You have a rectangular shaped cake. One rectangular shaped piece is already taken from the cake. You can only make one cut with a knife and have to ensure the cake is cut into equal pieces. Where do you make the cut and how do you ensure the pieces are equal?
You cut the rectangular piece in half? I assume that's what you are looking for. If its not that then I will say its not a straight cut on the remaining part. It would be an L cut. The question could go either way IMO.

How would you go from gifted to special ed?
I was expelled from half a dozen schools.Tested and sent to a gifted program and was expelled from that too.

BOE sent a tutor to see me for several months while they figured out what to do wuth me.

There was no material that would challenge me so they just sent me to special ed as a last resort.

The system completely failed me and I slipped through the cracks.
I went from gifted to comprehensive classes which is one step above Special Ed. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I retired at 35 which was the smartest thing I ever did in retrospect.

Take this test. Took me like 15 minutes: http://www.free-iqtest.net/

I doubt it's very valid, but it could give us a quick idea.

It scored me at 152, which actually is in the right ballpark for me. Take it quickly, don't cheat, and report back your score. Screenshot it even.

ETA: While not timed, the speed with which you answer impacts your score. I got hung up on question 16 for a bit, which cost me some.
I took this last night and scored 142. The number sequence questions were the most challenging. One of them in particular I had no idea on, i think it was the second to last sequence question. Any idea how it was solved? Put in spoilers so MCMG doesn't see the answer.

eta: Never mind, I just saw where you can click to see the answers.

The site just downgraded your score to 129.

I got 20/20 correct, I guess your time has a considerable impact on the score.

Gave me a 155. Mainly cause I recognized a bunch of other questions from the Mensa test linked earlier and could breeze through them 25 rectangles bizznatch

Does anyone here get the feeling that this might have been the end game all along? That this bored genius is sitting around trying to figure out something to do in between solving the mysteries of the universe. He happens across this board filled with reasonably intelligent people. He proceeds to build a character - one whose sanity and intelligence would surely be questioned, but who occasionally drops just enough little hints of talent and intelligence to not be completely obvious. After some time, he casually mentions his IQ (actually 14 points below his real IQ just to be safe) in a thread here and there, with only a few laughs and eye rolls but no real bites. Finally, the right person takes a nibble and mentions money. Now's his chance. He needs to use just the right mix of bravado to draw others in emotionally and ignorance to make them feel like it's going to be free money.

...

No?

...

Yeah, me neither.

I cant figure out why so many people give him the attention he seeks. I made the mistake of giving him the benefit of the doubt once.

Some of this is correct except the part about me planning this.

I just be myself

Ill do this and the mansa exercise over the weekend and get the results to the panel
FYI, consider this like an initial screening. The results here would give a general idea, but wouldn't be significant enough to count towards anything.
Screening for what?

Btw I saw Vincent Pastore today in the hall

I said "hey ####".

He smiled and gave a little wave.

I think I annoyed him because he was going over a script

Proof of concept. To see if this is actually something worth gambling on. The actual bet will take a lot of effort to set up IMO

The consensus seems to be that I have no chance.

If im just playing you guys I could easily just fail the screening tests.

Why screen?

Also, taking this test and sharing the results will probably wet the break of more potential bettors.
How would scoring well do that?To be honest I dont even care about the bet. Im interested in seeing how I score 20 years later
They wouldn't believe you IMO

I need a refreshing nights sleep before I start blowing your minds
Really? The answer was apparent to me immediately after reading the sentence.

No

I posted early this morning on the train, during lunch and then at home tonight

I sort of kind of believed you for a while MC. But it's pretty clear now you're full of ####
I clearly stated I am down to gamble on a real IQ test. I have no desire to take any BS online tests for nothing.
From this answer I'm quite certain you've already taken it.
Want to bet on it?
YOU HAVE NOTHING AND YOU AREN'T TRUSTWORTHY... The logistics of betting with you aren't worth it for anyone, this isn't complicated. But hey, you're an elite genius, Elon Musk type

Well, what you actually did is started, struggled with some of the questions before the half way point and then quit.

I didnt even attempt those ridiculous questions

So you looked at them to determine they were ridiculous?

I got 135. But I didn't realize time was a factor. I took a break halfway through to make myself a snack. So I'm adding 30 points to my score.

Statistically only 63 or 64 people in the United States have an IQ of 176 or higher.

There are roughly 30,138 people in the US with a higher IQ than my best score recorded. Even though I'm probably not the smartest person in my zip code, and despite being very bored through highschool and having ADD... I breezed through with little to no effort. I certainly never had to fail out of special education.

You can see why I might have some issues with your claims. I'm willing to put up $5,000.00 even money you won't score an IQ of 176 or higher. Can and will you take this bet? If so, let's begin setting it up with a reliable 3rd party.

:gauntlet thrown:
