the best of my three, and he's at home under the lights this week, but against a tough defense, especially since they can't run the ball. I think he will either be a very good or very bad play this week. Plummer has been inconsistent but productive fantasy-wise thus far, and he gets the nod at home vs Marty-ball.Through two weeks my committee ranks 9th among QBs in my league - not great.ETA 2 hrs later, I have changed my mind and will go with Garcia and the NYG matchup. Ugh.

Last week I missed the mark playing Delhomme over Carr ... I still cruised to a W on the back of C-Mart so it didn't matter much ... what was surprising was the points Carr posted vs Delhomme 24 vs 16 .... both more than servicable. This week it's all in Carr's hands as Jake gets the week off !!Good luck this week to the rest of this QBBC crew!

okay after my pick up feely to play against the bungles debacle i watched joey harrington ( whom I dropped) go off against the texans.... I overthought the situation and lost a qb in the process..... also I lost maddox to injury so my qbbc is fast becoming 1 qb.the best part of going qbbc ( if you do it right) is it allows you to stockpile good players that you can trade if the QBBC doesnt work out. im about to that point as I have 4 GOOD runningbacks on my team. for this week. however im ok.my new 3 qbbc rotation is:plummer against S.Drothlinsberger against miamiand ken dorsey against seattleno contest ...easiest lineup decision all year... plummer gets the start week 3as to the results last week:started aj feely who got me 14 pointsplummer on the bench got 12and an injured maddox got 2so im KINDA 2 for 2 in picking the right qb... ( but harrington whom i dropped was actually the right play)the more important stat ( and the one to me that shows whether or not QBBC actually works...... is average points per week for your STARTING QBBC choice ....and where that would land you year to date in reguard to the other qb's you could have drafted.......I would like to request that more of you include stats like the following:my QBBC has produced for me 38 fantasy points ....an average of 19 points per week..... which in my league would rank as the 13th best fantasy qb ..... ( michael vick) not where I want to be but heres hoping plummer lights up the S.D. defense this week !!!

Garcia vs GiantsGannon vs TBB. Johnson (WW) vs OaklandI didn't survive last weeks decision to start Garcia. :wall: I lost the game and would have won if I had started Gannon. I watched the game and Garcia looked terrible. He didn't seem to be on the same page with his WR when he did have time to throw. Needless to say, I am soured on him. I know he has the best match up this week, but I leaning towards Gannon. He may not go off, but he won't have a 5 pt week like Garcia did last week. If I can get 12 - 15 out of him, I'll take it. I picked up Johnson off the free agent market to add to the mix. He never gets any respect, yet has been very respectable by the end of most years. I think Tampa will turn it around offensively, Johnson runs the west coast offense as well as anyone. Clayton looks like he could emerge as the go to guy. I may be making a mistake again this week, but I'm going with Gannon. Still got a bad taste in my mouth about Garcia. :X

In week 3, I have Testaverde @ Washington & Gannon vs Tampa Bay.Even though Gannon is at home, I'm going to start Testaverde. The Oakland / Tampa Bay looks like a defensive struggle with two bad offenses going against two strong defenses. With Testaverde on the road and Dallas' running backs nicked up, Testaverde will probably have to throw more. Also the injury to Arrington should slow Washington's pass rush.

Here is the QBBC I have been going with (Gannon and Delhomme). Thus far I have picked the best QB each week.Week 1--Gannon--14 pts (Delhomme 8pts.)Week 2--Delhomme--12pts (Gannon 4pts.)I am tied for 2nd in overall QB points "played" (not counting bench QB points) with the Culpepper owner (2nd round) and behind the McNabb owner (4th round). Not bad for grabbing my two QBs in the 9th and 16th rounds of a 16 round draft. I know it is early, but I am happy I went with the QBBC approach this year. I was a little bummed this week because the Brunell owner grabbed David Carr which left me shy of the best WW QB in the league. Vinny T. is still available, and with Delhomme on a bye I was tempted to grab him and start him, but I am too scared to drop either Gannon or Delhomme.

Week 2 Results and Week 3 Choice

Carr - 25 (Starter)

Gannon - 16

Leftwich - 10

I choose wisely this week.

Carr at KC - The Chefs (They are playing like Chefs not Chiefs) D is almost non existent. Hopefully this doesn't mean too much DD resulting in low passing stats for Carr.

Gannon vs. TB - Still a decent D. I do not really like this match up as much as Carr vs. KC.

Lewftwich at TEN - Until Leftwich actually puts up a decnt score he is huggng the pine liike my life depends on it.

Week 3 results:Plummer (starter): 18.5Harrington: 13Lefty: 10Made the right choice for the 3rd straight week and only need 2 points from Portis (40 yds, or a td) tonight to pull out the win. Here is the break down thus far:Week 1: 4th best QB 15 pts (best possible choice)Week 2: 7th best QB 13.5 pts (could have had 14 pts out of Harrington, rather meaningless)Week 3: 6th best QB 18.5 pts (best possible choice)Nothing spectacular, but enough to be in or win games. If Portis manages the 2 points, I am looking at a 2-1 start. I'll be holding my breath.Just wanted to make note that: The great thing about the QBBC is that even though my opponent this week had Favre and his gaudy 26 points. I am still very much so able to win due to the strength gained at other positions over him.

I've got:Johnson @ WasPlummer vs KCMaddox vs OakLeaning towards Maddox as Oakland's pass defense looks real shaky. Plummer would also be a good play but I'm sure Denver will want to run the ball as much as they can.
That was week one. After week 3, I've cut Maddox and BJ, added Roethlisberger as my backup, abandoned QBBC and I'm rolling with Plummer for the rest of the year.So much for that experiment.

abandoned QBBC and I'm rolling with Plummer for the rest of the year.So much for that experiment.
 I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Harrington and Lefty don't seem to be working out very well at all and I have started Plummer all 3 weeks thus far any way. The Den running game IS in fact missing Portis and Plummer could start to see the benifits of this. I'm certainly not ready to jump ship on this QBBC just yet, but the thought had def crossed my mind. :)

I also decided to do QBBC with Delhomme and Garcia:Week 1: Garcia (20.3) *Delhomme (21.2); QBBC points - 21.2 rank - 7Week 2: Garcia (3.95) *Delhomme (19); QBBC points - 40.2 rank - 7Week 3: *Garcia (12.9) Delhomme (Bye); QBBC points - 52.9 rank - 10*Denotes StarterMy QBBC is just above Michael Vick :X . Not great (but then again, Vick went in the first round in my league! :wall: ).For next week I have:Jeff Garcia vs. WashingtonJake Delhomme vs. AtlantaSeems like a no-brainer on this one to go with Delhomme again. Right now Delhomme is averaging out to a #7 QB on his own, so I really can't complain. It's not like I'm going to upgrade by going and getting C-Pep or something :D . Considering that I got both these guys late in the draft, I'm thinking I have great value.

I went with Dodds on this one, and waiting until 100 picks into the draft to take a QB. Once I took one, though, I couldn't stop taking them; and they kept multiplying until I had 7 QB's, knowing 2 would emerge as my starters. Which was all fine and dandy until....Rich Gannon lost the head on battle with Derrick BrooksTommy Maddox got his arm practically torn offRex Grossman tore his knee up diving for a TDTim Rattay finds himself unhelathy enough to get past Ken DorseyJay Fiedler finds himself carrying a clipboard in an anermic offenseBut I still have Plummer and Leftwich. :) I heard Plummer cut himself shaving when he finally got rid of that ugly looking mustache, but it didn't seem to affect his game adversely. Leftwich may have injured his pride as the first QB in a long time to guide his team to 3-0 despite putting up just 35 points in those games. (This may be an incorrect statement, but I would think it is a rare situtation).

My QBBC is going well so far...Week 1 - Delhomme* 21, Plummer 20, Carr 6; rank = 5Week 2 - Delhomme* 21, Plummer 12, Carr 25; rank = 9Week 3 - Delhomme bye, Plummer* 23, Carr 15; rank = 9That puts me at 4th in the league in QB starter points (behind McNabb, Daunte, and Manning). Not bad at all. I'm 3-0 with the second highest total points. It's a 14 team league, so some teams could use a QB and I could use a WR. I'm tempted to trade one of these guys while their values are relatively high (all 3 are in the top 12 in QB ppg).

I was able to acquire Collins to take Gannon's place on my committee. The question to be answered this year for me is whether or not it's worth the heartache and extra roster spots required to implement the committee approach.

Here's what we've got so far:

Week 1 - Plummer 30.80, Gannon 30.25, Garcia 29.80

Week 2 - Plummer 25.40, Gannon 28.35 , Garcia 6.45

Week 3 - Plummer 39.30, Gannon 1.70 , Garcia 22.90

My QB points - 82.05, #10

Max QB points - 98.45, #7

The guy I could have drafted instead of going QBBC was

Hasselbeck - 78.15, #11

first week 3 resultshad no chice between plummer dorsey and rothlinsburgerplummer started threw for 294 yds and 2 scores...good for 29 fantasy points !!my record now stands at 2-1 with serious backup runningback trade bait because of qbbc decisionfor the year my qbbc has produced 67 fantasy points ...good for qb #7 numbers which at this time is brooks. admittedly plummer is a big part of that thru 3 weeks he is qb #8.... some would say not much of a qbbc but keep in mind I didnt use a 4th round or higher pick to get a qb.... plummer was an 8th rounder in my 12 team league. the qbbc aproach doesnt fail just because you may end up starting 1 guy alot...the prmise is still the same....not using a high draft pick on a qb and getting good production out of your qb anyway...onto week 4.... after losing joey harringtondue to a STUPID ww move i was fortunate to pick up brad johnson this wek after his nice week 3...hopefully it is a sign of the times ahead for tb... if not ive lost nothingthis week:plummer @ tampa bayjohnson against denverrothlinsburger against cincinnattiI dont see plummer having such a great game against a tough bucs d I have to consider him because he has been hot but i am banking on his yearly form holding and not doing great at tbrothlinsburger is the gutsy pick...with cincy in total array I could see roth getting his first decent game under his belt....just not sure i have that much gutsjohnson against denver at home is also a possibility...the question is with champ bailey and the rest of that denver defense can johnson put up back to back good starts after such a horrible start/.??? imnot sold....my decision comes down to rothlinsburger or johnson. I think I will wait till the footballguys rankings come out and if Rothlinsburger is within 4 or 5 spots of johnson he may start for me. it cannot be any worse than starting aj feely can it??????

I was able to acquire Collins to take Gannon's place on my committee. The question to be answered this year for me is whether or not it's worth the heartache and extra roster spots required to implement the committee approach.
that is something to consider...especially in limited roster spot leagues... my league is mandatory roster spots so I must keep 3 qb's no matter what.

:hot:  Man I wrote up a nice long post about how and why I am starting Lefty over Plummer this week only for it to be lost as the page would not load. :hot:  At any rate I'm going with Lefty @ Indy over Plummer @ TB. Harrington has bye.

My QBBC:Jake Plummer vs KCRich Gannon @ PITJosh McCown @ STLI really don't think I have that much of a committee to start the season because I believe "The Snake" will prove himself to be a #1. However, others would disagree and I may disagree after a few weeks.Plummer is at home. The others are on the road. KC had a crappy D last year and I don't know if they will be that improved in their first game.Choice Week 1: Jake "The Snake" Plummer
Sorry that I haven't chimed in since before week 1, but I have been starting Plummer every week and (as I suspected) he is not a QBBC, but he is actually a late round sleeper that other people just didin't like. I was able to sneak Plummer in several leagues. In two larger leagues, I took Plummer as my first QB off the board late in the draft. I am pretty happy with the results.

I've been using the Garcia / Harrington combo. I think it's time to dump Garcia for Lefty going forward.

I started Garcia last week, and he was my highest scoring committee member with only 13 points (Gannon =0, and Palmer = 12). I have miraculously started the best performer each of the first three weeks. Thus far:Gannon *26 *14 0Palmer 21 5 12Garcia 19 3 *13My starters' points = 53, which would be a misleading 9th overall as Brady, Delhomme and Pennington all have more points per game thus far (all had byes last week! I dropped Garcia and picked up Collins the second I heard that Gannon went down. This makes this weeks choice a no-brainer for me. I will be starting Collins with no questions this week. I love his matchup.

My QBBC is Plummer and Delhomme, they have averaged me 12 points per game. That is #7 in my league, which just happens to be Plummer  As others have pointed out, Plummer is turning out to be a nice late round QB sleeper rather then just another QBBC member. But I will still play the matchups, starting Delhomme over Plummer this weekend.

Of course another problem with QBBC is actually picking the right QB, which I have not done for the last two weeks, and it will most likely cause a loss this week.

Week 1 - Plummer 30.80, Gannon 30.25, Garcia 29.80

Week 2 - Plummer 25.40, Gannon 28.35 , Garcia 6.45

Week 3 - Plummer 39.30, Gannon 1.70 , Garcia 22.90

Week 4 - Plummer 20.20 , Collins 10.35, Garcia 22.25

My QB points - 92.40, 23.1 ppg (#18  , right behind Volek)

Max QB points - 120.7, 30.2 ppg (#9)

The guy I would have drafted instead of going QBBC was

Hasselbeck - 78.15, 26.05 ppg (#15)

My Gannon/Plummer/Palmer QBBC got disrupted by injury, so it looks like less QBBC and more "get your ### in there Plummer."

Well made the right choice again in starting Lefty in week 4.Lefty, 19.5 points and top QB this week!Plummer, 9 points and 21st QB this week.I still lost though and my record is down to 2-2.Weekly breakdown thus far:Week 1: 4th best QB 15 pts (best possible choice)Week 2: 7th best QB 13.5 pts (could have had 14 pts out of Harrington, rather meaningless)Week 3: 6th best QB 18.5 pts (best possible choice)Week 4: 1st place QB 19.5 pts (best possible choice)My QBs currently rank as the 3rd best in the league, appears to be working very well. And to think everyone in the league said they were a clear weakness  Now all I need is for my RBs to get healthy and produce and I can be on my way. :wall:

Boy this thread sure has started to die, page 13  Anyway, I am still using my QBBC and in full force right now. Went with Lefty again this week and he was the right choice again. Got me 21 points well above both Harrington and Pluummers (9 and 13) and was the 3rd highest starting QB this week. He also helped push my team to 3-2, got some help from C.Brown last night as well. ;) Weekly breakdown thus far:Week 1: 4th best QB 15 pts (best possible choice)Week 2: 7th best QB 13.5 pts (could have had 14 pts out of Harrington, rather meaningless)Week 3: 6th best QB 18.5 pts (best possible choice)Week 4: 1st place QB 19.5 pts (best possible choice)Week 5: 3rd best QB 21 pts (best possible choice)My QBBC currently ranks as the 4th highest scoring starting QBs and only a half pt away from 3rd.

It looks like Rattay is making a case to restart a committee with Plummer and Palmer (why is he still on my team?). My big decision this week will be Plummer @ Oak (traditionally he's much worse on the road) or Rattay @ Jets (garbage points galore?). Anyone else thinking of using Rattay? I'm leaning that way.

Update after two more weeks...Week 4 - Delhomme* 9, Plummer 12, Carr 18, Brees 26; rank = 20Week 5 - Delhomme 18, Plummer 17, Carr* 34, Brees 20; rank = 2Survived bad decision in week 4 thanks to Priest. Then had Carr save my bye depleted team in week 5. Sitting at 5-0.Team is still 4th in the league in QB starter points (behind McNabb, Daunte, and Manning). Very happy with the return on investment so far.

To update my QBBC results for the past two weeks I have to say I'm doing quite well and my late QB draft selections are paying off with big dividends.Week 4 I went with a hunch and took Delhomme > Carr ... it cost me 4 points overall but my team won quite easily 130 - 89 to move to 4 - 0 .... taking QB's late has given me depth I wouldn't normally have and allowed me the luxury of taking 2 quality TE in Shockey & Gates. Week 5 was a no brainer pick with the Vikings scoring machine matched up with the Texans .... Carr netted me 29 points vs Delhommes' 17 .... my QBBC has now moved into 5th place in my league for points by position .... not bad for 9th & 10th rounders!I'm looking to add Leftwich to my QBBC crew in this week's WW selections. This week my team squeeked out a 121 - 100 win to go to 5 - 0 .... I sat my Stud RB J.Lewis (16 pts) and Dunn (21 pts) in favour of C.Martin (19 pts) and Pittman (15 pts)This kind of RB depth wouldn't have been available to me without drafting a QBBC in the later rounds of the draft.

The other trick to QBBC is the players that you choose to be a part of it.

It seems we haven't heard much from the Plummer / QB-X or Garcia / QB-X committees in a while, because their second option has proven ineffective.

I started with

Garcia/Plummer/Gannon

which begat

Garcia/Plummer/Collins

which begat

Plummer/Collins (Garcia dropped for Droughns last week  )

Plummer has been the best play, but it's taken me 5 weeks to accept that.

I don't know that this is totally true. I mean I have Plummer and as well as he was playing, could still see the writing on the wall that Lefty would have to break out eventually. Facing the Colts was a perfect time for that. Its a QBBC for a reason. You have to go with different guys and split the playing time. What makes the QBBC though is knowing who to start and when, not necessarily who to draft, though that is vital as well. I have alway thought and still do think that making the right choices in season is what will make a QBBC succeed or fail every time. Once you become comfortable in who to start every week you have lost your QBBC IMO.

My QBBC is going strong and well into the the 6th week. I have Plummer,Lefty, and Big Ben and am currently sitting at 4-1 with the 3rd highest points so far. Coming into this season our commish rates the teams and predicted I would finish 5-8 this year cuz of my weak QBs and unproven WRs. Luckily I had better expectations than what my commish had for my team and since all 3 QBs for are playing decent, I'm looking to package one of em along with some of my decent depths at other positions to upgrade my team.

Wow, I have got some great matchups this week at QB. Plummer faces Oak (though on the road), Harrington gets GB at home, and Lefty gets KC at home. :excited: Boy oh boy, what to do? Lefty and Harrington are my clear front runners this week as I feel KC and GB have got to be palying some of the worst D in the NFL right now. It also seems that KC has gotten their O turned on finally, so Jack may need to put up some serious points to beat them. I think the Jags have a solid enough D to slow them down a bit, but how much is the question? GB on the other hand has been exposed on a weekley basis on D. I am afraid though that Det could jump on top of GB early and go to a more ball controled approach. I am going with Lefty for now but may change my mind tomarrow morning.

Well Lefty certainly did not let me down this week! He was the right choice for me yet again. Scored an eye popping 24.5 points vs. Plummer's 15 and Harrington's 6.5. Not only that, but he was the 2nd highest QB this week (only Cpep was better of the starters).Weekly breakdown thus far:Week 1: 4th best QB 15 pts (best possible choice)Week 2: 7th best QB 13.5 pts (could have had 14 pts out of Harrington, rather meaningless)Week 3: 6th best QB 18.5 pts (best possible choice)Week 4: 1st place QB 19.5 pts (best possible choice)Week 5: 3rd best QB 21 pts (best possible choice)Week 6: 2nd best QB 24.5 pts (best possible choice)This now catapults my QBBC into the #2 ranked starting QBs for the league. Only Cpep outscores my group on a weekly basis. Record has now improved to 4-2 as well.
