****Official Trade Thread**** (1 Viewer)

12-team redraft - start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR/TE, 1 K, 1 DEF. 1 pt/50 yards passing, 20 yards rushing, 15 yards receiving (WR/TE only) - all TDs 6 pts.

Team I drafted :

QB - Romo, Roethlisberger

RB - Alexander, Cadillac, Tatum Bell, K Jones, F. Taylor

WR - S. Smith (CAR), R. Wayne, D. Driver, T. Glenn, R. Curry

After week 1 I traded Romo straight up for Marvin Harrison. Put Glenn on IR and picked up Garrard to back up Big Ben.

This week, I have offered Cadillac and Driver as a package to 2 different teams, to get back either :

Edgerrin James (owner may counter with Marion Barber) and Deion Branch or

Marc Bulger and Cedric Benson.

Both owners are mulling, waiting for responses.

12 team redraft standard scoring

gave up: Terell Owens, Ronnie Brown, Ron Dayne

got: Reggie Bush, Larry Fitzgerald, Warrick Dunn

Just traded Marvin Harrison for D. Foster.

Owner had all three RBs on Bye and believes Foster to be on upside with Delhomme injury.

I like Harrison's schedule during the leagues's playoffs

Cheers..

Let me correct, I just traded D.Foster for M.Harrison.

2 trades in my small 8 man league. Trade 1 was ADP for Boldin (worked out nicely for both of us) and trade 2 completed this week was McNabb and A. Gates (I've got Palmer and no TE required league) for Chad Johnson and Leinart. The reason for all this wheelin and dealin was the fact that I market corrected on McNabb after WR's were flying off the board and I was loading up on RB's. Turned this lineup:

Palmer, Rudi, SA, Roy Williams, Gates, and Ike Bruce into Palmer, SA, Rudi, Roy, Boldin, Chad. Reserve RB's are Lamont and Portis. I know it's an 8 man league and it doesn't apply to everyone but I liked the Grab 2 Stud QB's strategy in smaller leagues.

I just traded Donald Driver for Reggie Bush in a redraft league.

I made the move in response to having Jacobs, Ahman Green and Norwood as my coices at RB 2 Behind LT (start 2) and having Chad Johnson, Housh, Brandon Marshall and Roddy White as my other WR's.

I love having both recievers in Cinci and feel good about my other 2 guys. Driver as WR 3 (start 3)

Bush certainly has upside and is a buy low guy right now. Especially without having to share as many touches with Duece. Plus with more RB's going down I figure the RB market was just going to get tighter. I really don't feel good about Jacobs situation (injury and Ward playing well) or Green (injury and both Wr's hurt) so I figure between the Bush, Jacobs and Green one ought to pan out.

Hmmm... maybe I should offer this deal. The Bush owner in my league has expressed an interest in trading, but I doubt he'd do this. So far I have been offered :Edgerrin James and Kevin Curtis for Cadillac Williams and DriverMarshawn Lynch and Vincent Jackson for Driver and Fred Taylor.

I finally got rid of the headache that is Shaun Alexander in my keeper league..

I moved S.Alexander and Favre for Larry Johnson

I know Alexander has been o.k., but I do not trust the injury & he always looks so slow...I have Kitna as my main Qb, so I feel like I will be fine at the QB position...

I shipped Reggie Bush, Pennington and Heath Miller

for

T Jones, Rothlisburger and Dallas Clark.

I have Portis and Addai also and could have only kept 2 of them. Plus I had a bye week issue this week that would've seen me starting Dayne or Davenpoop and at 0-3 I can't handle that. Bulger is killing me so Big Ben could start.

Just pulled off a trade from a position of considerable weakness. 2 QB league and my gamble with Rex Grossman obviously is not going to work out. Lee Evans has not helped, nor has McNabb until this past week.

The result - 0-3 in a league where I only know a couple of the guys, none of whom have a match for me. The league seems to be one of those which is very trade averse. Result:

Gave up:

Travis Henry

Received:

Jeff Garcia

Thomas Jones

Kevin Jones

While I dont love the value, this may be my last and only shot at a QB that can prevent my season from officially disappearing. At the same time, I have A Peterson and A Green on the bench, so I needed to deal from my depth at RB. Now I start Garcia instead of (Griese) and go from Henry to the better matchup out of Peterson, Green, Jones or Jones. In addition, the additional players at RB give me a real chance to pursue further trades to upgrade at WR, where I am fairly desperate.

I Usually prefer to be on the other side of a 3 for one, but I think there was enough value in return considering my dire circumstances and limited trade venues in this league.

Darrell Jackson for Ahman Green and 7th before week 3.

16 team progressive keeper league

QB: Brees, Favre, Leftwich

RB: Tomlinson, Green, Norwood, S. Young, Leonard, Buckhalter

WR: Owens, Harrison, Bruce, Curry, White, H Miller, Dem. Williams

Tried to trade LT but couldn't muster any better offer than Portis, Marshall and a 1st for next year (1st = 6th in a redraft).

12-team NON-ppr, standard scoring, redraft:

Traded away Jamal Lewis and got Willis McGahee.

Initially offered Lewis for LJ and that was his counter-offer.

I lost SJax and was looking at Lewis/Green as my RB choices for the next few weeks. Seems like a wash, but I like McGahee's schedule better - he gets to play Cleveland x2 and Cincinnati one more time - and Baltimore is less likely to be playing from behind and having to abandon the run game. (It's really strange the other owner didn't wait a week to counter with McGahee, considering the Bal/Cle matchup this weekend and the points he probably gave up swapping RB's before that game.)

Besides, I've been trying to shop the Lewis/Edwards combination to upgrade my QB slot, and no one has seemed interested in the teammates. Maybe after SJax is back, I'll have more luck with an Edwards+Green/McGahee package (Harrison/Wayne at WR1/2 and Evans stashed for late season makes Edwards expendable).

I just got offered S.Jax and D. Jax for Ronnie Brown and Plaxico.

With the news circling Plax it might be a play

The second best team in my league just traded Carnell Williams and Marvin Harrison for Randy Moss.

I was surprised he did with Steven Jackson being out (although he does have Leonard). We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, RB/WR flex, TE, K, D

Makes his team:

McNabb

D Foster/L Jordan/S Jackson/B Leonard

L Coles/T Holt/ R Moss/W Welker

A Crumpler

D Akers

Bears D

First of all the league starts 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 Flex (WR/RB), 1 TE, K, D

Scoring is pretty standard. 1 pt. for every 10 rushing/receiving, 6 pt TD's. -2 for fumbles.

Team 1 Roster

QB - Vince Young, Daunte Culpepper

RB - Joseph Addai, Jamal Lewis, Lendale White, Vernand Morency, Chester Taylor, Brian Leonard, Kenton Keith

WR - Chad Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Hines Ward, Ronald Curry

TE - Antonio Gates

Team 2 Roster

QB - Carson Palmer, Brett Favre

RB - Shaun Alexaner, Edgerin James, Kevin Jones, Jerious Norwood, Fred Taylor

WR - Marques Colston, Donald Driver, Calvin Johnson, Dwayne Bowe,

TE - Jason Whitten, Greg Olsen

Team 1 give up: Chad Johnson and Jamal Lewis

Team 2 give up: Shaun Alexander and Donald Driver

Which end of this trade would you want to be on?? I'm not disclosing which team is mine in order to get unbiased opinions.

Thanks!

Good post until you turned it into an ACF thread.

i have been a trade machine this year in my 4 dynasty leagues, sometime I think I trade to much. as you can see I like to mix things up.

legaue 1

traded C. Brown for Rivers after week 1- my thinking was river has better long term value

traded T. bell for Romo after week 1- same as above and gave me a solid back up QB

traded traded holt,a. green and turner for portis, bureess and t. green- needed an RB and felt like burress was a solid FF WR to replace holt

traded cotchery, snelling and my 1st round pick in 08 for james and s. young- need a 4th RB

league 2

traded colston for portis back in April, needed a #2 RB

traded holt for t. henry- needed a 3rd RB

traded jennings, rudi and leftwich,1st round pick in 08 for r. brown, harrison and brady  - needed an upgrade at QB and WR

league 3

traded a 2nd round pick in 08 and 1st in 09 for burress- need an upgrade at WR, not a fan of 2nd round picks(this is a 14 team league)

league 4

traded t. bell, horn and a 2nd round pick in 08 for TO and cooley- this was just a steal

I see your point. I should mention the trade is completed

Traded Jordan/Santana for LJ.

Got rid of the worries about Jordan's back, and will patiently wait with LJ on the bench for LJ's nice upcoming schedule.

Traded Reggie Bush, Selvin Young and Vernon Davis

for

Marshawn Lynch, Warrick Dunn and Alex Smith

12 team, keep 2 league - standard scoring no PPR.

Gave: Rudi/Santana Moss

Got: Westbrook/ James Jones

Also same league

Gave: Eli Manning

Got: Kenny Watson

10 Team league redraft - standard scoring no PPR

Gave: Boldin

Got: Maroney

this trade just went through:

i get: MJD & matt leinart

i give: ben roethlisberger & fred taylor

already have kitna, and had to deal big ben before week 6, as pittsburgh and detroit have same bye week. at least this way its essentially dropping big ben to add MJD, my 13th round pick for his 2nd.

and who knows, maybe MJD does break out of his funk.

Just traded JLewis and SHolmes for Roy Williams and JJones.

start 1q, 2rb, 3wr, te, k, d/st

Roster showing starters + 1 deep only for skill positions:

Palmer / Pennington

Addai, APeterson / JJones

ChJohnson, RoyWill, Cotchery / RWhite

Am I insane?

This trade is done.

I gave him

LaDanian Tomlinson (drafted 1-1)

Bo Scaife (WW pickup last week)

Brandon Marshall (9-1)

I got back

Reggie Bush (1-7)

Terrell Owens (2-8)

Lee Evans (3-7)

14 team redraft PPR. Must start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 3 Flex (RB/WR/TE,) 1 TE, 1 K, 3 DefFlex (LB/DB/DL)

My best friend (2-2 so far) loves to trade. He offers trades constantly to people and they're usually pretty dumb. This morning he offered me Reggie Bush and Lee Evans for LT2 and I turned it down. For jokes, proposing a trade I didnt think hed accept, I offered the above that I've been sending back for three weeks and he instantly accepted.

I'm 4-0 but haven't been winning any blowouts and it's mostly due to matchup luck. Every week it's been someone different winning me my game (Gates, Galloway, Deshaun Foster, LT2.) We have a 13 game regular season where we play each team once and then playoffs. The way I see it if I only go 5-4 the rest of the way I'll be in the playoffs and set up nice.

I think my team will be better and more consistent but I obviously have traders remorse after trading Ladanian away. I'm concerned that I diluted my team more than I helped it. But I know that TO had one of his worst games Sunday and that Evans finally caught some balls and Reggie can't get any worse and seems to be getting better.

He also traded away Marion Barber III today and Eric Johnson for Shaun Alexander and Chris Baker earlier in the day and I don't think that was a good move for him either.

My team looks like now (please keep in mind that this is a 14 team redraft with max 17 players on each roster)

QB Cutler, Griese (bleh)

RB Reggie Bush, Benson, Deshaun Foster, Tatum Bell (bleh)

WR TO, Lee Evans, Galloway, Andre Davis (Houston), issac bruce

TE Antonio Gates

K Nedney

LB Lewis, McIntosh

DB Phillips, Sean Jones

His team looks like now

QB Matt Schaub, VY

RB Shaun Alexander, LaDanian, K Watson, S Young

WR Vincent Jackson, Brandon Marshall, Berrian, H Ward

TE Todd Heap, Bo Scaife, Chris Baker

K Kaeding

LB Dansby, Tatupu

DB A Wilson

Are we both winners? Losers? Or does he win because he got the best player?

you are the loser in this one.. You will seriously regret losing LT.. I can't believe you gave up LT considering the RB's you have now on your roster.. yuck..

Happened before last Sunday's games. Doesn't look so hot today from the Pittman/Green angle.

Crumpler, Alge TE ATL

Green, Trent QB MIA

Pittman, Michael RB TB

for

Foster, DeShaun RB CAR

Hester, Devin WR CHI

Young, Vince QB TEN

Traded Morency and Chambers for Drew Brees in a 12 team keeper (salary cap and Brees will not be kept), standard scoring (no PPR). Felt Brees was a great buy low candidate and I've basically lost 3 games because Mark Bulger and starting Chambers on the wrong weeks. My Wrs are Bolding, Roy, Marshall, and Edwards so I didn't need Chambers although Morency was a good bye week RB option.

I have made 2 deals in the last week. I am 4-1 but really did not like my team

Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex (WR/RB) 1 TE, 1 K 3 IDP

Before Trade

QB-Kitna, Garcia

RB- Benson, Maroney, Westbrook, K Jones, Hunt, A Hall, S Morris

WR- R Williams, J Walker, M Colston, G Jennings, Jacoby Jones

TE- Todd Heap, D Lee

Trade 1: Benson and Heap for D Branch and H Miller

I was growing tired of Benson and Heap. Heap seemed to be GTD every week and Benson, well thats been documented. I figured I was getting a healthy WR1 in Branch (who later hurt himself) and a decent enough TE in Miller. I felt like I needed depth at WR and Branch added that (with Walker hurt)

Trade 2: Maroney, R Williams and Jacoby Jones for TO, Calvin Johnson and Buckhalter

I was concerned that Maroney was really hurt and groins are tough to cure. I love Roy Williams but I cant have Williams, Kitna and K Jones in the lineup (especially when they have a game like last week). Williams was more marketable then Jones so I had to give him up. I needed Buckhalter because Westy's injury may linger. I figured TO can only get better from the past few weeks and Megatron can be trade bait because I dont want to fall into the Lions offense situation again

Team after Trade:

QB- Kitna (Garrard- have $10 bid on him since someone dropped him) Garcia (for now)

RBs- Westy, Buckhalter, Hunt, K Jones, S Morris, A Hall, J Wright (have a $20 bid on him, pretty sure Ill get him-might be nice bye week filler this week)

WR- TO, Walker, Colston, Branch, Jennings, CJII

TE- Miller and Lee

I plan on dangling my WRs in an effort to either upgrade at WR again or look to land a RB2. I dont think that I can land RB1 with any combo without giving up Westy and I dont want to do that. Maybe a desperate team may want K Jones and a WR for a RB1. We will have to see

14 team PPR Dynasty

I gave:

LT/Stokley/Stovall

for

SJax/Leonard/S.Holmes/ '08 1st

I was 1-4 with LT, so thought i would move him....the '08 1st is going to be a late first.

Trade deadlines approaching....

I just traded LaMont Jordan and Cotchery to aquire Chad Johnson.

My other RBs are Westbrook, Jacobs/Ward, Henry/Young, and Deangelo Williams. WRs are now Chad, Housh and Roy Williams, with Bowe as my reserve.

Sigmund Bloom and I just did a trade in a 16-team deep dynasty PPR and IDP league, which weights PPR towards WR's and even moreso towards TE's. There's also no flex with WR's, so you're always starting 3.

I gave up:

Chris Brown

Lendale White

Adrian Wilson

2008 3rd rounder

He gave up:

Kevin Kolb

Demetrius Williams

Laron Landry

2008 1st rounder

Further notes: His team is strong now and competing this year for a championship; mine's 4-3 but that record is an illusion as I have severe depth issues at QB (Bulger, Carr  ) and am shaky at WR (Colston, C. Henry, J. Porter, Randle El, Hagans, Baskett) and I'm relatively strong at RB . . . or more accurately will be next year (LT, Ronnie Brown, L. Booker, ATrain).

Anyway, Williams was a major feature of this trade for me as I expect him to break out next year once the QB situation becomes more settled with McNair gone, and hopefully Mason gone too.

12 team dynasty, PPR scoring, completed this trade 2 nights ago. I gave Cotchery, Graham, James Jones, 2008 1st for AJ and Bowe.

I finally got rid of the headache that is Shaun Alexander in my keeper league..I moved S.Alexander and Favre for Larry JohnsonI know Alexander has been o.k., but I do not trust the injury & he always looks so slow...I have Kitna as my main Qb, so I feel like I will be fine at the QB position...
GREAT trade. I wish I could get something for Alexander in one of my dynasty leagues. :goodposting:

Gave up Engram for Jamal Lewis.

I don't even start Engram and Lewis is now my #2/3 with APeterson and SJax. His value can't be that low across the board though. This guy has Parker, Lendale and Rudi and his WR's are mostly crappy outside of Randy.

12 team PPR dynasty-

Gave Rivers/Dem Williams for VYoung/C Davis

8 team PPR redraft-

Gave CJ2/Grant for Roy Williams

2 trades this week before the Saturday deadline:

1. I gave M Harrison and A Smith for Julius Jones and Ben Roethlisberger

2. Gave Gore, Jamal Lewis, Wright, Hicks and G Jennings for B Edwards, S Jackson, V Morency

QB- Kitna, Big Ben

RB- Edge, Grant, S Jax, J Jones, V Morency, A Hall

WR- TO, CJ, Edwards, Branch, J Walker

TE- H Miller
