Omarion Hampton is the best draftable rookie (1 Viewer)

Hampton, with good size for a bell cow RB 6ft, 220lbs, is primed for 300 carries from the line of scrimmage. Jeanty and Harvey are minuscule in size—both under 200lbs and will have difficulty blocking Dlinemen. The stage is set for Hampton to succeed.

Jeanty 5.09 at 210 lbs bully RB.
OP shouldn't be posted on Hampton thread or anywhere else. Maybe call your shot flag plant, but leave out the misinformation.

No only wrong, but we've seen multiple times smaller backs having top fantasy finishes, now a days just being a bruiser doesn't even factor.

5’8 is big?
Big enough for Barry Sanders.
Can Jeanty run the ball like Barry Sanders who was one in a million? Jeanty ran up stats against weak opposition in college.
LOL

Minnesota 8-5
Charlotte 5-7
North Carolina Central 8-3 in the MEAC???
James Madison 9-4 Sunbelt
Duke 6-7 ACC
Pitt 7-6 ACC
Georgia Tech 7-6 ACC
Virginia 5-7 ACC
Florida State 2-10 ACC
Wake Forest 4-8 ACC
Boston College 7-6 ACC
North Carolina State 6-7 ACC
Connecticut 9-4 Independent

Hey @Nameath
Rather than continuing to post in here, how about you visit your first post and change it? Ashton Jeanty is nowhere near under 200 pounds. You do realize just about everyone posting in here has a massive problem with that, right? It's OK if you think Hampton will be better than Jeanty, but when you are off by ~15 pounds, that's going to cause people to revolt.

I think Hampton will have trouble blocking Dlineman with one arm too. Maybe he should let go of the ball first.

I'm just hoping someone in one of my leagues gets caught on this nonsensical hook, I have some very big WR to trade for the pea-sized Jeanty.

From the small sample I looked at, Hampton did dominate inferior competition, very physical player, a load to get to the ground. Love his landing spot but consistent with what I read, a single-speed ballcarrier. Important to note that it was on the exception of plays I watched, but saw him get completely upended, high & leaves his feet, also gets spun around. Decent jump cut but give me the runner that is low, runs with a wide base & has that natural plant, sink & explode out of his break. Hampton is too high for me in redraft, but that is an opinion that is just as likely wrong. Now, I've loved Najee Harris since he came out, high IQ & team player. It's just me, but an absolute add to their locker room & assured to mentor his teammate.

Oh I know & perhaps the exception, but the few times I watched Pittsburgh the player I saw was often handed the ball & swarmed in the backfield. Given my advanced state of ineptitude, I have of course forgotten. But I want to say not last year but the year before, his .9 yBeforec was epic stuff. Courtland Sutton, a complete bum, right? Terry McLauren, Geno Smith perhaps? When Harris came out, he too was a top prospect. Like them, his situation has changed, watch out for this player.

Speaking of Ralph Nader, he was such a cultural touchstone that there was this nineties band called The Humpers whose motto was "Unsafe at any speed." Loved their schtick. They were a little bit Los Angeles/Southwestern campy, but they were also a bit cool. My favorite song of theirs was probably "Drunk Tank."

But here's the motto song

And you—you got just what I need
Unsafe at any speed

In related news, the grass is blue and the sky is green.

We love new posters on the forum. Just givin' ya the business.

Welcome.

I still think Najee is going to be a nuisance for Hampton owners.

The eye injury is going to move Hampton up a bit and Najee down a bit. If it's truly a superficial eye injury, I suspect Najee will be fine to go.

Prior to Judkins news, I liked Judkins over Hampton even. I'd rather bank on taking touches away from Jerome Ford than Najee. Ford's certainly been a solid back, but Najee>Ford.

Obviously, Jeanty is rookie RB 1

I like the Chargers OL and coaching staff and feel that they will give Hampton a shot to be a top five RB. I don’t see the Raiders coaching staff in the same situation with Jeanty.

Don't you also think Hampton had a more difficult schedule than Jeanty?
