Sutter must watch BB and just consider himself an utter failure.
I don't think he knows the difference.
See, now THAT is depressing.
A couple of years ago I watched a video of a panel discussion with the cast and Sutter. It might have been at ComiCon or something. I got the impression that he really thinks he's making a high-caliber show.
:lmao: epic that you were watching a comicon panel discussion.

Pretty sure it was a youtube clip that I stumb...hell...you're right. That does sound terrible.

He doesn't seem to take any sort of criticism well. And he's pissed that he never gets nominated for Emmys.

They did win best original theme song in 2009.
You guys have written better lyrics in this thread.
It's a rush to fast-forward through that one every time.

Jax is boning Tara, in perfunctory fashion

She wishes she was in prison, doin' some pie-smashin'

Toric goes to "The Goddess Bar", it all feels sad

Gives a whore his room number, oh what a cad!

*mandolin*

Only five more days, until Breaking Bad

I love how Bobby is the heart of the show despite nailing Otto's old lady. The only thing Otto had left. Wasn't life or death, your freedom at stake or being blackmailed. Bobby just screwed over a brother and the club over lust. Was one of the more disrespectful things on the show yet Bobby gets a pass.

The 90 minute episodes are not good. For the second week in a row I looked up at five after ten and thought "it isn't done yet?"

I fell asleep. And usually if I fall asleep during a show I'll start it back up where I fell asleep before going to bed. Not last night.

He cannot. seriously. think that.

Have you seen how pissy and defensive he gets regarding criticism of SOA?

No, but I would very much like to.

It reminds me of that one guy we all had in class back in college/jr college. Stoner/neo-hippy/faux-philosopher dude that always had to debate with the professor no matter how wrong he was. Cross that dude with rookie-year Ryan Leaf in the locker room and you've got Sutter when sombody criticizes SOA.

does this show still suck or has it gotten better? Still a guilty pleasure of mine but only have time for Heisenberg and sport.

Well, I am more easily entertained than most. Last week's episode was satisfactory to me. But for all this pissing and moaning you're hearing over last night's episode... I have to agree... It was subpar. But where else can you go to see someone get shot up with heroin and then smothered with a pillow?

I honestly believe Sutter is trying to make a trainwreck show. An 8th-grader could write a better script.
Give him a break. He wrote this episode after getting plowed in the ###. That has to screw up your thinking just a little. I am sure in a few more episodes it will be back to normal.

Finally watched the latest episode last night. :lmao: At Bobby riding into Las Vegas. Some crappy sign in the middle of nowhere that says "WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS/CLARK COUNTY". That would be like driving down a dirt road in the middle of the woods and seeing a sign that says "Welcome to New York City".

Bobby can't keep a mental tally of...3. Gotta write down the list of names on the map.

:lmao: My kid, who semi-sorta watches SoA, came in during that scene. He asked "what is he now? A map-maker?" Then he asked me why he was writing down names on the map. I explained it to him. A minute later he said "He's making a list for 3 f-ing names?"

Sutter addresses the controversial events in the season opener...

"Sons of Anarchy" has never shied away from depicting grisly acts of violence, but critics who have already seen the scene -- which depicts a school shooting perpetrated by a young boy -- described it as particularly disturbing. The Daily Beast contributor Jason Lynch tweeted, "Even by 'Sons Of Anarchy' standards, [this] isn't going to sit well with a lot of people."

Sutter discussed and defended the likely-to-be-controversial scene, describing it as a "catalyst for the third act of this morality play we're doing," according to TV Guide.
:lmao: See?
