Not sure about anyone else, but anymore when I look at a new picture of myself that someone has taken, my first thought is whether it will be a good one for my funeral or not.
Well that’s pretty dark.
Well, I just want to be prepared. Don't want to be looking like a dork in the slideshow, ya know.
You're dead and still caring what others think?
Afterlife, yo.

Old guy trauma this morning: strained my back a bit cutting my toenails.

Going to need to start using pruning shears soon because those things are beginning to resemble velociraptor claws.
I've noticed this too. Actually worried I have something wrong I need to worry about.

Anyone have a line on a good set of arm extenders? Damn menus, books and whatnot are printed in smaller type these days to save money
They have this new fangled invention that acts like a magnifying glass when you put them over your eyes. They are like sunglasses but don't look as cool but they do help with that small print. Also, can't those restaurants turn up the lights a bit? That would help too.

ETA: Every once in awhile I have to go delete a bunch of menu pictures off my phone because of this situation.

Went to sleep at 9:30 pm.
Woke up having to pee at 1:30 am.
Wife punched me for snoring at 2:30 am.
Woke up with heartburn at 3:30. Been up ever since.
Did my back exercises, then enjoyed coffee and breakfast while checking fantasy results and doing Wordle, Connections, Sports Connections, doom scrolling on Instagram, Facebook, and news updates.
Wife is still mad at me for snoring.
Got to work at 8 am and all I can think about is sleep.

I assume this isn't the first time you have snored. It's probably a nightly occurrence. Seems like she shouldn't be mad at you for that long. It should be common and expected.
The punching is new. She's going through her own stuff now that she's in her 50s. Sometimes, she lashes out at me for breathing.
Wife will be 50 on the 29th and she admits things are changing. She's like an oven in bed. More hot than usual. Can't sleep. Up at all hours of the night.
She apologizes constantly though I don't think it's been too bad.
