Otis fad diet thread — yoga, fasting, and kevzilla walking on🚶‍♂️ (2 Viewers)

What happened to the potatoes?  Just knocked one down with some sour cream.  That's been my go to for a few weeks now.    Not as healthy as with just salt, but a lot more sustainable.
I am a weak, weak man. Just haven't had motivation to keep up with the Potato thing. I'm hitting it again today, and keeping it up, at least thru April. But even now, it feels half-baked. Im looking to get myself pumped up.

Been reading thru this thread, and just disgusted with myself knowing the progress I missed out on. Especially when some the guys here are killing it

I'm so ####ed. Nephew birthday party today, my son tomorrow, then traveling next week.

the birthday parties, meh - it's the family stuff where there is just #### tons of deliciousness after that's the problem.

Went to the orthopedic doctor on Monday to figure out what's going on with my elbow pain. Physical examination could not definitively diagnose my issue. X-rays show a possible 'loose body' in the joint. Doctor couldn't be sure though, so he ordered an MRI. But that makes total sense. It's not tennis elbow or golfer's elbow. He ruled those out. My biceps muscle is not painful. It's mostly a general, dull, achy pain. And It becomes more acute upon flexing and twisting. A loose body would explain all of that.

And I recall that the pain started a couple of days after I whacked my elbow with my tennis racket while playing with my son. I swung at the ball, and the racket came around and hit my left elbow. And it stung pretty badly. It's possible that I chipped a small piece of bone or cartilage that is now floating in the elbow joint space causing the pain.

And if it is a loos body, that would require an elbow scope under general anesthesia.
Is it your fapping arm?

Is it your fapping arm?
Thankfully no. Although wouldn't have needed it anyway what with the incredible sex with the wife last night. I must have made her orgasm 5 or 6 times.

Up and at it early this morning. 5 mile bike ride to the track - 4 or 5 mile run at the track - and then 10 to 12 mile bike ride back home.

Off to a fantastic winery in the hills later this afternoon for some fun.

Happy weekend!

Back has improved enough so starting next week I'll do pilates twice a week.  Hopefully that will improve my core such that I can maintain a more active lifestyle.  I've had to live a very sedentary lifestyle due to two herniated discs the past 6 years.  Naturally I've gained about 30 lbs which hurts the back more.

No workout scheduled today but I did spend the day walking the JMU campus for a total of just under 20k steps.  Of course I'm now hitting the vodka and I'm thinking of ordering a cheesesteak, but other than that it will have been a fine day.

Let's Go!

Think it's been a decent week.  Averages under 1700 calories/day.  Did the stationary recumbent bike 5 of 7 days.  As of this morning I was down 2.4 lbs for the week and 39.6 lbs since the end of November.  Had a big dinner tonight but still under 1800 calories for the day.  Hopefully it won't negatively impact my weight for the week.  Still liking my slow, but steady, progress.

After you get used to it, 1700 calories a day is pretty easy, no?

Yes.  Still adjusting protein portions at dinner, but it's been surprisingly easy.  Could have been lower even.  Couple of nights I had snacks before bed because my blood sugar was under 100 and I get a little skittish when it starts dropping that low.

I understand that you didn't realize it when you posted it but that's a neo-Nazi band. Note the German SS symbol in their name.

IMO the song isn't funny enough to justify giving them any recognition.

You'll have to forgive him - he's a Liverpool fan.

272 this morning.  Down another 2 lbs.  Will post official weigh in tomorrow.  Yesterday was tough, set a new record high here at 63 degrees and so wanted to head out for a burger fries etc with the family.  Slow and steady.

I learned this week that if you don't go to the gym and eat a butt load of bad food, you'll gain weight for sure..

Interesting.

Proud of you guys who are hanging tough. I'm a couple beers into lunch at a restaurant with the family, but it's some hippie healthy low cal restaurant, so could be a lot worse.

Still, I need to get motivated.

I will say that I still don't have complete control over the food.  Like today, I'm at around 2k calories after a couple bagels, egg sandwich, peanut butter eggs, and some chips and salsa.  I swear that come Monday I will not eat/drink more than 1.5k calories for at least 6 out of every 7 days until this contest is over or I'll start posting selfies like AAA.  And believe me, while your wives would love to see my selfies, you boyos don't need to see what the competition actually looks like.

Let's Go!

Off the Wagon.....

King cake season strikes again.

On another note my wife just signed me up for Weight Watchers for a $100 so I will be doing that I guess.  Ho hum.  No way I am wasting $100 on WW.

Party continuing at the Oats house.  Whipped up some GM 75s (like French 75s subbing in Grand Mariner for the gin), and torched up a nice Montecristo.

It's 60 degrees and sunny in NY in the middle of a miserable February.  Hard not to celebrate.

TOTAL OPPOSITE OF MY LIFE

How the hell are weekends a breeze?  Don't you like booze and partying?  WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU
For me the hard part is the busy week. Not enough time to plan things, different  things come up and plans change. Yeah the weekend parties are fun, but also easier to plan imo. Going out drinking superb owl weekend? Cool, I'll eat ahi tuna and chicken all weekend*.

And some deep fried hostess Apple pies

Aren't you forgetting one other small fact my friend?

Travelling this week, actually in air right now to Seoul.  Usually on trips my issue is never having enough time to eat or ending up with some crippling squirts.

Getting 2 road rides in during a weekend in february was something I'd never expect to be doing while still living in nj.   Incredible weather we're having.   Weather has been pretty awesome in general this winter.

You're hitting your stride, dude.  Keep it up.
Thanks. This is very important to me after I ate with reckless abandon last year with good reason. Not only do I wanna get healthy but I have my son's communion in may, my brothers bachelor party in August, and then his wedding in November.

There's something to be said for clean, positive living.  Don't get me wrong, I'm hammered to the breeze right now.  But I admire what you're doing, and I'll be riding your coattails and getting some inspiration.  You're going to lose 20lbs and feel like a new man, tons of energy and positivity.  Your girl and your whole family lifting you up.  You go, brother.  Keep doing you.

I'm pretty sure I did not weigh-in last week, but anyway, today's weight is 206, which occured after eating breakfast. Not great, but I'm down 7 lbs so far.

Pretty sure I have not even reaped the benefits of significant water weight loss yet. I'm losing a pound a week, and I can't seem to join exercise and healthy eating together. It's always one or the other.

So, if I can drop 2 lbs a week for the next six weeks, that will put my weight loss at 19 lbs, and let's round that to 20, will that put me in contention?  9.4% reduction. If I can manage 3 lbs a week from now, that will get me up ton 11.7%

Is anyone still tabulating the weights?

Yes, @Sand is still tabulating weights.  Let's do this, fella.

Yep, i'm catching them as I can.  For folks who miss weeks I'm just guessing and filling in.  Not filling in led to the Great Zow Disappearance of 2017, so I have to fill in somehow.
