The Nationals had the second-best record in the league in June despite having a seven game losing streak in the middle of the month. Least painful seven game losing streak ever.
Danny Espinosa had a higher OPS in June than both Bryce Harper in April (when he won player of the month) and Daniel Murphy did in May (when he won player of the month). Unfortunately Kris Bryant will probably win the award thanks to his higher profile, even though Espi was clearly the better player, given that he had a higher OPS (1.112 vs 1.058) with plus defense at a much more valuable position.
