***OFFICIAL*** Who'd you get on the waiver wire? (1 Viewer)

Targeted and got Rosario in both my yearly and dynasty league. My dynasty league is a blind auction waiver wire, with each team starting off with $1000. I picked him up for $140. I paid dearly (over two weeks worth of spending on average), but if he ends up being a breakout TE it was well worth it.

Could have had Fasano for less, but I just like Rosario's upside that much more.

Added:

Sammy Morris

John Kasay

Devery Henderson

Dropped:

Darren Sproles

Mike Nugent

I added Rosario, took him over Cassell. Huge rosters so players like Fasano were long gone. The Bradyy owner has McNabb. Dyansty league. I own Romo at qb and watson/lee at TE. Did i screw the pooch here?

Took a flyer on Courtney Taylor and moved Nate Burleson to the IR. I watched the Direct TV 30 minute replay and it seems like Taylor was targeted almost as much as Burleson. He didn't do himself any favors with two bad drops, but there were 4-5 other passes that went his way that were not accurate. Add in the ## that the bills D did on Seattle and I'm thinking it's possible that Taylor will have a decent shot at hauling in some passes.

Put Brady on IR and picked up Cassel (to go along with Warner. Yes. I'm weak and afraid at QB).

Dropped Carpenter and replaced with Elam for my K2 (Prater K1).

_______

Both Fassano and Rosario were picked up on waivers, too in our league.

Picked up:

Rivers

Ravens D

Dropped:

Mo Mo

L. Betts

I lost out on Royal and Titans D one pick before my turn in each instance :bag:

Picked up:

Cassel

E Royal

T Edwards

Dropped:

Brady

Burleson

D Bennett

Rough week. Hopefully Cassel and Royal pan out.

Dropped Olsen. Top claim was Rosario, ended up with Fasano.

Also dropped Josh Brown for Prater. I think Prater is going to be $$ with that Denver offense in Mile High.

Verbal Kint said:
Ours clear tonight. i've got claims in for Patten and Royal, in that order.
Why Patten first?
Granted, its close, but in the end the NO WR1 > Den WR2.
i have to agree w/ otis.without colston, i dont really feel there is any clear-cut #1 in NO (much like philadelphia situation) with passes going every which way. id think that bush and shockey are most likely to be the #1a-b in NO.as for royal, if he put up those #s with no marshall, against what was speculated to be a very strong oak secondary, what will kind of #s will he put up now. i agree they wont be 150/2 every week, but id be much more confident with royal in my lineup week-in week-out than with patten.but to each their own, hope it works out for you, signed, a colston and future royal owner-biz-

Added Pennington, someone else added Cassel, and the guy with Brady is now stuck starting Hasselbeck.

Funny stuff!!

:P

Dropped Galloway, Added DeSean Jackson

I'm not sure how I feel about it, but Galloway was probably my #4 or #5 WR anyway so I figured it was worth the upshot of Jackson.

Favre  in a dynasty league where he was dropped in the spring and our draft is R only. Brutal week 1 got me the #1 pick and passed on Cassel for the trade value of Favre (behind Romo and McNabb) - trying to trade McNabb or Favre.

14 team redraft

S Morris (dropped Meacham - before the Colston news...)

K Collins (dropped VY)

LEAGUE #1 in sig.

added...

eddie royal

matt prater

dropped...

reggie brown (either him or chris perry, decided to keep the RB)

josh scobee

lets hope prater '08 = folk '07.

I'm seriously thinking about dropping Torry Holt for DeSean Jackson  Crazy isn't it!

May or may not pull the trigger this week. He could be gone next week? Seeking to ground myself without jumping off the handle. Yet I love upside versus status quo or worse yet, spiraling downward.

Rams in disarray.

Eagles flying high.

Most likely if the season pans out both end up with 7 TD's and 1,000 yards each.

Hmmm...

Sounds like a case study for "Sell low, buy high".

Added: Eddie Royal

Dropped: Brady

I was really surprised to get Royal considering I was #4 on the waiver priority list.

There has to be someone better or in this case, worse for you to drop...

Redraft League, blind bid waivers

Added E. Royal, 39% of season BB budget (Dropped A. Green)

Added Cassel, 18% of season BB Budget (Dropped D. Hester)

Royal seems like he could be this year's come from nowhere WR (Got Colston same way a couple years ago and rode him to the finals), and I'm not liking what Holt's situation could end up being (although I'm not ready to get rid of him yet). Picked up Cassel mainly to bone the Brady owner, and trade him for something I need later. First week or 2 is really the only time our players go for any high dollars, most of the rest of the year you can pick up guys for 1-5% of budget.

I got:

Matt Ryan (drop Vince Young)

Devery Henderson (drop Ted Ginn)

Tim Hightower (drop Selvin Young)

Did not get Eddie Royal, Matt Cassel, or Steve Slaton.

I made the following waivers:

Round 1: Pick up David Patten, drop Steve Smith (NYG)

Round 2: Pick up Matt Prater, drop Justin Gage

Round 3: Pick up Kerry Collins, drop Redskins Defense

Eddie Royal was drafted in round 15 of our 20 round draft. Everybody laughed at the pick.

The Brady owner was second on waiver priority and missed out on Cassel. He didn't put in for any other players so it was interesting watching other owners swoop up all the remaining starting QB's like vultures. He left with JaMarcus Russell and Chad Pennington going forward. OUCH!

16-team contract league

- Garrett Mills (MIN TE)

- Chris Simms

- Tyler Thigpen

(Pickings are mighty slim on the QB WW. Collins, Cassel, Huard, and Griese all went ahead of my WW slot)

16-team keeper and 12-team salary cap leagues:

- Kenny Watson, Bryant Johnson
