Otis fad diet thread — yoga, fasting, and kevzilla walking on🚶‍♂️ (5 Viewers)

This is so foolishly incorrect... Look at me, I'm in my 50's, I know everything.

I'd say the typical 35 year old could lecture you on technology until you're blue in the face and maybe you would understand 10-15% of it. I could lecture you on digital marketing/internet technologies for weeks on end, but you prob know it all, since you're 50 and all.

Exercise? Diet? Why would you take my advice, everyone who is in their 30's looks like me, what do I know   This is actually the product of calzones, brisket, and riding my mobility scooter around Walmart. In about 3-4 weeks, I'll show you the progress I've made, gonna make that version of me look like a slob. Oh yea, I've had 3 spine surgeries in the last decade, what's your excuse, you're 50? But weighing 210 and getting your body fat % under 10% is easy stuff for any mid 30's dude, ask your local neighborhood NFL Free Safety about it.

The way you remember it, you were prob a bodybuilder in your 30's. Matsuki could beat up Floyd Mayweather in his 30's. Thorn prob passed on an NFL contract to be a potato farmer.

FTR, my metabolism slowed down dramatically in my late 20's and I had to make some serious adjustments. When that happens again, I'll do the same.

Oh yea, anyone who can't modify their diet or is fat must have an eating disorder type problem, similar to that of a drug abuser, alcoholic, or gambler. Interesting take, I like the excuse making... Yet every older dude on here calls millennials whiny babies, amazing.
Relax youngin'. He's simply saying that as a 30 something you are totally clueless on nutrition and fitness for older folks, and he's right. OIder people have experienced the aging process and what it does to your body, you have not. Thus some of your simplistic advice should be taken with a grain of salt by us older crowd. And by the way you're not helping yourself with the technology strawman, people at any age can learn technology it's not something you have to live X years to experience.

I won't leave you drifting down

but lord it makes me wild

with 30 years upon my head

to have you call me child.

You guys obviously have this one under control, no reason to offer advice on something you all clearly do very well.

Oats, good luck eating potatoes, I think you've got another week of this in you. Give the cookie diet I posted earlier a shot in June.

I'm on your side here.  You are a good guy simply trying to offer solid advice.  In shtick threads that is even more important, it serves as a necessary counterpoint, a foil off of which others can riff.

Top tier new school poster.  Keep pushing our shuffling, old school asses.  In our dotage we need a push or we totally lose momentum and find ourselves standing still, often, we know not where.

As for that tech stuff, how does that apply to my rotary phone?

It's cute that he think his metabolism slowed way down in his late 20's and he had to make "major adjustments".

Tuesday - 217.5 lbs

Wednesday 215 lbs.

Thursday/This AM - 210.9lbs
209.2 this morningLower than I've been in a couple months for sure. I've felt good all week, dropped a few pounds, clothes look better. I'm jumping off the wagon tonight.

I cant lose weight that quickly, not enough calorie deficit, don't weigh in every day, yada yada yada, I know, but those are the number... I would do this again for a few days as a reset/quick loss.

I guess more than 3-4 days would be required for the taste bud reset thing because I definitely craved tastier foods throughout this but I did feel full throughout and definitely ate less in terms of calories... now to see what happens when I switch to more traditional healthy eating patterns.

i'm in my 40's and don't understand the innertubes.  can one of you ingrate ####### millennials turn that pic into an avatar or a sweet ### meme?  tout suite!
Done :flex: Look upon my works, ye mighty, and become tumescent!

Nice work. Loving that all the guys that are doing this are seeing results. and good ones.

<========= Can't believe no one else had done this yet.  You guys are slipping.
It was my first thought this morning. An homage to a thread that has already exceeded my wildest expectations. My only regret is that I worked a 12-hour shift yesterday, and only got to binge on yesterday's shenanigans when I got home.

This explains a lot
I'm actually 6'2 with a 77" wingspan (to answer the earlier question)  My response was pure shtick, like this wildly entertaining thread, I'm already excited for Oats next diet. The fact that I've mentioned the weight of 210 12x (and you seem to be avidly biting the hook, although information clearly doesn't stick well), that one just went right over you, not really surprised.

I remember DoctorDetroit quoting something off of your Linkedin profile, and it still makes me laugh to this day:

"Leadership: Head officiator of local Kickball league" Way too go dude, crushing life... It wasn't even shtick, it was actually there, he had the proof. I know officiating kickball always comes up when I'm negotiating a salary. Def something prospective employers are interested in  :lmao:

You also mentioned a few things earlier, so I'll help you out:

1) My wife has frivolous spending habits, so yes I complain. Trump couldn't keep up with her spending habits, but don't worry about me financially dude, we're doing okay.

2) The doors actually took 2 days, they were hollow core, there were 4 of them, they came out perfect, and my building is 150 years old which means everything inside is crooked and makes a job like that very difficult. We ####### nailed it. Every time I open and close one, I still feel a nice sense of pride on that one, thanks for bringing it up.

3) My dinner was fantastic, thanks.

How many days you shooting for other not counting these one off cheat meals like tonight?  This might be your best diet showing yet.  This could be the one.
I know right???

No idea. I'd like to eventually move to weekends off and spuds during the work week. Just not sure when to do that. Maybe a gradual conversion.

Knock it off bros.  Oats already threatened once to shut this thing down.  It wouldn't be the FFA without an annual Otis diet thread.
Oats initial potato sack is probably running low, and I'm in the camp that says he doesn't replenish it. After he eats and drinks normally tonight and hops on the scale + 5 pounds tomorrow, we'll be near the end. I'd be willing to bet he goes at least 2-4 weeks without touching a potato starting like Wednesday of next week.

Every diet thread he has goes off the rails, that is the entertainment value. I'm sure he is lining up his new diet already.

Which are?
Fatty acids (which come from fat, you only need a little, but I doubt a potato delivers even the little you need), vitamins, calcium... Just looking at the nutritional value - I'm sure there are others, but whatever.

I've heard a whisper of your body being different as you age in this thread, I'd assume proper nutrition would be important to helping while you age, but what do I know, I'm only 33.

otishan the swcmizer is always looking out for you so i will say is this if you have potatoe vodka tonight my ruling from the swc league office is that it counts as staying on track take that to the bank bromigo

No need to supplement. Potatoes got you covered. Maybe some B12 if you're going a long time and you wash all the dirt off your potatoes.
