Thanks.

Wasn't suggesting Rapinoe was better than Press, just curious if official word had been released.
Was more of a sarcastic reply that didnt translate through very well lol

And I guess sits her hammy but all the secrecy and wtf explanations make me think it was a benching.  She has a bad hammy but would be avail for PKs?  She didnt warm up, would have to be subbed in and on the field to take a PK.  None of it makes sense unless they benched her.

Tell us something we don't know. She was all over the field today.
With the talk already turning to the question of who sits in the final, just trying to say it enough so Ellis hears it PRESS > RAPINOE

Who are we rooting for here?  Dutch seem like the more dangerous team but does Sweden get any advantage from having just seen us in the group stage?

Sweden didn't have a chance against the US in group play...not sure I'd see an advantage in that, other than to the US

That swedish shot hitting the post...I'd swear the GK got fingers on that, but no mention from the announcers? Anybody else see it too?

and i am in transit with no way of knowing such ungodly horrors  :X

just jumped live bet of 1-1 tie in rt +1100 for $10 (return $132)
Betting on the road was always rough on me.  Used to have to leave Monday night football right at the end of the games.  Radio would fade out just as the goaline play was happening.

brutal.

i was torn on who to back here, so i figured i'd divest myself of that agita by just going on a seemingly decent prop ...

.... oh, the humanity.

PSA- NOTE TO SELF:

NEVER bet feline footy the day after watching the awesomeness that is the USWNT, for it lulls one into a stooopit false sense of security that these other chix can ... ya know, SCORE.

carry on.

The reality, which no one on the US side wants to openly state, is that neither of these teams is as good as France or England.
Agreed, but I am seeing it noted through this game.  I also don't think Sweden put up much of a fight vs the US in the group knowing they were through and they'd have to get through them to win it all in the knockouts.

Announcers are never really watching so it doesn't surprise me they dont catch or mention these things.  I am with you, pretty sure she got enough finger on it to get it off the post.  Ball did change direction slightly.

:goodposting:

Just one time I want the ball to squirt out when they hit the ground and result in a goal.
I wish the refs would actually use the rules in the game to help diminish this tactic.  As soon as they catch the ball they are suppose to have only 6 seconds to release it, no matter if they are standing or on the ground.

I have only seen this called like once and some keepers can hold the balls double that amount of time.

I've noticed this getting worse over the last couple seasons too.  It was a point of emphasis for awhile, now keepers are routinely holding the ball at the top of the box well longer, and thats not counting the get up time or walk up to the top of the box time.....

Nice work ref, Dutch time wasting so you help them out by stopping the free kick and chasing the player to argue with her, wasting more time
