I've always read that it's cheaper to just buy the tickets for games you want to attend online, even if it's every home game, than to actually have season tickets. Is that false?Great time. My daughter loved it and had a blast. She was screaming along with her little friend and singing the fightsong. I may have to get season tickets again......dam you Dan Snyder.

That makes sense, thanks for the insight. I've only been to two games--one @ Giants up here a couple years ago, and last year @ home vs. Panthers. Two terrible games, of course.Depends on how good they are and where you want to sit. Some seasons, at the lowest points, people are giving away upper level tickets on craigslist if you buy a parking pass. Other seasons, like last season, tickets against Dallas were going for about 5x face value.I've always read that it's cheaper to just buy the tickets for games you want to attend online, even if it's every home game, than to actually have season tickets. I had club seats for 4 years and then regular seats for 5 years but just got fed up and gave them up a couple years ago (and I have two young daughters which made is progressively more difficult to devote all of eight Sundays to tailgating). It was always nice to have them if I wanted to go, to be able to give to friends or clients if I wanted, or to be able to sell them. That makes sense, thanks for the insight. Those are my only complaints as well (add in batted passes). And believe me, there's a lot more to be happy about than to complain about in that game. Sustained drives, more rushing, 4 rushing TDs, receivers that were actually open, a QB who actually saw the open receivers and didn't get killed while throwing to them. Man I love it when the run game is working; it makes the passing game and defense both easier.Overall, a nice win. My only real complaint (other than the continued ST disasters) is the lack of a pass rush. A decent pass rush could have put that game away in regulation.
SD coaches are tools!!!! Matthews was averaging 5 yards a carry in first quarter of the game and they never went back to him. They had first and goal at the one yard line and a TD would have won the game for them. You'd think they would put a real RB in to punch it in, no the SD coaches try to punch it in with the smallest player in the NFL (Woodhead)...I think both PK's in the game are bigger than him. Of course, the Redskins D huff n puffed and Woodhead fell down for NO GAIN. Then attempted pass play, fail. Then they bring in Matthews, but only as a decoy as the pass fails again. So they settle for a FG and go into OT and then loss the game.
Amazing that an RB can get 5 yds a carry and coached leave him on the sideline to catch a sun tan, even in situations where his presence is most needed. If I were Matthews, I would not re-sign with SD and that would be even if they are paying the most. SD lost that game because of poor coaching.
Pro Football Focus @PFF
Big day for Pierre Garcon yesterday (+5.5). One of the highest grades we've ver given, some spectacular catches & 5.38 yards per route run!
Agreed. I assume we're actually favored against Minny? After that is @ Philly with hopefully some payback and reaching 0.500.Need to win @Minnesota on Thursday night to keep pace. Getting to 4-5 would be big, especially with Dallas playing @New Orleans next week.

Definitely not saying it will happen, but our schedule is set up to make a run. Will we? I have no idea. Like you, I'd like to see us win 2 in a row before I really start to believe. But in the words of Lloyd Christmas, "So you're telling me there's a chance?!"I am more concerned with getting to 4-5 than I am with getting to 9-7. The Redskins have played exactly one good game this year (if you ignore their special teams yesterday) and have played some real stinkers. There's no reason to assume they'll put together 2 good games in a row at this point.
I'm certainly hoping for it though.
The cool thing about being a fan is that it's ok if we don't take it one game at a time.I am more concerned with getting to 4-5 than I am with getting to 9-7. Part IIMatt Waldman on RG3
I'm still reading. Good article so far.At this point, Griffin is about explosive as Aaron Rodgers.
i dont need a statement game. Just a win over a team we should beat. a 2 game winning streak should help with confidence.Tonight feels like it has to be a statement game. Not just from a "stringing together good games" consistency stand point, but also because Minnesota is just an undeniably bad team. If this 'Skins team wants to be a legitimate playoff contender this season they have to take care of the "should win" games.
It makes me nervous.
For this team, at this point, in this season, I think that would be a significant statement.i dont need a statement game. indeed. i thought you initially meant you wanted to see like a 30 point blowout win or something. but your right. just winning would be a statement. For this team, at this point, in this season, I think that would be a significant statement.i dont need a statement game. You should check out the division standings, laughing guy. Crazy enough, the division is still in reach with a win streak. Like last year.Tonight feels like it has to be a statement game. So far they are making a statement alright. Of course the statement is "Hey, our defense really sucks."Tonight feels like it has to be a statement game. Is 2012 really THAT far removed from your memory?Regime change. We've got some nice pieces but this coaching staff is never going to get us there.
No, I remember 3-6 last year too. One hot streak in 4 years isn't good enough. Is 2012 really THAT far removed from your memory?Regime change. We've got some nice pieces but this coaching staff is never going to get us there.
You guys are like goldfish.

Well I pretty much called this one. Just like the Carolina game, but probably worse. How do you blow a 13 point 3rd quarter lead to the Minnesota Vikings? Christian Ponder had 4 incomplete passes and I think Cassel had 2. How is that even possible? Our defense looked pathetic. The offense played pretty well. Sure you can question the play calling in the 2nd half, but Morris had 24 carries and I think we had 30+ running plays. When the defense only forces 2 stops all game, (an INT and 1 punt) you're not going to win many games. I blame Haslett and the defense for this one. If you score 27 points, you should win the game. These are the games the Redskins would typically lose in the past. This game reminds me of the Carolina game last year. Going in, we all thought we'd come out with a victory. Don't get me wrong, we SHOULD win this game tonight. The Vikings are decimated by injuries, especially their secondary. This should be RG3's coming out party. I would be very disappointed if we don't win this one.
Aside from being able to reach the endzone a few times, I think the O was pretty damn good this game.nittanylion said:...and here's the rub: this Team could really use a better Offensive Coordinator...but how the hell do you fire the Coach's kid without having to blow up the whole thing...again. Did we see even ONE zone read option play on that last series inside the 10?
...and that 4th down call was inexcusable. A head should roll for us not getting that game tied up at the end. No excuse. We should be winning in overtime right now.
DAMN DAMN DAMN IT!!!
I think Kyle is just the easy target after this game. But when the offense has over 400yds and you score 27 points, you should win. I'd bet teams that do that have a pretty good winning percentage. But when you allow the Vikings to score 34 points, 20 of them in the 2nd half, it's hard to win. Sure blame Kyle for getting away from the run in the 2nd half. But you can't expect the offense to go out and constantly score 30+ to win games.Aside from being able to reach the endzone a few times, I think the O was pretty damn good this game.nittanylion said:...and here's the rub: this Team could really use a better Offensive Coordinator...but how the hell do you fire the Coach's kid without having to blow up the whole thing...again. The D was incredibly awful.
I love laying blame at Kyle's feet, but he didn't drop sure touchdowns or give up the 5th highest completion percentage in Viking's team history to Christian Freaking Ponder.
I thought the Vikings got away with a bunch of calls. There was the holding on Reed that seemed pretty obvious at the goal line on the final drive. Seemed like they were also getting a few late shots on RG3 that weren't called. Definitely some holding calls that they got away with on Kerrigan. Not the best officiated game. Not putting all the blame on the officials, but they weren't exactly making things better. Especially the BS call on Baker for roughing the passer. Guess you can't put your helmet in a guy's chest?Total Yards:
WAS- 433
MIN- 307
Skins were +1 in turnover margin too.
Special teams and penalties (Skins 8 for 63 yards, Vikings a you-gotta-be-kidding-me 1 for 7 yards). The story of this season.
There's a reason Vegas oddsmakers give you four points for home field advantage. It's hard to win NFL road games- hell, look at the quality squads that lost at FedEx to our mediocre bunch the last two home games.I thought the Vikings got away with a bunch of calls.
