Oh yeah, I get it dude. And sorry if I came on too strong. As you know, the Redskins have frustrated the fans ever since Snyder bought the team 20 years ago...you are probably seeing some of that frustration boiling over.
And yeah, I can see how Giants fans might be upset over this...losing guys who have contributed and that you've grown to like. At the same time, I think the Giants come out on top over this. Basically, they are pulling a Philadelphia 76ers...full reboot. They are going to shed guys and contracts and next year will likely have a top pick. This year, they took Barkley, who honestly looks like the next Barry Sanders. And next year, they can get a top QB. Keep your current Wide Outs and you will have a good compliment of skill players to build on.
The Redskins are the other extreme...never allowing a "rebuilding year"...thus, Alex Smith. No doubt the team is more competitive, but that's because of the "rebuild" on defense...spending two #1 picks in a row on defensive lineman for instance. But while the QB will keep them in games, will he WIN games if they are behind? That's how we "rebuild." Giants fans should just be glad they are going to have a chance to pick a guy for the most important position on the team that can be a steady guy for 15 years...
