Would be absolutely ecstatic if they landed him on top of what they've already taken.Greg Childs in the 5th please. TIA.

Somebody in this draft is going to get a steal with Bobby Rainey. That kid is a football player.Would love to get Polk in the 5th. Don't care if he looks soft like butter without a shirt, guy can ball.If they wanted to wait on RB and take a Rainey, I hope it's Bobby and not Chris. Chris is a lesser version of Dexter McCluster. No thankee.Chris Polk still out there if they're looking for a potential eventual starter at RB. Cyrus Gray not a bad player either. Chris rainey if they want an explosive change-of-pace guy for third downs. Can't block to save his life, though.
And there goes Crick to Houston. Damn. That kid's going to be a player for the Texans, great pick.
Hearing health issues, in particular his knee. Not sure if its arthritic, degenerative or just from his over use in college.Would love to get Polk in the 5th. Haha, the Vikings took BOTH of the Arkansas WRs, in the 4th. Crazy.Would be absolutely ecstatic if they landed him on top of what they've already taken.Greg Childs in the 5th please. TIA.
They won't take him anyway, he can't block a lick. I watched Chris play a lot in HS (as you may have too, being in FL) - he has sick change of direction skills. He's probably the most elusive back in the draft, LaMichael James included. He's strictly a situational player, though. Might even be better converted to a slot receiver.Would love to get Polk in the 5th. guess the alameda ta'amu pick in the fourth puts an abrupt end to this line of this thinking.Hood and Heyward are both best as 3-4 DE's. Maybe they do switch when Lebeau retires. I am hoping that is years off though.'pecorino said:anyone else get the sneaking suspicion that tomlin/lebeau are transitioning to a 4-3 possibly as early as 2013? for the past few years we've been clamoring for a NT to groom to take Hampton's spot and instead we draft Ziggy Hood and Heyward who, to me, both seem suited to the 4-3 switch and now with the Spence pick, it got me thinking again that a phase-out of the 3-4 may be on the horizon.
I wasnt big on Iloka initially... but that was a 2nd/3rd rounder as projected. As a 5th? All day long on a 6'3" 225# safety, 4 year starter and captain of a BCS team. What about George Iloka from Boise State as the next pick for the Steelers?

Rainey was considerably faster in every above measurable and weighs 10 more pounds while being an inch shorter then Dexter.Chris is a lesser version of Dexter McCluster.
He also ran poorly at the combine and posted a 4.33 at his Pro Day. He's possibly the fastest player in the entire draft. Just a question of where to use him now - returns, as a slot receiver, in 5-wide sets, etc..Todd Haley strikes. A true scat out of the backfield.
#1 3-cone drill in the entire draft, and it wasnt close.
#2 (tied) in the 40 yard dash at RB.
#1 at 20 yard shuttle at RB (2nd overall).

I really liked how he addressed the Wallace situation.Tomlin on ESPN right now
Schefter was talking about Rainey living with the pounceys during high school.Tomlin on ESPN right now
Damn, Rams with first pick of the 6th.I really want us to take a kicker with one of our four 7th rounders. Greg Zuerlein has a massive leg, and hit 95% at Div II.and kickers the rest of the way and it would still be a great draft.
2 things I just learned on twitter.
Raines older bro is he hate me
Raines said he is faster than Wallace.
Here we go
Rainey, just FTR.Like the speed of Raines and the accountability requirements that he dictates to defenses when on the field.
Thanks...good catch....the mistaken use of Raines seems to be catching on.2 things I just learned on twitter.

We'll since everyone keeps calling him Raines... how about we adopt him the nickname "Rock".Raines.

Got me thinking of the MLB Pittsburgh Drug Trials of the 80's with that blast from the past.ETA link for trip down memory lane. We'll since everyone keeps calling him Raines... how about we adopt him the nickname "Rock".Raines.![]()
We're already drafting a bunch of idiots, and this guy is still available in the late 6th. Pull the trigger.I really hope the Steelers take a long look at Alfonzo Dennard is he drops to their 4th rounder. The "character issues" that made him drop are completely overblown. Kid was dumb to punch a cop right before the draft (that's an understatement), but he went his entire career at Nebraska without any issues and was a trendy 1st round projection at the start of the year.
I'm a bit stunned he's still available. He's better, as a player, than Prince Amukamara was. He can play excellent press coverage, has good ball skills, great agility, and is very good against the run for a corner. The Steelers could easily draft their #2 CB right now in this guy. We're already drafting a bunch of idiots, and this guy is still available in the late 6th. This is a stretch. He was a 3rd-4th round prospect. Plus punching a cop is a pretty serious character issue. I am with Matt Taibbi. Had a feeling that was going to happenPats just took him.
Really couldn't find info?http://www.nfl.com/draft/2012/profiles/toney-clemons?id=2532812Tony Clemons, WR Colorado. Can't find any info about him.
I'm just going to go ahead and assume he's a stud that dropped because the Buffs suck.Tony Clemons, WR Colorado. Can't find any info about him.
As a guy who watched every game that both Prince and Dennard played in and is also a draftnick and college recruiting nerd, I stick with my assessment that Dennard is better. I don't need others to tell me who I like better. This is a stretch. He was a 3rd-4th round prospect. Plus punching a cop is a pretty serious character issue. I am with Matt Taibbi. Also a Western PA kid from Valley High.OVERVIEW
Clemons was a reliable starter after transferring from Michigan. He is a huge and athletic receiver in the mold of Anquan Boldin. He has the same body type and strong base, and can go across the middle, using his core strength to break arm tackles and get upfield. Clemons has some value as a returner but would be merely serviceable in that role as a pro. Clemons has sixth-round value based on his potential to become a solid NFL pass-catcher.
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS
Clemons is polished as a runner, able to get into a cornerback's cushion off the line. He can break tackles after the catch and is productive at running drive routes across the field. He can catch a quick slant, break a tackle on a smaller corner, then look to run over a safety. He has the speed to be a deceptive deep threat and knows how to work underneath and sit down against zone coverage.
WEAKNESSES
Clemons has had issues dropping the ball. He is confident, but struggles to catch the ball with his hands and bring it into his frame. He is a physical blocker but can be too aggressive and a liability there at times.

Here’s a suggestion for the Steelers on the fifth round: Wide receiver Toney Clemons of Colorado. He’s big at 6-1, 210 and extremely fast, although he does not seem to be rated this high.
He went to Valley High School, near Pittsburgh.
He also could be a great return man and while the Steelers have one in Antonio Brown, they likely won’t want to use him on kickoffs AND punts because he will start at wide receiver in 2012.
Some may think the fifth round, though, is a little high for Clemons, who could still be available in the seventh round.
Don't love this pick, but who cares at this point.OVERVIEW
Paulson has been a reliable pass-catching tight end for Oregon. He struggles to get open, but he makes plays when the ball is thrown. He has been a consistent and durable starter who has always been capable of keeping the chains moving within the offense. He can make the spectacular catch and has sixth-round talent.
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS
Paulson is athletic, although he doesn't look the part. He is quick to get into his route and understands to how to play to his strengths. He knows how to lean on linebackers or throw a last-second jab at them to get space. He is decent as a blocker to wall off his defender, something he was asked to do a lot in Oregon's offense.
WEAKNESSES
Paulson will find it difficult to get open at the next level going up against more athletic linebackers. He is a slow mover who struggles to change direction quickly, which could be dangerous as it will allow linebackers and safeties to recover or undercut his routes.
Talking heads on ESPN characterized him as a guy who "sucks the life from your team". Who needs that? Why not take a shot at Burfict? It's the 7th round, for Pete's sake.
