Honestly, just watching calorie intake and walking between 7,000-10,000 steps per day. I eat "cleaner" than I was as well (less additives, preservatives, sugars, soda, etc).Wow that's amazing. 7-8 lbs a month is tough for even a month or two but for a long as you've done it, making it through the holidays and pandemic months and everything else, serious kudos. What were you doing that worked for you?
The scale says I gained 2.1 pounds this week. I didn't do a good job of dealing with my stressors. But the thing is, there will be more stressors next week. No one leads a stress-free life, so better adaptations are necessary.
We can share recipes if you want. I have a bunch of things I cook for one or two when I'm dieting that are healthy but still scratch the itch for something fun.Honestly, just watching calorie intake and walking between 7,000-10,000 steps per day. I also learned to not overeat so much at night. Being empty nesters, it is extremely hard to cook to 2 without overcooking leading to overeating. There is a place near me called Clean Eatz (https://www.cleaneatz.com/ ) that specializes in "clean" meals. They sell frozen meals that are outstanding and do the trick. Perfect for a lunch or dinner.

A usual month for me on a 1500 calorie diet includes
Stir fry shrimp.
Seared scallops
Chicken quesadillas
Turkey chili
Eggs Benedict
Pizza
Lots of pizza
Cheeseburger and fries
Egg and cheese sandwiches
Cowboy caviar
Turkey avocado wrap
Southwest chicken salad
More pizza
I'm not a "clean eatz" guy and my sodium has been high recently but I've been pretty good with getting my fiber and protein and keeping my calories down. If you're interested in any of these let me know
LOL, I know there’s nothing scientific about this, but after struggling with a plateau for over two weeks, it’s like my body said, “if you insist on doing this, I’d better drop some weight, you #######,” and I dropped four pounds.Decided to try some treadmill jogging today. Not my best idea. I’m going to have to go full couch to 5K and just alternate 2 minutes running and 2 minutes walking for 2 to 3 miles for awhile.
We call that rucking. Been discussed here a bit.Just checking in. Hovering around mediocre to out of shape all 2022 and have finally caught some rededication and got it to stick. Playing basketball at least once a week, bike rides with wife on weekend, and I'm doing walks with a weighted vest because running on concrete kills my knees and shins.

To me the biggest benefit of yoga is that it works pretty much every muscle, even the little ones. When you do balance poses, you put stress on whichever muscles are weakest in keeping you balanced. When you hold poses like warriors you work muscles to exhaustion. Almost everything you're doing is working your weakest muscle groups.I'm never going to do a full yoga session regularly, but I've decided that a little bit of daily yoga is far better than none. So I've settled on four yoga poses that I try to do every day.
Downward dog. (We all know this one. I just added this today -- been doing the others for a while.)
Malasana. (Just sitting in a relaxed deep squat.)
Horse pose. (Someday I hope to do five minutes. I'm not close.)
Hanging from a pull-up bar. (Not actually a yoga pose, but should be.)

When you choose a handfuln of yoga poses are you accomplishing something in particular? Or just not a fan of yoga?
Nice work on the loss and also giving people the luck in the butt we need. I'm back in.We enter the dog days of summer, and trust me, I'm the poster boy for our collective flagging spirit. We have to remember that the forces that conspire to make us gain weight never take a day off.
The scale says I lost 4.4 pounds this week, which I deserve. But I haven't posted a loss since March, so it doesn't mean much unless there are more good results to follow.
I don't wish to single out BF, but this is a great example. He already knows how the next two weeks are going to go. How to combat this?May 29 update
