That's a good bet if you got even money or better.  Something about Jacobs tho...
Way shorter! -225. It's out past -300 everywhere now. I think Jacobs might have his moments, but I think everyone at 168 and below on the planet is almost drawing dead against him, barring a freak injury.

I think Brook was a tougher matchup, as he had the technical skill to win rounds off of GGG. You can envision him staying on the outside and picking his spots and getting a close decision, might've been interesting if he didn't break his orbital. I just don't see the same path to victory for Jacobs. TKO in 6.

This makes perfect sense to me from Jacobs' point of view (as did such an early weigh-in the day before fight night) and is worth giving up the chance at the IBF title (and having to pay their sanctioning fees).  IMO, Jacobs' best chance is not to run but to trade and be the first to land significantly.  While I haven't seen weaknesses in GGG's chin/body, I haven't seen GGG take much punishment either.  The heavier weight should, in theory, amplify Jacobs' power while increasing his ability to absorb punishment.  Not to a great degree but every little bit helps.  Jacobs is giving himself the absolute best chance of winning.

Also Gamboa can hang it up too. He's had about the most disappointing career of any fighter in recent memory.
I mean, I think he had a ton of potential/expectations 5+ years ago that he didnt reach, but looking at his resume it's almost like he wasn't active enough or fought enough name fighters. He's been almost non-existent since losing to Crawford (still his only loss). I was shocked watching the fight last week when they said he's 35, I thought he was still under 30! Besides age, why should he hang it up?

You are right that inactivity has been a problem for him. The main reason I think Gamboa should retire is that it's clear he's not in the realm of the great fighters anymore, he's 35, his chin is #### and when at his best, he's totally careless about protecting himself. It's a bad combination for his long term health imo.

Yeah, I mean at this point, highly unlikely he ever has a chance at a belt again so for long term health, certainly. Gotta get that paper though while you can.

So excited for this main event tonight, maybe at least anticipation wise my FOTY. Been a big fan of Jacobs ever since first seeing him on I believe Friday Night Fights and really impressing me. Killer combinations, and seems like he has more power now than he did 9 or so years ago when first seeing. Expecting GGG to win tonight, but totally rooting for Jacobs, and a great fight either way. If Jacobs were able to knock off GGGoliath like this, considering his bone cancer story, that's some #### that's made for the movies.

Im surprised GGG is as big of a favorite as he is honestly, just looked and -900. That's a huge margin in a fight like this.

Yeah I don't know what his financial situation is so can't really speak to that, but he's definitely improved his life from where he started in Cuba.

Bull #### ....Jacobs controlled almost the whole fight, the fact that it wasnt even a split decision is a joke. I dont care want compubox says
