US best Morocco 2-0 with a second half and deep into stoppage time goal. Sounds like it wasn't that close, but some resolute defending and GK play kept the score line more respectable.
Paraguay beat Mor 2-0 in the first game, and lost 2-0 to Spain yesterday... Putting the US ahead on GD.
They meet on Saturday in a crucial last game to decide who advances to the knockouts. Spain are through.

Sidenote: After the gold medal victory, I pulled out an old Amazon gift card I've had for months and went shopping for a Sophia Smith shirt that would fit a fella my size. It arrived over the weekend and my god, I could POOP a better shirt! 
The front of this thing in particular is SO bad. You cant read the lettering in the circle but it reads: "USWNT - Players". The number 11 on the back was sticking to my car seat so bad it started peeling off.

In this winner take all game to decide who moved on to the knockouts, the US squeaked by for the win. Well..it was 7-0, 4-0 at the half...so kinda squeaky I guess.

US played Mexico in the 1st knockout game.
2-2 into overtime where the US ended up winning 3-2 and on into the quarters on Sunday at 7pm.
I only watched a replay, so not sure of how it really went, but the US went up twice before Mex scored theirs to tie things up twice. Mex's goals looked kinda scrappy, US seemed like they were on the front foot... butagain, from a few minute replay of highlights, so not sure.
they find out today who they play next on Sunday.
Brazil, host Colombia, alma mater Columbia, and Spain join them in the quarters.

USA’s best U20 player is Ally Sentnor. She’s been starting on the right side and they run their offense through her.
Claire Hutton is a really good midfielder. She plays in the NWSL the KC Current.
Their fastest player is Maddie Dahlien. She scores a bunch of goals for UNC. They’ve been subbing her in on the left side and let her run past tired legs.
