Colonoscopies result in the best nap you’ll ever have. Almost makes you want to do them frequently. Almost
I am not sure why people dread the colonoscopy itself. They put you for a nice nap. I have no recollection of anything happening. It was just a great nap. Now the day before wasn't great but it wasn't as bad as it was portrayed. I even did the gallon jug of stuff because the doctor said "it works better". 8 oz every 10 minutes. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. All in all the anticipation was much worse than the actual activity.
I've had three. Not bad at all. I actually watched the TV monitor of the procedure during the first one. Interesting ?
That’s some fetish you have.

From the pages of Captain Obvious - stay ahead of the foods that give you heartburn.
Man, that one hit me like a ton of bricks after I turned 50. Never had heartburn in my life until one bout of extra spicy thai red curry a fee months after i turned 50. Almost went to the ER thinking it was a heart attack!
It started as heartburn in my 50s. Then I started getting acid reflux. Took a lot of antacids, then started taking Pepcid AC. It worked for a while. Doctor finally prescribed me Omeprazole. One pill a day for the past six months and no more problems. With insurance the cost is $0, which is great.

For those that don't have the prescription version covered by insurance, you can also get an OTC version.

When your watching the live feed of your own colonoscopy it's time to reevaluate choices in life. I'd assume it's a one time watch show? Or have you rewatched it a few times? Ha ha

I was out the other two times. Not sure why I was awake the first time. Did not get a DVD of it to watch later. Would have been a good show for the kids. :scream:

I don't think hour supposed to be awake for any of them. It's what happens when you use a 90% off coupon and the place is connected to a McDonalds. Ha ha

Any time I hear someone complaining about a colonoscopy you know they've been quite fortunate, health-wise. Like you said, it's a total breeze and it pales in comparison to sports injuries, especially major ones, and a slew of other ailments. An easy, elective procedure that is good for you and helps prevent cancer while you're zonked out?

But wait, omg, I missed a meal. Call Africa and tell them.

And it's not very frequent either. That's like complaining about getting your teeth cleaned. Love that too, btw.

I was enjoying my Happy Meal

I have put on an extra 15 lbs in the gut and that is bothersome.

May be time for an avatar pic update - you were always too skinny in that one anyway.
Ha! Yeah. This was never me, though the number of times people thought it was amused me.

I know GB - good to see you around
Agree with AAA. Good to see you IB! I think I remember looking you up and it said you hadn't been logged in here in a few years?
He was in the bathroom

I have a feeling 80% of FBG's fit into this category, but the over 50 crowd can appreciate this.

I am late to the party, but I just discovered slip on sneakers/tennis shoes).
Absolutely love my Sketcher slips ons. Only 54 but get annoyed when I have to tie my shoes now lol
I got a pair of sketchers last year also. I used to wear Vans slip ons. But there's way more support in the Sketchers.

Grown men over 50 tend to not give a **** what others think.
It's one of the few perks of getting old.
It really is. Had some funny conversations about it the last few years. Friends going through similar. You can see it more in some.

Bathrobe in public is a pinnacle one must reach. Not as some show, just whatever, with everything. I'm not at that level yet but on track.
