Link?So I did find a stream but it's Philly announcers. Funny to hear them say "that was disappointing" with each good steeler play.
Knee & done for the nightAdams hurt?
Except the problem for Adams is he's slow. He got beaten routinely by speed rushers in college. As an OSU fan, it was frustrating to watch Adams just stand there while a guy beat him on the edge again and again.People shouldn't overreact to Adams being burnt. I think it was kind of well discussed that he would probably struggle early on.

Be very careful with that site. Indeed, be careful what you click on, but I've been using that site for more than a year for streaming Timberwolves games without any issue.Be very careful with that site. looked good but had some great blocking on his big run. He did leave with some type of shoulder injHow did Dwyer look? I saw his stat line but want to know how those runs went and who they were against?
Ok thanks for the heads up.looked good but had some great blocking on his big run. He did leave with some type of shoulder injHow did Dwyer look? I saw his stat line but want to know how those runs went and who they were against?
i had not heard that but it is consistent with mike tonlin's postgame presser when he categorized the injury as "serious." not much fantasy repurcussions but i feel this is a significant loss for the offense on the field. bummer for johnson.David Johnson torn acl via @EdBoucette
Yeah because he was their best option at FB (beast in blocking drills) and they were going to continue to use him as a TE as well. So now they might have to fill his spot with 2 people. Lose a spot for another position. Maybe they could do the same thing with Will Johnson since he is a converted WR converted to TE converted to FB.'pecorino said:i had not heard that but it is consistent with mike tonlin's postgame presser when he categorized the injury as "serious." not much fantasy repurcussions but i feel this is a significant loss for the offense on the field. bummer for johnson.'HellToupee said:David Johnson torn acl via @EdBoucette
Brandon looked good from what I saw. Wasn't impressed with him at practice in 11 on 11 or 7 on 7 or backers vs te/backs but you could see his speed was there in drills like getting around the edge (dummy) to the qb (towel), and like one of the radio guys said earlier some guys aren't practice types, they show up in games.Fell asleep in the second half.'Kenny Powers said:Only watched the 1st half now, I'll probably watch the 2nd half tomorrow, but what stuck out to me was...Impressive:Rainey - clearly they trust this kid already. He looked pretty damn good on returns I thought as well.Dwyer - definitely had room on the big run, but he is undoubtedly in the best shape he's been since we picked him, and looked quicker than everMcLendon - not surprised by what he did tonight, but his play after play consistency was very niceBrandon Johnson - thought he looked great, impressed/surprised me more than anyone on D. was all over the field, making sideline tackles, deflecting balls, and pressuring the QB almost every play. His QB pressure was directly responsible for the Woods INT.Chris Carter - was consistently getting pressures and forcing the QB to move up in the pocketBad:Adams - he got burnt frequently, not good although somewhat expected, but I wont be too hard on him because at least 1 sack and another pressure weren't his fault because of breakdowns elswhere on the line and the QB having to move up in the pocket, etc.Really cant think of anything besides the DJ injury and Adams that stood out as a negative to me...maybe Haley a little too cautious/cute with the pass calling on the first drive?? I love the quick plays and RB passes, but Id like to see a more even mix with that and 10+ yard passes. DJ getting hurt sucks, but I dont expect it to be something that holds this offense back.
Lack of sleep caught up with me. Recording the NFLN replay later.I personally thought he looked very good. Held his own in pass pro, did a great job of pulling and sealing on some runs. Pretty impressive for a rookie.Any thoughts on DeCastro?
http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/sports/steelers/three-offensive-players-leave-early-because-of-injuries-in-loss-648449/#ixzz23AqbFiLxThere was somewhat better news about rookie offensive tackle Mike Adams, who also left in the first quarter with a right knee injury, and backup running back Jonathan Dwyer. Adams does not have a severe injury, and Dwyer has an AC sprain.
Steelers holdout Mike Wallace is staying in shape with speed and performance guru Tom Shaw in Orlando."He's fast as lightning right now," Shaw insisted. "He’s not going to put himself in a bad situation (conditioning-wise) so that he couldn’t play in the first game." Shaw says Wallace has stayed silent throughout his holdout "because he gets mad when people write things that are totally false. He doesn’t want a $100 million contract, a $50 million contract. He’s never told anybody that. He knows the Steelers aren’t talking, and he’s not talking." Aug 10 - 4:11 PM
Add to the bad:Curtis Brown. He got fooled bad on the double move td then gave up another when he was beat deep and never got his head around.ETA: And Gilbert. Hopefully the RT spot doesn't become a concern as well.Brandon looked good from what I saw. Interesting...no way in hell if they start anyone over DeCastro its another rookie though. Certainly helps depth wise.@jimwexell: For the growing number of fans interested in Steelers rookie G Ryan Lee, all I know is he looks meaner and badder than DeCastro. Hard to do
Our D plays so *** damn vanilla that Im not sure if "test" is the right word. They really do "test" our guys in some of the worst situations possible. When the real games start, everything changes for the better for almost all of them. Will be a good test (short as it may be) for the D.
Yes very base D, not showing much, but I'm interested in seeing how the young db's do against a team that appears to be throwing the ball well. Our D plays so *** damn vanilla that Im not sure if "test" is the right word. They really do "test" our guys in some of the worst situations possible. When the real games start, everything changes for the better for almost all of them. Will be a good test (short as it may be) for the D.
was at training camp today. no great insights but i will concur that ben is looking good. i am becoming a fan of both derrick williams and marquis maze. i am thinking one of these guys could end up the #5 WR while the other could make the practice squad. antonio brown looks fast as ever and pretty much caught everything thrown his way.
It's sounding pretty certain that Wallace will be back by the end of the month, before the 1st game. So 4 wr spots are done. The thinking (maybe just mine) is that Williams will get the #5 spot. Then it's down to who makes the practice squad. Clemons or Beiler probably get a spot. Maze could be odd man out unless he can show something in a game.

Why they waited this long is a mystery.
eta: oops, scooped by the Brother
Steelers OLB James Harrison underwent arthroscopic surgery on his troublesome knee Wednesday morning.
He's going to miss regular season action, and may even open the year on PUP, which would cost Harrison the first six games
Hopefully it's nothing but supposedly Redman is going for an MRI on his groin.

LaMarr Woodley donates $60,000 to cover school budget cutsPosted by Michael David Smith on August 16, 2012, 10:54 AM EDTLaMarr Woodley APA Michigan school district will not have to go through with plans to make students pay to play sports after Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley stepped in to help.As a result of budget cuts, Saginaw Public Schools implemented a fee of $75 this year for students wanting to play sports. When Woodley, a 2003 Saginaw High School graduate, heard about that, he contacted the school district, asked how much money those fees would collect, and then told them to scrap the fees because he’d cover the $60,000 himself.Woodley has declined to draw any attention to himself for his donation, but the school’s athletic director, Dan Szatowski, told the Saginaw News that hundreds of kids are going to benefit from Woodley’s generosity.“If you know him, you know he’s not doing it to see his name in the paper,” Szatkowski said. “He’s beyond that. What a great message this sends to the kids, to the families, to the other people in the city and even the state. It’s a tough time, but here’s a professional player who gets it. This is a big deal. He’s providing the means for kids to participate. What’s the price you can put on that? What price do you put on an experience? LaMarr Woodley is providing for that experience.”During an offseason when far too many NFL players were in the news for drunk driving or domestic violence, Woodley is the kind of player NFL fans should celebrate.
