Spence/Peterson this weekend, bro-hams.
I'm ready.  First (somewhat) big fight of the year, and Spence is one of my new faves.  While most are touting Loma as the next big thing, Errol will be my pick to top the P4P lists before long.  Peterson is definitely a live dog tho; glad they made him shave, as his thick beard was likely muting his opponent's punches to the chin.

Spence is going to blow his head off
At best, I think he can frustrate Spence and turn this into a stinker, although I don't think he can realistically win. At worst, he dies in the ring.

But, props to him for taking the fight. Errol complained this week about not being able to get a hold of some of the other PBC welterweights.

Spence -4000

Peterson +1500

I'm going to have to download this Sunday morning over some eggs and bacon so if anyone has a link for day after, bless you.

Potentially.  I think we get Thurman/Spence in the Fall of 2018.

Crawford will (likely) fight Horn in the Spring of 2018.
Spence is really agitating for Thurman, and said he's ok with Thurman taking a comeback fight, but thought they should meet in late 2018. Which is good, because I don't think it can be left to Al to make big fights, he seems to be happy to keep fighters protected and leave his best guys under wraps. I mean, the whole Eleider Alvarez/Adonis Stevenson situation has reached farcical proportions.

Horn looks like he's lined up to come over and give up his belt to Crawford in April. After that it's tough to see who he can fight, given that PBC has so many of the top welters locked up. A Crawford/Spence fight would be incredible, but it'd require bridging the Top Rank/PBC gap. The PBC fed John Molina to Crawford, but it's hard to see them pairing up for a big fight.

Nice, is that on TV? HBO has some good fights tonight. I doubt Matthysse has much left but I always enjoy his fights. Linares-Geista should be fun.
Yup at +550 Kiram seems worth a little wager. Just peeking in here to see if anyone concurs. Foot and Leather putting on a great show right now.

Seems like a reasonable bet- cards will favor Liucas if it's close, but I am not sure he has more than 8 rounds left in him.

I am doubtful but maybe The Machine can impress and prove worthy of one last big fight....maybe
Dreadful card. Matthysse looked like dog####, and it's pretty clear Kiram took a  dive. Linares fight against Gesta was wholly uninteresting. No clue why HBO wouldn't put Usyk on instead of this nonsense.

Only silver lining is that it looks likes Lomachenko-Linares has a good chance of being made next at 135.

Did I go back in time somehow? On TV tonight I can see Devon Alexander vs Victor Ortiz and Brandon Rios vs Danny Garcia?  This would have been a hell of a night of boxing in 2012.

Don’t expect anything surprising in the Garcia/Rios fight but can’t ever discount the Garcia connection.

The Mikey Garcia connection.

Gavril's corner was utterly negligent. No reason to let your guy get fried that bad.

Crap Golden Boy card tonight, but Superfly 2 on Saturday. They're mixing in some 112's this time around, but I'm good with it. Rungvasai vs. Estrada is prob gonna be one of the best matchups of the year.
