Weatherboy Weather
The Super Bowl is within the range of extended forecast guidance. While it's too early to track precipitation events, it isn't too early to forecast temperature trends. At this time, we are calling for a kick-off temperature of 18 ...which would make it the coldest Super Bowl ever.

18 degrees, wow ridiculous.

Neutral field, ideal as possible conditions, both teams playing their best on a neutral site, that's how you see who's the best.

nj.com/weather shows mid 30's, snow showers..

if we get something like the Winter Classic, with snow falling during the game, get used to seeing outdoor cold weather Super Bowls...notice how no one has complained about this month's Winter Classic? because the fans love it.as a NJ resident working just outside of Metlife Stadium, I'm hoping for adverse weather - means tickets to the game will be a lot cheaper, and I can scalp off of Rt 3 that Morning!

I totally agree. The more "weather" the better. The Winter Classic, with that snowfall, was a terrific sports event to watch. The snow game between The Eagles and Lions this year was awesome viewing. The NFL is as much entertainment as sport, adding the element of "weather" is a plus. Only the fans of the losing team MIGHT use bad weather as an excuse.the other gazillion people who watch will love it. Heck, who wouldn't want to see Bruno Mars and The Red Hot Chili Peppers doing a concert in a snowstorm! One of the best Super Bowl halftime shows in recent memory was Prince performing in the rain in Miami. Bring on a good old fashioned northeast winter snowstorm!

All playoff games should be held at neutral sites, indoors, to ensure that the two best teams actually make it to the Super Bowl in the first place.

While we're at it, all football games should be held at neutral sites, indoors, to ensure that the twelve best teams actually make it to the playoffs.

And that's how Puerto Rico became the 51st state in the union, son.

No, it's the other way around. We all know home teams have home stadiums with differing conditions and it's ok during the regular season that some teams have advantages at home, so why not just let the NFL Championship be decided at the home stadium of the team with the best record if that's how you feel?
