Virgil "fire" Trucks 1949.

4BB/9 is good right?

Long Reliever with some really nice numbers. Oh, except he gives up a walk every other inning and a WHIP that reflects that. Even so, will eat some innings and has some spot opportunities where a walk wont hurt but a hit will (very good OAV+)
He struck out 22 guys in a minor league game. He threw two no hitters in 1952 and after not pitching all season because he was in WWII, he came back to start two WS games for the Tigers in 1945 winning game 2.

Trucks is also the uncle of Butch Trucks, a founding member of the legendary group, the Allman Brothers Band. Trucks' great nephew, Derek Trucks, is also currently a member of the Allman Brothers Band and fronts his own band, The Derek Trucks Band. In addition, several of Trucks' other relatives are accomplished musicians.

15.17 - Pesky, Johnny 1951 UT INF

1917 up for trade if anyone is interested. I'm looking for a season with either a solid 1B or some very good RP.

I want in next time Larkin is traded. TIA.

1900 Roy Thomas is available for trade. .451 OBP/ 77 speed guy that would be nice in the 2 hole for someone maybe.

My 16th rounder doesn't conflict with any upcoming picks, so here we go.

16.7- 1922 C Pat Collins, .950 OPS backup.

Probably the only pic of him in existance.

He only played 7 years, but in this year, the guy cranked out 8 homers in 157 ABs. That's not bad for today. For 1922....downright studly. Plus, he has an A- arm, so you might see him in late inning games as a defensive replacement.

I think I took the last good player in 1922, though.

If we go by the criteria of when we rolled the last batch of rounds, we should be able to roll for 19-25 now correct?

We rolled for 13-18 at the start of round 10. So rolling for 19-25 at the start of round 16 is the same.

confirm?

I don't have any objection to this.

The guy I want hit .218 in 1959, so I think I'm safe here. If Spartans wants him, I'll re-pick.

16.3 - Andy Pafko, OF

I now have 100 OFers. (did I mention Roy Thomas is available? wouldn't take much...451 obp, etc)

Pafko provides much needed pop/right handed bat/defense. Even a little speed. Great fit for me.

I should have a great OF between Pafko, Slidin Billy, Heinie Manush, Oscar Gamble and Keller...AND ROY THOMAS (maybe)

Im fine with this, but its only through round 24. Round 25 is a free-for-all

I'm pretty sure that idea was shot down.
We've always done a free for all in Round 25. By then, a lot of us are getting antsy to start doing exhibition SimLive matches. Myself included.Edit: Ok. I guess we aren't doing a FFA.

Even if it is a free-for-all.. you still need to roll for years.

That's fine by me. And because of that, yeah, maybe a free for all isn't the best idea. So, let's roll four Rounds 19-25, shall we?

16.2 Vada Pinson, OF

Could be a starter. Could be a defensive replacement. Could be a pinch-runner. Could be that I lost any semblance of a plan about 5 rounds ago.

Rolling "1d116 +1892" 7 times

1: 80 + 1892 = 1972

2: 47 + 1892 = 1939

3: 49 + 1892 = 1941

4: 100 + 1892 = 1992

5: 67 + 1892 = 1959

6: 63 + 1892 = 1955

7: 71 + 1892 = 1963

Round 19: 91 + 1892 = 1983Round 20: 88 + 1892 = 1980Round 21: 99 + 1892 = 1991Round 22: 66 + 1892 = 1958Round 23: 61 + 1892 = 1953Round 24: 56 + 1892 = 1948Round 25: 12 + 1892 = 1904
I like the first three rounds, but I could have really done without the last 4.

Hey, the first 2007 roll!

1: 24 + 1892 = 1916

2: 61 + 1892 = 1953

3: 96 + 1892 = 1988

4: 43 + 1892 = 1935

5: 115 + 1892 = 2007

6: 35 + 1892 = 1927

7: 73 + 1892 = 1965

Rolling "1d116 +1892" 7 times

1: 62 + 1892 = 1954

2: 45 + 1892 = 1937

3: 7 + 1892 = 1899

4: 57 + 1892 = 1949

5: 71 + 1892 = 1963

6: 49 + 1892 = 1941

7: 27 + 1892 = 1919

Seriously? Not a single 1985+ year in the entire draft?

How fun.

Rolling "1d116 +1892" 7 times

1: 54 + 1892 = 1946

2: 86 + 1892 = 1978

3: 102 + 1892 = 1994

4: 90 + 1892 = 1982

5: 76 + 1892 = 1968

6: 20 + 1892 = 1912

7: 90 + 1892 = 1982
