Also saw an article that the English FA is considering a cap of some kind
If you could elaborate on what you mean it'd be useful as I'm not getting it, but the FA don't have that much of a say on anything anyway. They don't run the leagues here, at least above level 5
I misspoke.

EPL.

Ah, I assume this is the "anchoring" suggestion which would affect nobody's ability to spend unless they wanted to spunk more money than the GDP of a small African country. Not actually clicked the link as the source is unreliable but if we are talking about the same then it'll do nothing really, as the teams that might breach it are likely in Europe and hitting this and not hitting the UEFA spending limits seem impossible at the same time

Just saw there may be a big MLS vote tomorrow. Hope this passes.

From the article -

The plan is for the MLS regular season to span from mid-to-late July or August to April, with playoffs staged in May. The league would take a winter break in December and January. Games would likely pause from around the second week in December through the first or third week in February. MLS understandably is trying to avoid restarting the league on Super Bowl weekend.

There would also be a summer break in June and July.

----

On the business side, a calendar change would move the league’s most valuable property, the playoffs, to a far more attractive window in the spring — both for in-person and television viewing. The playoffs would no longer be up against college and pro football, and, importantly, would not be disrupted anymore by a FIFA international window.
As a season ticket holder, I really hope this passes.
