$40 for a digital download. On a different note, if anyone has a friend or someone they trust I highly recommend the console linking that xbox supports. Dainty and I pay full price for one game and we get it on both xbox's. Essentially a straight 50% off xbox games and microsoft supports this practice for "families/friends". Only hing i doesn't work on I believe is EA access and past download games, it has to be new purchases where the licenses go to the account and the home xbox.

How does this work?
 
I think he's talking about setting your friends Xbox as your home console and then logging in on your own with your live account. The download will be on your home console and you will have access on any console you log into.

I went to bed at 11%, the Xbox shut itself off in the middle of the night some point at 30%. Got it back up to 46% when I left for work this morning....hoping it finishes today so I can play tonight...

Yep. This is what we do Worm. Youtube has a bunch of tutorials. Basically I set my home xbox as Dainty's and she sets hers as mine. Then we log in normally with our live account on our own xboxs and the games purchase post doing this are shared. For what ever reason it says hi to me on both xboxs and that pisses her off because mine doesn't say hi to her. :lmao:

My guess it was the classic take for ever to download 45gb of data. If you know your going to buy a game digitally it is worth it to pre buy it on live and pre download the whole thing so it ready to go at midnight. Works well imo.

So what exactly am I buying here? Am I buying all the prior Xbox gears versions? What is this of releasing all the back catalog on 360? What is the staying power with this game? What if they release a new version in the next few months?

Just trying to decide if I should get a hard copy to sell back later or D/L if this gives access to something else.

 
I didn't play the beta so my first impressions are that it's ####### fantastic. It's gears 1 with improved play control, better graphics, the same sounds and dedicated servers.

So fn happy.

ETA- I got in rhythm a few games and it felt great, but mostbofvthebjsp night is was Dude and so with two randoms. There were two matches when we had some quality players and we mopped up.

A full team of four FBGs can and will dominate.

Huh? I was playing gears then fell asleep playing dragon age while dude and I took a break.

staying power? nowadays fbgs get excited for a week on new games....but tasker/madshot will prolly be playing this for awhile until teh new gears hit...

This is true mostly. Dainty, myself, and pete will be around. Uni can e beckoned if you shoot out a bat signal to him early in the day sometimes. Mobile(non fbg) will probably be around. If you buy Gears Ultimate Edition you get the upgraded graphics version of gears 1. Also if you play it before Dec 31st 2015 you get Gears 1/2/3/judgement digital copies free once they release with backwards compatibility at the end of the year and he beta access for GoW4 next year. These won't be upgraded versions, just digital copies so you will be able to play them on 360 emulator they are installing on all xbox ones.

Not getting married yet here, but when I go to the pubs I'll stumble home on the night bus at 2 AM and she will be up playing Gears or Titanfall all cracked out as I call it a night. :wub:
