What matters is the hard line MAGA base will vote for Nikki Haley.
Whatever acrimony some in that group might have over Haley denouncing Trump and distancing herself from him after the Capitol Riots, they'll still pick her over four more years of unchecked identity politics.
Some leftists want to mock the hard line MAGA contingent, but they have a massive down the ticket impact at the voting booth. The DNC's power base is Big Blue Cities, and those cannot hold fast if they progressively lose smaller districts, one by one, to the GOP. Enabling all the rioting in Big Blue Cities allowed the DNC to hold onto the black vote ( though Trump took the young black male vote at a rate that should alarm all leftist campaign managers) and the Progressive vote, but lost them many of the small businesses, their owners and their families. Who all pay a crapload of taxes, license fees, employ people the city, provide essential services, etc, etc. Something the gaggle of white overeducated liberal tone deaf leftists here don't seem to get is once you starve people out and their kids, esp minorities, you've lost their vote along a generational timeline.
The other problem is hard line MAGAs operate a massive ground game. There was no way Trump could match Clinton's fundraising ( and money laundering) Driving free media time by being controversial was only half the plan from Mark Burnett. The other was relentless door to doors and close quarters face to faces from locals to other locals in their area. Of course Burnett understood this, TV ratings, the kind that blow everyone out of the field, means word of mouth from the break time at the watercooler.
The non stop push about race in the MSM and nearly every entertainment outlet is a Band Aid. It's to try to patch over the open issue that the DNC strategically decided that the cost to benefit ratio to try to court the poor white rural Christian vote was not worth it. It was a decision no different than the Manning era Colts decided to shoe string their defense in terms of cap allocation and double down on their offense.
That's all much of this anger is about. The poor white rural Christian vote was finally weaponized as a brutal and overwhelming political weapon and the DNC had buyers remorse. Why did we pay Dallas Clark that money? We should have spent it on a pass rusher instead!
Think of all the high value posters that would actually post in the PSF and elevate the level of discourse here if you were sent packing permanently Tim. If people want to be gaslit, they can go spend time with their inlaws. Gaslighting people is the worst kind of purity test and it's anti-community at it's core.
