Sheldon: Why are you crying?

Penny: Because I’m stupid.

Sheldon: That’s no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid and it makes me sad.

Sheldon may be my favorite character on TV right now.

Great episode last night.

Howard was on last night well...and Id love to see his little girlfriend get a bit dirty.

Stellar episode. Sheldon's lines are usually the best of any character on TV but last night he was edged out by Dwight on the Office.

Jim: "In an ideal world... "

Dwight: "In an ideal world I'd have all 1 fingers on one hand so the other could just be a fist for punching"

The delivery was just epic.... I literally :goodposting:

Awesome episode! :link: We are still catching up, have maybe 1/2 of season 2 we are watching.

I loved this show when it started, loved season 2, but I have been pretty lukewarm for most of season 3. The first few episodes were terrible but they have been getting a little better.

Sheldon, Howard, and Raj are the show...love Penny for the eye candy, at least I think she's smokin but Leonard just doesn't do much for me. This actor was pretty meh on Roseanne too, someone has to play the straight guy but there are lots of better actors for this.

I would like to see this crew enter a amajor science project of some type, would be hillarious I think. Also they need more characters form that college where they work/teach/gather research. Maybe a guest a little more often although Lewis Black was a borderline disaster.

Sheldon could have his own show, his lines are classic, certainly worthy of not just a nomination but a win at this point. Great character, the actor in interviews is absolutely nothing like the character.

Show is GOLD.

Bernadette is pretty hot too.
Just looked her up on IMDB...Melissa Rauch

She was actually Tina, Kim's friend on Kath and Kim (now cancelled, horrible). I had no clue.

I agree though, quite hot in a girl next door with a nice rack sort of way.
While the US version was toilet, the original Australian Kath and Kim was awesome. One of my favorite sitcoms from any country. Note: I'm not one of those The Office fans that thinks the UK version is superior to the US series.

You have repeated this more than a few times, I believe in this thread only, yet the internet, interviews with him all connect him to being a normal straight guy. Unless he turned you down in a bar sometime or you have other, more intimate, knowledge of his sexuality, I find your assertions to be quite funny. At this juncture in time, I am going to go with the assumption that he turned you down at one time thus you are bitter towards him and want to spread rumors about him everywhere you go.

I don't think he was saying what you think he was saying in that quote. I don't see any reference to Johnny Galecki's sexuality there.

MoP has implied at other times that Galecki is gay. He might be and maybe MoP has intimate knowledge of such things but no interview has ever confirmed it nor has Galecki confirmed it either. So, maybe MoP has first hand knowledge that can confirm it.

At the end when Penny is laying down the science talk to Leonard and the room, when Penny is done with her first rant, Sheldon sits straight up in an "oh snap" kind of gesture to Leonard and the room. That motion at that time has me rolling. Sheldon is gold.

you're not familiar with the term "straight man" in the context of comedy?also, MoP didn't "imply" anything. he called the guy a screaming queen.

Casting director at a major studio told me he's a screaming queen, what else do you want? I do have the inside info, but he seems pretty transparent, nothing straight about him, kinda worries me that you don't see it. Actually, who cares but it bugs me when I know an actor is gay and trying to play straight, it's uncomfortable and he looks very ununatural trying to get in penny's pants all the time. Edited to add: He is playing a straight guy, also meaning the guy that isn't funny or not as funny as the rest...and he moans and groans a lot thru his lines, very whiny.

And while we are on the subject of screaming queens...I do enjoy Neil Patrick Harris in a lot of his roles, has some great lines on How I Met Your Mother...I tried to watch this show because I thought the writing was good but now its all about NPH and his problems with the wimmens...I lose interest and have stopped watching the show even though wifey still seems to want to watch.

Let me take the focus off the "gay thing" for a bit...Leonard getting the girl is kinda like the greyhound that actually catches the rabbit...once that happens they are ruined as dog racers form what I'm told. Same thing here, now that he has gotten with Penny what is the point? It was better when she was dating big dumb jocks and Leonard was the pillow she cry on.

I don't see where the show is going to have legs. I would almost cheer if they broke up but that also makes the show kinda awkward. They wento for the hook up too fast. Maybe the guys need to move on to another school or they all start some kind of "Science" industry company, perhaps a new drug patent which could be funny depending on what it does.

Sheldon is the straw that stirs the drink and Howard plus Raj are funny as well, but the show really slows down when we get to Leonard/Penny moments.

i think we're in the early to middle stages of a multi-year arc that ends up with Penny and Sheldon hooking up.

An average show tonight but Sheldon stole the show again. Pure gold.
Sheldon pwned. Probably my favorite performance by him in a while. Some may laugh but I think he's up there with Tony Soprano, Don Draper, and Omar in terms of great TV characters.

Funniest comedy on TV. If Jim Parsons doesn't win an Emmy at some point, it's a travesty. And even the B plot with the double date had some good one-liners last night. And Danica McKellar was an obvious choice for a guest star, since she actually has a match degree from UCLA and has her name on a theorem.

I'm admittedly a latecomer to this, but when did Raj figure out how to talk to women?
When alcohol is involved.
Okay, that was my guess, but he had like a sip at the party and that's all it takes?
Before he had to be wasted (when he talked to Penny) but now it seems he is either drunk off a sip or he needs less to do more. We didn't see how much he had in the apartment but in order to score with Winnie, I would say he was three sheets to the wind.

I thought the episode overall was kind of lame. The only redeeming qualities were the ball bit and Wolowitz and Kuthrapali roller skating in their hot 70's outfits.

I don't watch the show when it airs as I download them and watch them the following day. But, I am disappointed lately but not sure who I need to be disappointed at. Why, you ask? Downloaded shows like The Office and the Bang Theories before this season have all rounded out to ~21 minutes give or take :30 seconds either way. Last nights show barely hit 19:00 minutes and a few have gone over 19:00 minutes a few times. Few have hit 20:00+. It must be horrible watching the show when it airs because of all the commercials. This trend in tv sucks.

First, I want to find and buy Sheldon's suit and wear that pattern out somewhere.

Second, Penny in a business suit is awesome.

Third, Sheldon having two restraining orders in his collection is

Sheldon telling the largish con that he was in Sheldon's seat had me rolling.

The fact that Sheldon actually had that seat next time we saw him just shows what a pimp he really is.

Sheldon's analogy for his group compared to Xavier's Xmen represents a new high. [trying not to add spoiler].
