That depends, are you attracted to sexy men or sexy women? Is it weird that I'm more attracted to Reacher's boobs than to Roscoe's boobs? I mean, his are definitely bigger.

They didn't. Her name is Neagley in the books.Poke_4_Life said:Why did they change the character 'Neeley' from the books to 'Neagley' on the show? Seems an odd change.
Loved Roscoe and her little boobs.Like most, I enjoyed the series in part because of the cheesiness. But the absolute most hysterically cheesy line was "you have kind eyes." Roscoe's character might as well have been named "gratuitous sex scene partner."
I think I'm the one who must have mistakenly called her Neeley. Then I wondered if there was a Neeley in addition to Neagley...nope.They didn't. Her name is Neagley in the books.
IDK if there might be another character named "Neeley" in one of the books, but it ain't her.
The first Reacher movie will always have it's place in history. Rosamund Pike was pregnant during filming, and you couldn't tell except.. well....Loved Roscoe and her little boobs.
She was the highlight of the first movie, by far.The first Reacher movie will always have it's place in history. Rosamund Pike was pregnant during filming, and you couldn't tell except.. well....
Well, the number of sex scenes in the show is dramatically decreased from the book. They basically hump like rabbits in the novel.Like most, I enjoyed the series in part because of the cheesiness. But the absolute most hysterically cheesy line was "you have kind eyes." Roscoe's character might as well have been named "gratuitous sex scene partner."
They've re-aged him in the TV show to be about the same age (currently) as the character was when the books came out. So, for example, instead of getting wounded in the Beirut bombing of 1983, he's wounded in Afghanistan in, like, 2008, so they're off by 25 years. But, then again, the book was set in like 1997 and the TV show is present day, so they have cell phones and GPS, etc., another +25 years.Reacher was born in 1960. But the books bounce all over the place. I like the ones where he is back in the Army as an MP colonel. He takes relish in the fact he can piss off generals with his rank in the MP.
An interesting thing about reading the Reacher series is that Lee Child switches back and forth between first and third person book to book. Reacher first person is pretty humorous.
I remember that. I also remember him working as a bouncer in a Key West topless bar- crushing bad boys. After all, when Reacher needs money, he digs swimming pools, by hand...

So true. Heck, I knew “the guy” was still alive the whole time. This is not a crazy plot twist type of show.Spoliers.![]()
As if we don't all know exactly how this was going to turn out in the finale
You know I was really nervous that one guy was actually gonna kill ReacherSo true. Heck, I knew “the guy” was still alive the whole time. This is not a crazy plot twist type of show.
I thought it was funny that while the actual mechanics of the criminal conspiracy was pretty twisty, they pretty much flashed a gigantic THESE ARE THE BAD GUYS arrow by 10 minutes into episode 2.Spoliers.![]()

Oh, did you think he was actually bad? I guess I could see the show doing that as a surprise. I just figured he was afraid. You know I was really nervous that one guy was actually gonna kill Reacher
Well I'd consider Roscoe still a copI say spoil away!!
Mine...
The Mayor death was anticlimactic. Nice she got her revenge, but wanted him to get shot and either bleed out slowly, or bleed and burn to death. There was nice payback in watching the son burn, so there was that.
BTW.. Was the chief detective the only cop left alive in the town?? I was trying to remember if any other cop lived![]()
Oh sure. What I appreciated was that it was obvious the rich guy was behind the whole thing, but as soon as he was introduced, in the very next scene, Reacher says "That guy is totally the bad guy behind all this". They didn't insult us and drag it out, Reacher was onto him just as soon as the audience was.I thought it was funny that while the actual mechanics of the criminal conspiracy was pretty twisty, they pretty much flashed a gigantic THESE ARE THE BAD GUYS arrow by 10 minutes into episode 2.
Lol.... more like did you think the other fbi guy was in on it type stuff...You know I was really nervous that one guy was actually gonna kill Reacher

You sound almost as analytical as Reacher.Population 1200 - I am thinking Margrave does not have the capacity to process all the bodies. Also - dead Secret Service agent? How was that place not crawling with Feds immediately?
My favorite scene in the whole series has got to be Reacher snapping the guys legs in order to fit them in the trunk of the car.If you ever buy a car in Margrave - be sure to check the trunk for dead bodies.
I miss the laughing reaction emoji. My favorite scene in the whole series has got to be Reacher snapping the guys legs in order to fit them in the trunk of the car.
True.. She was fired, but since the chief is dead, and chief detective is in charge, I agree she can be counted.. So two.Well I'd consider Roscoe still a cop
Technically the chief detective was fired too, and I thought he was going back to Boston.True.. She was fired, but since the chief is dead, and chief detective is in charge, I agree she can be counted.. So two.![]()
I did not fully appreciate that Blind Blake was real - from from the early 1900s., and I kept hoping the barber was either going to be Blind Blake, or his son.

When he asked Reacher if he was feeling it, Reacher says no, so he turns up to 11I have to admit that the shtick of Reacher being a blues fan and the black guy being into 38 Special and Kansas worked every time for me.
The book covers a lot more of the Blind Blake story...one of a handful of differences.I did not fully appreciate that Blind Blake was real - from from the early 1900s., and I kept hoping the barber was either going to be Blind Blake, or his son.

She needed to say "You're terminated ****er!". Totally a missed opportunity.I say spoil away!!

I thought for sure she'd end him with his own pimped out walking stick. Nope, just shoot him through the eye.She needed to say "You're terminated ****er!". Totally a missed opportunity.
SHe should have walked out a la Kramer and the TEchnicolor dream coatI thought for sure she'd end him with his own pimped out walking stick. Nope, just shoot him through the eye.
Well, the town's punks all have a broken hand, so things should be quiet for a while ...until the neglected 116 cows break out and run through town.Technically the chief detective was fired too, and I thought he was going back to Boston.
I think Roscoe is out and running for Mayor, and the town currently has no police officers.
It was his nephew, and to be fair he did have a crowbar.Well, the town's punks all have a broken hand, so things should be quiet for a while ...until the neglected 116 cows break out and run through town.
Interesting how Reacher took down four true baddies in the prison bath/shower room, but gets taken to near-death in the pool by Kliner's son.

One thing I didn't like about the show was the lame inconsistency of him dispatching professional killers with efficient ease and then struggling with both the nephew and the psycho son for several minutes in hand to hand combat. Neither one of those ######s had any formal training yet they were able to get several big shots in on Reacher.Well, the town's punks all have a broken hand, so things should be quiet for a while ...until the neglected 116 cows break out and run through town.

Same here... it reminded me of "Roadhouse".. Swayze spends the entire movie kicking bad guys asses up and down the "Double #####" only to get in a drag out fight at the end with the little Mustang driving weasel...One thing I didn't like about the show was the lame inconsistency of him dispatching professional killers with efficient ease and then struggling with both the nephew and the psycho son for several minutes in hand to hand combat. Also Reacher's ability to recover while underwater from a baseball swing shot in the jaw with the crowbar was fairly laughable. He should have had a broken jaw and be missing several teeth after taking that shot.
As mentioned above, the nephew and TBH, that was the only fight that bothered me. The nephew was tiny as well. Crowbar should have been taken first swing and then the fight it over.Well, the town's punks all have a broken hand, so things should be quiet for a while ...until the neglected 116 cows break out and run through town.

As I watched the series I commented that Reacher seemed to get progressively worse at fighting as the episodes went on.As mentioned above, the nephew and TBH, that was the only fight that bothered me. The nephew was tiny as well. Crowbar should have been taken first swing and then the fight it over.
The psycho son fight didn’t really last long at all IIRC. It was only drawn out because he had the automatic weapon and Reacher ran out of ammo. Once Reacher got the gun loose it was over quick. The nephew part was just dumb. Would have been better to one of the Venezuelans been a stud and helped the nephew or just dispatch the nephew quick with a Leprechaun joke. One thing I didn't like about the show was the lame inconsistency of him dispatching professional killers with efficient ease and then struggling with both the nephew and the psycho son for several minutes in hand to hand combat. It’s not far fetched for him to have scoped it out and then decided to do that knowing he was inside the cell. How did Reacher know that they had Finlay back at the Station in a cell? or did he just get lucky as he went back the to get some weapons? Was also convenient that the cellphone and Baker were directly in line with his vehicle as he drove into the building.
