Thrilled to nab this transcendent player, and one many consider the best all-around player of all-time, at #8. Roll forthcoming.

Roll confirmed.You got the 52 HR season, if memory serves.

With B/C+ defense though.To me the appeal of Mays was the depth of offensive production seasons that came with A or A+ range. I'd have put 65 in the mix for him but wouldn't have been happy about it.

Imagine: it's the 18th round, you've punted a scarce position all draft, and now you're ready to name the last guy with 3 solid seasons. After that, a handful of guys have 2, and then it's all one-season wonders.A quick perusal of the draft board reveals that 3 other drafters are doing the same thing at the same position.

Do you want to go on autoskip, and potentially blow an extra 16.67% chance at landing a quality guy? He||s no.

Well see...I think everyone's getting wrapped up in "elite" when at most 25-30% of the seasons will be "elite" this time around....it doesn't help matters that Ruth and Bonds are going to be ridiculous Bonds and Ruth though.

I plan on aiming for their heads and hoping for a season ending injury. Will be tough to get Ruth, but with Barnside-Head Bonds, we definately have a chance.

I found that it was much easier to do if you limited the ABs (which is one of the reason pitchers were such a bear since there's no way to limit them) and then cut them off below a certain threshold. That certainly helped...it also didn't help that I couldn't figure out how to make PivotTable do multiple columns.

Personally ... I find one hour can be a bit too brisk. But that's only me personally. One-hour limits do keep things moving in case of an absence. I think we can all agree that 9 times out of 10, if a person is not here (somewhere on FBG) when they're OTC, they aren't going to rush in with 2 minutes left on the clock.

Working on it. It looks like 03-04-05-08-09-10 but we are hashing out 10 and 11 and one other. I thought I heard someone say innings pitched are important? We have never done anything like this.

IP are an important factor in WIS salary, but doesn't affect how players perform during a game.Normalization is important in comparing players across different eras. If you search the term in the WIS forums, you should be able to find some good info. When drafting pitchers, you need to keep an eye on normalized HRs and BBs allowed rates.

Jackass IT guy won't let me plug my personal laptop into their network anymore even though I tried spinning it as a conveninece since my laptop can run circles around the dog#### PC's in the mailroom and the fact that viruses or spyware couldn't infect my computer no matter how hard they tried because I have my laptop pretty well secured. So now I'm on the piece of #### mailroom PC typing this. Thankfully, there's no internet filters here. But no sound, so no more streaming Sirius.Seriously, I spend about 75% of my workday on my laptop screwing around.

More IP is better, because that's about how many IP you'll be able to use from your player in the season without him fatiguing.However, what Eephus probably wanted to point out is the common newbie mistake of leaning heavily on salary... 300 IP that will be garbage in our league may have a higher salary than 200 excellent IP.
