***OFFICIAL WIS XII DRAFT THREAD*** (1 Viewer)

Upon second glance, yeah, that was a pretty half-assed effort on my part.

And that's when depression REALLY set in for our hapless hero....
I think of you more as a hapless sidekick that isn't funny enough.Think Tom Arnold in Red Heat.

Actually, check that, Arnold is kind of funny in that one.

Being considered unfunnier than Tom Arnold should be grounds for suicide.
Can I have your team?

No, he's yours. I considered him but I have no idea if I want a pitcher or a hitter here, that's the problem. I had another guy I'd rather have than Mitchell on the hitting side anyway. Thanks for the consideration though. Also Greco>I have a new phone since I live in the U.S. now

Did you really get a call from her though? She's not a very nice person nor a handsome woman. Keep sending her #### please.

I set her up back in 2001 or so in Morocco with some Canadian businessman who was looking to get laid. Guy said I could charge drinks for her to his account so I proceeded to buy 20 drinks for our group until the bartender figured what was going on and I left fast. Her name is Rolla if you want to send her some flowers/nude telegram.I'm deciding between 4 very similar relievers at the moment.

Clock fix.

Pitching staff:

4 starters and 3 relievers

106-42-74/1,388/2.19/.211/0.98/7.07/1.97/0.52

I've been lucky with hitting years but not so lucky with pitching years. If I roll all bench guys from here on out I still should be ok in Comerica with these guys if I can add a decent long man and a spot starter.

Still better than our pitching, don't worry. I think your expectations may be colored by the typical staff in a standard WIS draft.

I don't even know what a standard WIS draft is. Maybe our salary cap version but we've had leagues where a staff WHIP of 1.2 is good, and WIS like this where .98 is average. I don't think people are going to like having a guy with a 1 WHIP getting shelled but I see that happening as pitching will likely be hard to predict with all these hitters.

15.01 1989 RP Jeff Montgomery1989 has to be one of the best years for relief pitching ever.
I got frustrated trying to parse the differences between them and just decided to pick powerwe'll see how it turns out
Mitchell was the no-brainer, his OPS was among the best over several years. I would have considered a block with a certain player or two but I needed a reliever and I have a couple of real ####ty years coming up where no pitching is available. I was taking Mitchell when I went to sleep last night but I needed 90+ quality innings so I went that route. The difference between Montgomery and three other guys was so slight, I took Montgomery because I had him in another sim and he was pretty good.
