OFFICIAL WIS XVIII THREAD: An Ode to Claude Hendrix (3 Viewers)

If it gets back going please beat moops and jfranco

TIA

PS: we need a better ranking system at the beginning of next season.

I definitely get too angry at my losses, especially close ones in this. It's like 10 min of silent rage at the office.

Curious where WIS sits for everyone. It's certainly below my fantasy teams which are usually a few hundred buck bye in, but if it's between a regular season Mets game that doesn't have big implications for the post season (aka all mets games) it's pretty close and I'd probably rather my WIS team win.

3 days left to trade.

Jus' sayin
remember the one u offered me a while ago, thats a no go?
Which one? I believe a player I had was dealt in a subsequent deal. Can Cobb play catcher?
the one for simmons. you were giving me a pitcher you had just traded for
I traded away one of the decade makers since.

Unless it's Cobb and a Catcher for a Pitcher and Ashburn don't think it would be worth it to me at this point.

Are catchers as a whole doing worse than usual this to around?

My two guys have been really good. Elston Howard and Ted Simmons. Both in my top 6 in OPS.

Bresnahan is putting up .284/.403/.362 out of the lead-off spot. I have an extra catcher if someone needs one...

Pm sent SoCal.

If anyone needs pitching, I'd like to deal Pfeister, Chandler or Koufax for an OF - can give back Ashburn for a good enough OF.

Wow, what a jumbled race in the AL. 6 teams in it for 3 sports and tied in the west. 5 teams within 5 of Doug, who has the best record right now.

Offer sent. Not sure just what you are seeking though

Clarification on timing for trades... Is trading deadline after this next game or at midnight or upon the running of the AM games? You'd think I'd know by now, but no idea.

ETA: Looks like its good to go until the beginning of the am games?

Here's an idea for a future draft, sorta along the lines of HOVG... all time draft but you can only take players NOT selected this go around. No outliers, still a lot of talent.

I'd be down. And then we could do it again with players not drafted in THAT one! :nerd:

Just got beat 30-6. Ol' Sparky left Fred Anderson in to throw 233 pitches in 7 innings, give up 22 runs on 19 BB and 11 H (4 HR). Awesome. <_<

Mantle of the Schnide with a HR in a 3-2 win.
Koufax goes 7 strong for the W in his debut.

Plus Ashburn's batting .357, although his OBP and SLG are also both .357.
Yeah I definitely gave up a bit more value, but I had five viable top of these rotation starters and it was doing me no good to have wasted innings. Ashburn was really really good for me, but if I can get a little more pop that might really help.
