Yeah, the memory of the little girl drawing the maze is kind of un-explainable right now isn't it. I don't think the snake tattoo girl knows anything, she was just there to provide a clue (Wyatt) to MIB.
I get what you are saying about Bernard not being able to access the maze, but, wouldn't he have to reached some level of consciousness just to have knowledge of the maze? I guess that's kind of the mind-#### right now: To organically encourage Deloris to find something wouldn't he have to understand it himself? If he really thinks he's human then hasn't he reached consciousness?
I don't want it to turn out that there are a bunch of bots that have already reached consciousness (solved the maze). I like the idea that MIB is competing with Deloris/Mauve/Bernard to be the first one to solve it. Or at least the first to solve it other than Arnold:
What do you think it means to have Arnold die in the park when that wasn't supposed to be possible? The maze is apparently there for bots to reach the top of the pyramid and reach consciousnesses. If a bot reaches consciousness theoretically they would be immortal, without it they rely on humans to remain functioning (immortal). What if solving the maze allowed a human (that already has consciousness) to gain the immortality that the bots have. Vice versa. That all kind of makes sense too as Ford is certainly starting to play a God like roll in his world.
ETA: Also, MIB is supposedly a human trying to solve the maze, he's said something on the order of 'solve the maze to play the ultimate game'. Something definitely happens to humans too at the maze end.
