215.8 this morning :coffee:

Otis, you'll be hearing from my attorney.
Last night I drank a bottle of red wine, and currently I'm plowing through a rack of Tate's whole wheat dark chocolate chip cookies like a lawnmower through fresh August morning grass.
I haven't followed this thread at all. But based on the title, It would seem the word "diet" is confusing to you.

Well, kinda, yea.

I'm a huge fan of getting fat but for ####'s fake you're even getting fat wrong. Do you have any idea how mad you're going to be at yourself for getting fat eating whole wheat dark chocolate chip cookies? When and if you finally do decide to lose the weight and you have to run 20 miles to lose a pound you're going to be like I can't believe i thought those ####ty cookies were good for me. Think about that when you're drinking your wheat grass mimosas and turkey bacon and eggs Benedict for second breakfast.

i would really like to see both of you guys do this and lose weight i know you both are young guys with wifes and others the depend on you and have stresssful jobs and whatnot so i hope that you can do it my thing is i eat a lot of vegetables they are el cheapo whihc is nice on the pocketbook and you can eat a ton of them and it adds up to no calories so ill wack back a ton of green beaners or asperagus or carrots or celery or whatever heck get the steamer packs for the microwave and dump some spicy stuff on them whatever its not fancy but it keeps you thin and keeps you regular as all hell look who knows you have abouut a billions advices in here but all i am saying is i hope you can both knock it out take that to the bank brohans

Muscle Milk Light x 2 before lunch.

Southwest Chicken Chili from Jasons Deli or a Grilled Chicken Sandwich for lunch (Chick Fila)

Basketball and/or weights everyday.

Eat like a champ for dinner (whatever I want).

Plus I walk around telling myself to give me 20 whenever I feel like people aren't looking.

Yes you CAN, but no you WONT. Stop trying to lawyer us, Grimace.

Otis - 242.8 is my starting weight as of today. That's .6 less than yesterday but I roll with it. 212.8 by Independence Day for my $100. You rolling with the 241.5?

:hifive:

Sounds good.

Yes, I'm rolling with my 241.5 as my starting weight. I'm about to leave for a month of business trips to Asia and elsewhere, so this has the potential to get off the rails really fast...

What are you doing over there?

On the plus side, they eat pretty healthy in Asia. I think you get this done this time.

You don't need to break out the jinx on me here. I'll screw this up all on my own.

Just want to point out that our man Otis is down 5.4 lbs in the past week.

Hide your single malt and beef jerky, Otis is coming for you!

Thanks GB  and thanks for the encouragement on MFP.

A tough stretch ahead.  I'm traveling for work for about the next 3 weeks, but doing my best.  On the flight over to Asia I usually get hammered; yesterday I had a light beer, skipped the bread and cookies and just ate the meat and veggies.  Last night at the hotel had a steak and exactly one glass of red wine; skipped the warm bread, good as it looked.  Got up at like 2am and went down to the hotel gym.  Basically doing the best I can under the circumstances.

I find this much harder than being at home.  I'm very much a creature of habit.  I find it so easy on a typical workday to have my coffee, have a salad or protein bar or apple for lunch, and come home and eat a normal healthy meal.  Routine makes it easy.  But when I'm out of that routine, and you're stuck in hotels and airports and wandering and grabbing whatever you can, or eating out big work meals and drinking, man, it's so easy to go off the wagon.  I'm going to try like hell the next couple weeks to start correcting and building some good habits in that area; I have realized that those things are never going to go away, and I'm never going to have the consistent daily routine, so my best bet, maybe my only bet, is to figure out how to do this on the road and with work stuff, because otherwise those things just become easy excuses.

Travel can be a real kick in the balls for eating right.  Finding healthy options can be done of course, usually pretty easily, but never as easily as unhealthy options.

All I can say is that you gotta want it more than you don't care about being Bloatis.

 Okay man I haven't seen an update from you, on MFP, in four days.  These are the times that test us man.  I know you want this, I just don't think you have convinced yourself of that fact yet.

I'm not home, hence don't have the wireless scale that auto updates MFP, hence no MFP updates since then.

So far I've been OK.  Haven't snacked on sweets and crap, but I've definitely had a few steak meals (nearly all meat) and definitely had a few drinks each day (all of my meals are in restaurants).  But I've been going to the gym (going again this afternoon) and haven't gone off the rails completely with food or booze.  I'm feeling pretty good.  I could be eating less and better, but if I can do well the rest of this weekend and into next week, I'll feel pretty neato.

No worries, just want you to know that not everyone in here is entirely invested in your failure, entertaining as that may be, we would much rather see Woz fail because y'know...NOXPLODE!!@!@!@!!!@!11132121!!!

JK Woz, you know I love you too.

And Otis I think I told you that I lost 50 lbs last year between Feb & July (and am still having little trouble maintaining my goal weight) averaging 3 glasses of wine/day and I never set foot in a gym during that time.  It can be done.  I have said it probably 50 times in this thread, working out is great for you but it isn't great for losing weight.

Mind you I work out now, and have for awhile, but if/when I exceed my goal weight I immediately stop until I get back under*.  But as long as I am under I work out 4-6 times/week.

*Of course body fat % enters into this, and changes my goal weight but that isn't a Fatty 101 level conversation, you'll have to subscribe to my newsletter for the high level stuff.

This is impressive.  This is what I need to do.  You are my hero GB

I'm still on TeamWoz but would love to see Oats make this interesting. Finally. Most viewers have long given up on this boring program and switched channels.  Maybe they will come back

Damn, what is it about this thread.  Spotted you an additional 12 pounds this weekend Oatis.   :porked:
