Haven't seen Joshua fight but he's a decent sized favorite which is surprising to me, already have the DVR fired up :boxing:
I will be watching live on Show. I'm surprised Joshua is a big favorite, but he's definitely a special blend of size, speed and technique. He isn't a 1 punch KO guy though.

The Klitschko/Joshua one is tough. But the one thing I can't get out of my mind is that VK is going to have a helluva time winning on the cards, given how nuts that crowd is going to be. Or just to overcome any chicanery that might occur. I can't pick against Joshua here, thin as his resume is to-date.

Canelo/Chavez I see more clearly, I will very likely be betting on Canelo via decision. Think Chavez is tough enough to outlast Canelo, and certainly big enough to give him some pause, but I think Canelo fights fairly carefully and wins a fairly wide UD.
I do worry a bit that Joshua has never encountered anyone close to VK. VK can use that length and jab to totally baffle fighters. VK could suck the life out of the crowd, make it a jab fest and win the cards by making it a slow methodical distance fight. Joshua isn't like Fury in that he won't grapple, butt, elbow and play dirty. Also, Joshua has never been tested by a guy with the kind of power VK brings to the table. I don't think Joshua has great one punch power, but VK does have some chin concerns. It's a fascinating fight all around.

As for Canelo-Chavez. Canelo is going to be the everloving #### out of him.

OUTSTANDING fight!  Best heavyweight title fight since the Holyfield-Bowe trilogy, probably even better than those.  No way a rematch can measure up but still want to see it.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a heavyweight title fight this much. Wow, what a war. Joshua just answered all the questions. Klitschko showing tremendous heart at 41. Great stuff.

i know vlad has a rematch clause.  But i dont think i want to see it.  I think he should retire.  Its time.  I do think Vlad wins on the cards if it went the distance.   But i think he knows its time to move on.  AJ showed heart but he looked DEAD in the middle rounds and i was sure he wouldnt last.   He showed me though.

Vlad was a ####### horse to get up in the 11th twice. What a monster. What a fight. Joshua's not at his peak yet imo, but he can erase your life-meter in seconds.

I was all excited to watch this great fight you guys are talking about...

I don't see how you guys can watch that ####. When super-Heavyweights started showing up it ruined heavyweight boxing for me.  Those dudes just pack too much power for "normal"  heavyweights but after three rounds they're completely gassed. Even the early rounds are just two    plodding behemoths slowly pawing at each other looking to throw one big shot in slow motion.

Awful.

If you didn't enjoy that fight, you might as well just stop watching heavyweight boxing altogether.

I'm very unhappy to say I have. I only watched this one after reading the comments this afternoon. It was like watching two buses in a demolition derby.

I take zero joy in my position. I REALLY miss boxing.

You want to see a boxing match at the highest levels between two boxers with great technical skill and impressive power, seek out the Kell Brook vs Errol Spence match at the end of May.  Not heavyweights so no problem for you there.

Chocolatito/Cuadras was a great fight, and both fighters were noticeably wiped out towards the end.

Joshua can be hurt, for sure. And after this fight I think Hearn might try to steer AJ away from anyone who has massive power. But keep in mind that Joshua hasn't had his 20th fight yet. He's in against a HOF fighter on a massive stage before he's hit 100 pro rounds. He was lucky to get out tonight, but he also still has a lot of upside.

Any chance at all that Chavez Jr makes it to decision?

I just give him no chance at winning this...I'm offended it's even a thing.

But I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised...after the fact...I'll be damned if I pay for this farce.

I may stream it or end up at a casino/bar to watch.

It is interesting to me because I thought Vlad didn't know where he was when he got up and that the fight should have been stopped, but when the ref actually did step in, I thought he was dodging and defending and recovered and should have continued.

I'm probably going to be betting Canelo decision depending on the price. Canelo's in against the bigger opponent for once, he's a fairly cautious fighter, and Chavez's chin is pretty good.

I think it'll be a wide, undisputed UD, possibly with Chavez getting knocked down. It's less of a farce than Smith or Khan, I think.

ETA: Odds that the fight goes the distance are +130 on 5D.

I'm hesitantly picking Canelo UD.  My hesitation is not with Canelo but whether it goes the distance.  But Chavez is naturally bigger, taller with longer reach.  Plus he has shown he can take a punch.  And while much has been made of him quitting before but realize there are more than one way to quit.  Duran gave up vs Leonard in their 3rd fight halfway through but it still went the distance.  Chavez may at some point become content to go the distance.

Id love for Chavez to beat up Canelo.  But i see it going the distance and i cant see Chavez out boxing Canelo so Canelo UD.

Chavez Jr has ridden on the name long enough...

Canelo had his humbling due to Mayweather and now full-time ducking GGG.

This will be close early...but then Canelo will find him.  If Chavez engages...look for late KO by Canelo..  If not...UD Canelo.

I don't see Chavez winning this in any fashion but a rigged decision.

Yea thats my problem with this fight.  I was pissed when they made it..... but now im intrigued.  damn them.

HBO crew saying the ref should've stopped the fight.  I dunno, Reyes was taking a beating but he was still competitive.  He was still defending himself, he wasn't in immediate extreme danger, didn't go down, wasn't out on his feet.  Obviously you hope he doesn't suffer long-term damage from this, but I don't think that's the ref's call to make.  IMO, that's his corner's call and the doctor's call if they want to stop the fight.

ETA - I don't disagree with Pinky's comment, we cross-posted this
