Wrong. That would be @psychobilliesWhy are we talking about all this again? and yes, of course. The reason Trump got in was because of the media coverage of Hillary. The drumbeat against the Clintons started with Rush 10 + years before and culminated with her leading a child pornography ring working out of a pizza joint. The media was key in getting Trump elected in 2016. Deny?Chill dude. guess I don't get your point then? All media is unkind to POTUS / campaigns.I didn't say anything like that, did I? I know it's easier to change the subject than to address it, but it's not very helpful. So the media was totally kind to Hillary and Obama during their POTUS campaigns? You don't know where I get what? That's what the media and DNC said about McCain and Romney while they were running. Not me. Once they were no longer a threat, they said the nice stuff. Romney didn't become a statesman in their eyes until he voted to remove Trump.I don't know where you get that at all.Maybe you should reevaluate how much faith you have in the media you consume. They are very dishonest about a great many things, and they profit off of your anger/perceptions of the other side. And that’s the contradiction I was discussing earlier. Every Trump person I know is a wonderful person. Decent and kind. And yet they vote for this awful person with bigoted, unAmerican ideas. I know that most of his supporters aren’t bigoted. So what’s the ****ing deal? I’ve never been able to reconcile it.
Consider this:
McCain: Racist, sexist ,bigot, homophobe etc.
Romney: Racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe, etc
Trump: Racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe, etc.
Biden: Crickets
It gets old being called all of those things because you disagree with a candidate about tax policy or social safety nets. Trump's success is because he was the first one that fought back against it. McCain and Romney did not, and they lost. I know it's been said here before, but Trump isn't Republicans saying F you to Democrats as much as it's saying F you to the media.
McCain: A friggin hero and excellent moderate statesmen. It's a shame he was forced into having a lunatic as VP.
Romney: Solid moderate statesmen in a weird religion.
Trump: As you say
Biden: Old as dirt who's biggest qualification is he isn't named Donald Trump
I only posted it because I was trying to help Tim reconcile his position that even though all the Trump people he knows in real life aren't bad people, the ones he sees on TV are all horrible. The media is feeding that to him and he's lapping it up. He seemed genuinely curious, but I guess he wasn't.
That's twice now in this thread that someone tried to read my mind and argue with thoughts that don't exist.
It's also why I almost always regret posting here.
Heck, Obama was called racist by the media.
Joe Biden just ran a campaign from his basement and had a son doing God knows what and it was nothing to see here...all campaigns are not treated the same.
Not because they gave him positive coverage...you cannot seriously believe that was the reason...Trump in 2016 was different than any other candidate but in no way was the MSM actually rooting for him...he was a non-threatening oddity that was not a threat to the dems (Hillary's wanted him to win the nomination)...until he became one.
We are talking about it because you brought it up.
