Otis fad diet thread — yoga, fasting, and kevzilla walking on🚶‍♂️ (3 Viewers)

So a pint of this stuff has 48% of my protein, 48% of my fiber and only 240 calories and it tastes good.  What's the catch?   Last time something sounded this good, I got anal leakage.  Yeah, I'm talking about you wow potato chips.
16g net carbs per pint... that's the only reason I won't down the whole thing in one sitting.  Some people's gut can't handle the other 16g of Sugar Alcohol... but that doesn't affect me (thankfully).

194.8 again this morning.  Man I hope I can break through into the 193s this weekend.  I feel like this is literally a wall I need to bust through.  Haven't been able to do it yet.  Hitting the gym tonight, then going to see a concert later.
I forget... are you doing any of the things recommended to try to bust a Keto plateau like IF, Collagen, Fat Fasting, etc?

What would you consider a goal, largely fat-free weight, 170'ish?  I actually took a second look at the pics and there's noticeable fat shrinkage.  Keep it up, you're on the right path.

I'd post my pics but I'm just too ####### handsome.   :D
10 years ago I got down to 170 - I thought that was a good weight but had people ask me if I caught AIDS.  2 years ago and I was down to 180.  That was a little better but I still had a small gut.  I said earlier in the thread that my goal is to 1. get healthy - my A1C score was borderline and I was having some unexplained abdominal pain.  2. Secondarily but obviously related was losing weight.  I think if I keep eating the way I am then who knows how low I can get.  I think I'd like to get down to 160 and then add 10 lbs of muscle and stay around 170.

You and I are about the same weight... but I carry my weight like a friggin' woman... ###, legs, roll.  Maybe it's just because it's different, but I think I'd prefer a gut.
It has to be some kind of hereditary thing - all the men in my family that are overweight have the majority of it in our bellies.  I think I could have liposuction today and tomorrow people that know me would just assume I gave birth - for people that didn't know me I doubt they would know how heavy I was.  And no offense GB but I definitely prefer carrying the weight like this - but I more prefer that we both get rid of it permanently  :hifive:

One other thought on this.  The gut is where I obviously lose it last also - you can tell in my face quit a bit what I've lost already.

LMAO - I'm the same way.  I always have a big ###. But when I'm heavy its real big and a small spare tire.   I know I gained a lot of weight when my gut shows up

I have to wear 40" waist jeans... not because of my waist, but because of my ### and legs.

That's the key.  Need to have some muscle mass.

217.0 this morning.  Down 20.5 lbs from my official weigh-in on 1/2 - down 23.7 lbs from midnight that night.  I figured out how to upload my pics - don't you guys go gay or anything:

How tall are you? Props for showing the pics. I'll show before and after when where done. I weigh 235 now but your belly is still way bigger than mine ;)

I get this is way down the line, but it'd probably be easier to get to 170 then add muscle and try to maintain that weight rather than drop below then try to add it.

5'10" - yep, I have a huge gut - my arms and legs barely have any extra weight.  Like I mentioned, even when I got down to 170 I still had a small gut that was somewhat visible.

Is there any scientific reasoning behind where people carry weight? People are always shocked when I tell them how much I weigh. The trainer last week thought I weighed 200 lbs because it's all proportional and I carry it well. I do have some man boobs I can't wait to get rid of.

Yes.  Gender expression controls this to an extent.

Women have 4 areas they accumulate fat, thighs/### (gluteofemoral), breasts, triceps, and gut. Women with gut fat are far more likely to die early than any other sub group out there.  Women that carry it all in their ###/glutes actually are shown to have an actual decent lifespan even with a pretty high BMI.

Men by contrast carry upwards of 80%, and sometimes nearly 100% of their extra fat in their belly.

If you have full on gyno as a man, meaning you now express fat like a woman this is really quite bad from a psychological way but you probably aren't going to die.  Nobody has really been able to find a fat expression that equals early death in men like women.

Gyno in most men is due to adverse affects from pharma and or workplace occupational hazards.  But man boobs are nearly always associated with higher levels of estrogen.  The main way to fight man boobs is to do a lot of squats and deadlifts to get your body to think it's a man again.  Also raise the amount of Medium chain fatty acid in your diet (Avacdo/fish/nuts).

Curious, do you have any ED or libido issues? (understand if don't want to answer)

Yeah people think I'm lying

Why would I tell you I'm fatter

OK. I'll admit I slacked the last 2 weeks.  I took pics like AAA.   Completely disgusted.

I'm all in.  I had a great day today

LOL @culdeus lays it out straight.  Make your body think it's a man again.  Lol

I lose it quickly in my neck and face too. Mrs O today "my honey is looking very skinny."

:flex: :kisstheguns:

I had nine alcohols and all the junk foods tonight. Tomorrow I leave for two weeks. I will either implement good habits for these two weeks or not.  Fingers crossed.

Smoked weed for first time in awhile and the munchies hit hard. Cookies and trail mix etc. Good reminder why I stopped smoking the tweeds.

My god you people cheat a lot considering it's a weight loss competition.  Hand to a Bible I haven't cheated once in 26 days.
I was stuck at a conference all week - client lunches, client dinners.  Ate really well, but broke down and had a couple cookies at the last break.  So, overall, pretty good - not going to freak out over small blivets in willpower.

Got home and only gained 2lbs on the week.  Which, honestly, is pretty awesome.  Working 14hrs/day, no exercise, having to eat something reasonable at meals while entertaining.  Hopefully drop a couple in the next couple days and put in an even week.  I'll just label it "consolidation week".

2 Week Mark for me:

Starting weight: 212

Current weight: 203

Total lost: 9 lbs

4.25%
Got you in there.

General Announcement:

In the dashboard google sheets file I added in a big list and some histogram outputs to the right of the main graph.  Now you can see exactly where you are in the big scheme of things.
