Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Trailer) (1 Viewer)

A little behind the time on this one...holy ####. Fantastic. Didn't think it dragged at all.

And Margot Robbie may be the sexiest woman on the planet. I would drag my nuts over broken glass, just for a whiff.

 Sorry..

There's a quote going around somewhere by Brad & Leo, when asked "how did you two get into character as middle-aged, washed up actors with your careers starting to decline?" the answer was "Quentin just told us to be ourselves."
IMO, they knocked it out of the park. Leo, (we can argue) is one of this generation's best actors. No question. Brad Pitt was absolutely perfect in this. Who doesn't want to be Cliff?

Cmon man.

I loved this movie. I know there was some backlash to it, but I still just loved the way it looked and felt.

Between this and Ford vs. Ferrari, 2019 was a great year for period films that made 1960s California look amazing. Both were absolutely beautiful films, visually.

You best get in line, sir. :P

I think most would agree regarding Leo, but it was cool see Pitt win the Oscar.  A guy with his looks could have easily had a great, long career based on mostly that, but he turned out to be a damn fine actor himself.

Finally watched this last night. Felt like Tarantino's ode to Hollywood. Definitely entertaining though.

What a weird movie. It felt long because the story meandered way too much. The ending was the best part, but that was bizarre as well. Very average movie IMO.

Round 4. This is entering Goodfellas, It Happened One Night, The Apartment territory for movies I can just watch over and over and over

Good, not great. About 45 minutes too long. Pitt and Leo were great as were many others, like the little girl. Thought the ending saved it. I doubt I'll ever watch it again but it's rare that I do that anyway. 6/10

Kinda agree with the take of good, entertaining movie but nowhere near a must see.

Typical Tarantino disjointed fare with a lot of extraneous dialogue and a movie that could have been trimmed by 1/2 hour or more. To be clear, I really like Tarantino, even the most disjointed and bizarre elements. I guess I might be getting tired of the style, though.

Pitt had his moments, as Pitt normally does, but Leo really acted in this one -- as he usually does. He embodies a character in a way that I never see Pitt do (think of it as believing Leo as a character as opposed to Pitt more or less playing a slightly different version of the character he always plays). This movie isn't the first time Tarantino's used the conceit of an alternate reality and it just feels stale at this point.

Was it an entertaining movie with some great moments? Yes. Was it a great movie? No.
