Tremendous Upside

I will text KOya
didn't know much of anything about this guy before this draft. In 1928, he hit for the Triple Crown in AAA. Was a stud as a rookie in 1929.Found this on his wiki page...Dale Alexander, 1Bscarcity is one thing, but very few bats out there with average, obp and some pop. A true #3 hitter that should be the foundation of my lineup when runs could be scarce. Has 700+ pas so that should give me flexibility later.
Toiled in the minors for another decade after this, though. He's been inducted into the International League Hall of Fame.On May 30, 1933, Alexander twisted a knee in a game at Philadelphia. He was given diathermy treatment ("electrically induced heat" used for muscle relaxation) in the clubhouse by Red Sox trainer, Doc Woods. Alexander's leg suffered third degree burns during the treatment, and gangrene eventually set in. "It was a new method of treatment and not too much was known about it," Alexander said, years later. "I noticed my leg felt awfully hot. I ended up with third-degree burns and a gangrene infection and almost lost my leg. I was finished in the Majors... I couldn't run and I couldn't field and when I got hurt, that was the end." Alexander attempted a comeback but injured his leg again in July 1933 and saw limited action for the rest of the season, mostly as a pinch hitter
"Eddie (Stanky, Manager of the White Sox) very rarely ordered anybody to throw at someone and they were usually the younger guys. There were also guys that just couldn’t do that. When that happened he’d get on them. Remember that was expected in those days, I know when one of our guys got hit, I didn’t have to be told to do it. I had to protect my teammates. There were also times when a pitch just would get away from you. I know I hit Carl Yastrzemski in the neck.. I wasn’t trying to hit him, I was trying to pitch him inside and it got away from me. Jose Santiago then hit me right in the head." - Gary Peters
I have a feeling you'll get revenge at some point. I was going Alexander if Krause got picked as well. Will pick shortly. Not liking being next to sparty, wasn't going to go sp sp either but had planned on krause if he were left. With that saidale Alexander, 1Bscarcity is one thing, but very few bats out there with average, obp and some pop. 12 Gary Peters commonswhile we pass the time, someone gave me a pack of baseball cards yesterday. will open it up and see what we've got.
Ty Cobb is on the cover. It's the 2010 Series 2, whatever that means. May contain a "relic card".these have more fine print than medicine nowadays, as they have to list all the licensing rights for old guys who have trademarked their names (eg, Munson TM).12 Gary Peters commonswhile we pass the time, someone gave me a pack of baseball cards yesterday. will open it up and see what we've got.
Tre apparently out of pocketWill text himcould one of the cool kids get on super secret chat and tell Tre to make a pick
Cliff Melton was nicknamed "Mickey Mouse" after the cartoon character due to his prominent ears. His "Mountain Music" nickname came from his love of playing the Appalachian music of his native Blue Ridge mountians in western North Carolina on the guitar.
This is pretty much a panic pick because of f'n work.Friends dubbed the guitar-playing balladeer from the hills of North Carolina "Mountain Music." Others taunted the gentle, 6'5" giant because of his large, floppy ears. He blew a chance with the Yankees when he couldn't ignore the Cubs' Gabby Hartnett's needling during an exhibition game. After Melton was returned to Baltimore, GM Jack Ogden gave him a bonus every time he went after his tormentors. Twice, the huge lefthander charged into enemy dugouts.

Hoos took him at 1.09.John (Jack) Albert Pfiester - SPBad ### - On September 23, 1908 against the New York Giants he pitched a complete game, allowing five hits, all with a dislocated tendon in his pitching forearm. He had to be assisted off the field a few times after throwing curve balls.

You can. It'll allow you to post meaningless, unreadable partial team stats that we can argue about beginning in two weeks time.Dumb question - am I supposed to be adding my pick to a team on WIS?

Don't enter your 24th player, though -- that way, you can keep using the same account to search the WIS Draft Center in perpetuity. In essence, you'll have a perpetually undrafted WIS exhibition team. You can even enter and use pay teams on that same account without screwing up your undrafted exhibition team. You can. It'll allow you to post meaningless, unreadable partial team stats that we can argue about beginning in two weeks time.Dumb question - am I supposed to be adding my pick to a team on WIS?
