You really want some of me junior?Naw just come up here and take yer little spit ball shots at me because the team sucks. This is what a little bully does. You remind me of that little pimply-faced brat Farkus in Christmas Story. The guy with the bark but has a bite like an infant that is teething. As I was doing the same back in the same time period in which you jumped my ###. Big deal it does not take a brain surgeon to realize that this clown screwed the team and the fans. Get a mitt and get in the game honeyStay hot juniorYou think of that one on your own or did Mommy help you? They suck and they will suck for quite some time. Get over it..... You give Sox fans a bad nameGet yer shine box?
Of course I'm the one foaming at the mouth.
Like I said- bring something up here. Dispute facts and all of the above- about as true as possible. But then again I am looking at posts from a guy that tells me that A-Rod is a loser and Frank Thomas is selfish. Ohhhh and the bullpen is not to blame. You are a classic hit from behind and run kind of guy. Dime a dozen in these parts....

D'backs' Jackson on display for Sox?

By Phil Rogers, 12:39 p.m.

An interesting thing happened on Monday night in Milwaukee: The Arizona Diamondbacks played their first baseman, Conor Jackson, in left field, only the second time in his big-league career he has played there.

According to MLB sources, the Diamondbacks were showcasing him for a possible trade to the White Sox, who like his bat but have a logjam in the 1B/DH roles with Paul Konerko and Jim Thome. Arizona is looking for starting pitching and scouted Jose Contreras' last start, although the Diamondbacks are believed to be interested in younger starters, including Jon Garland and the seemingly untouchable John Danks.

If the White Sox keep their four signed starters, it is possible they could deal from their stockpile of young arms, with Danks, Gavin Floyd, knuckleballer Charlie Haeger, former first-round pick Lance Broadway and crafty lefty Heath Phillips among the names in play. They also have Gio Gonzalez, Jack Egbert and Adam Russell pushing for promotions at Double-A, so you wonder if it is out of the question for them to move Danks for young hitters.

Jackson isn't having the big season that was forecast for him, batting .262 with five homers and 27 RBIs in 77 games. But he is a skilled hitter, drawing more walks (37) than strikeouts (26). The Diamondbacks are also reportedly shopping right fielder Carlos Quentin, who recently hit his way back to Triple-A.

With Justin Upton rising fast, perhaps the Diamondbacks would consider moving center fielder Chris Young, whom they got from the White Sox in the Javy Vazquez trade. Young is hitting .238 with 14 homers and 11 stolen bases in his rookie season with the Diamondbacks. These talks bear watching.
Really sounds like a gutted farm system to me.
Yes there are nothing but talks all over the place. All I hear about was how stacked the Sox farm system was three years ago. Bring them up if they are that good. Sure beats the keystone cop act that I am looking at in the bull pen. All I see here is a beat writer that is trying to sew rays of hope on an organization that has 4 solid starters and a closer that is starting to wilt. Nothing more after that. It sure is not going to change being 9 back from .500 and 13.5 back in the div.....

What's going on here? :hifive: How come I can't go and look at the 27th page of the thread to see what I have missed without it saying "board Message"? :lmao:

What do you care about how far out they are. You wrote them off in May and started rooting for other teamsGO MIDWEST!!!!!!

I can understand how you are having a hard time sticking to the topic of defending your point. You have no point. Anyone that tells me that A-Rod is a loser and that Steve Stone is a blowhard sure opens themselves up for a beating. Anyone that tells me that blaming the bullpen of the 2007 Chicago WS is like "going out on a limb" needs to bring a bigger boat. Anyone that tries to play the race card really has some issues going on. I will watch other teams and root for the Sox stalker boy you can make your comments all you want. I was drinking brews and eating burgers at Old Comisky when you were rolling around on a big wheel. However- the bullpen blows yet another game last night and another bullpen stud gets sent down to the minors. Yer boy toy Nick was sent packing. Did he get those flowers you sent him for that trip to AAA?

And anyone that thinks sinking $25 million per, over 10 years, into an already 32 year old player is smart baseball management, they've already beaten themselves. All I'm doing is trying to beat it into your thick empty skull and hope it sticks to some bone. Arod's post season stats. He's not the guy that's going to take you the promise land. Remember, they are in this to win championships.

Since we've now determined the skull is thick and empty, I find nothing shocking about the fact that sarcasm escapes you. My comment about going out on the limb was the fact that I already mentioned it and beat it into the ground. My request for bad moves were moves outside of the bullpen assembly, yet you mentioned at least 5 bullpen moves in your resposne to that request. I'd ask if you were really this dim, but I already know the answer. And don't play the "I was there then" bull####. I watched Disco Demolition on TVI shook hands with Andy The ClownI was there when Tito Landrum hit that HR in game 4 in '83I had my first ballpark beer in that place.I sat in the stands for the last opening day and saw the roof go up with fireworks the last game ever played there while the shadow of the new stadium loomed over it. I've been there and done that too, simpleton.

I shook hands with Andy The Clown

I was there when Tito Landrum hit that HR in game 4 in '83

All this coming from a guy that thinks A-Rod is a loser. Go get me the rest of the team's stats on those losing clubs and tell me what the rest of the lineup did in the postseason. Go get me the stats on the teams that beat these clubs. They were beat sound by better clubs. You can have Uribe pal. I will take A-Rod all day any day. I will put his stats up against any player in the history of the game. He will stack up as being one of the greatest. I will take Steve Stone as well. He is one of the greatest minds in the game. You can have Kenny. Kenny is your answer and your answer is a stinking losing record. I would like something better than that. I would even take Andy the Clown over Kenny Boy. He blew this year to pieces and frankly he started his tinkering with last year's roster. He cost us the 2006 and the 2007 season but you want to hold his hand. Fine. Yeah I was there junior. I was at the games and lived in that ball park. Double header Sundays. I was AT Disco Demolition while you were at home playing with GI Joe kung-Fu grip. You shook hands with Andy the Clown while I studied the game. I brought my own beer to the game. Big deal you sat in the stands the last game. You should know that a Sox fan is not going to watch this team go into the tank but you stroke yer ego defending a team that is playing like pure garbage.

A-Rod the loser! Keep trying on that one. Hey- El Duque- Kenny let him go. 6-4 with a 2.9 era. Tossed a 2 hitter last night. But he was done. After all he is 38 years old. A-Rod up to 90 RBIs. Frank Thomas 3 more hits. Rowand another dinger- better stats than Thome. I see all those prospects for the Sox are on the bus in AA and AAA after being busts at the MLB level- "the bullpen has posted a 3-13 record with a 7.52 ERA and nine blown saves in its last 58 games. Aardsma now serves as the closer for Triple-A Charlotte, with Sisco and Masset moving into the Knights' rotation". I can see that yer boy Goldie Locks is tearing it up in AAA as well.....

Here are a few quotes for you:

"For whatever reason, it's not happening,"

"I put it together, I'll own up to it. I have a great manager, a great pitching coach and if it's not getting done, it's not getting done because I didn't put the right pieces together -- bottom line.

Guess who? I will give you a hint- you have a man love crush on him. And you defnd this guy to no end and he admits that he blew it all up. Coming straight from his mouth.

At least the team is winning today- for now that is.

Check mate....

:X just sickening :X
Didn't get to see the game but I am looking at the bullpen boxscore, who the #### is Eric Wasserman? I also see Boone "I ####ed forget it" Logan pissed his pants again. 4 pitches thrown and an earned run, what a choke artist. I'm also reading Dewon Day had another immpresive outing. :X

This series proves that a healthy Pods is still a viable player in MLB. This series will also prove that the bull pen needs a little more time to mature <_<

Ozzie is playing games with him. It makes no sense to me other than to think that Owens is getting a shot. A healthy Pods is going to bring a good player to a team. He has his slumps but the guy is a good player.....

He could be the Tiger everyday left fielder in a heartbeat. And his wife isn't too hard to look at, either.

I like Pods, but I know that there are fans that would trade him for a bag of balls.

Glad we let Rowand and Tad go to the Phills. Another great Kenny boy.....
At the time you would have rather kept Rowand then acquire Thome?
Yes- put me in the camp of guys that did not want to see him go. We had enough juice in the lineup and Rowand was a young player that was coming around in 2005. We have half the strength (that brought us a WS) up the middle on the Phils. It is what it is but it sucks big time. That boy is tearing it up this year and is no slounch in center field. What ever happend to Ozzie ball? The fact that small ball was the key to the offense in the 2005 season gave Kenny Boy the idea to start to break that up? I think that I heard Ozzie cry about how the team was a "softball" team last year. This makes no sense. The old saying"if it isn't broke- don't fix it". The Phils are surging and Rowand is a huge part of this. We blow right now- maybe it will be better next year. I like to say that the big mouths on the radio here can go on and on about how this guy is overrated but they are wrong. I would take him in center field right now but maybe we can get him back next year? Who knows- are we rebuilding? In keeping with his consistent meddlings on the club- Kenny Boy once again had the stroke of genius to send Tad packing for an order of French fries and a single A pitcher. The thing I always look at is how a player picks his game up once he moves to another team (a contending team at that). This tells me either the player was just dialing it in on the lousy team and/or the lousy team was just a bad place to be. Tad looks like a different player on the Phils. He looks like the guy we had in 2005. It is still early but his game is picking up. We got the wrong guy off the team. Uribe is the stiff that must go but we had this young stud in the minors that was waiting to take over second base. So we shipped off a good player so we could take a look at a good young player. OK- that's cool.
