What I find funny is that he may win me a playoff game, despite making the horrible mistake of not have a starting QB this week (I've got McNabb, McCown, Losman, and Martin in this dynasty league). Thanks Tiki! You F*&%$# bust!

I agree. I would have rather had LJ over Tiki yesterday in my crucial playoff game. We award wins to the team that scores less points so LJ would have been a far better play than Tiki.

In my fantasy league (TD-heavy, no PPR), Barber = RB #5, #8 player overall.
Barber had an absolutely outstanding season this year. If your argument against him has now somehow morphed into saying that Barber had a bad season because he had a bad Week 16, then (aside from appearing ignorant) you also have to claim that LT2 had a "bad" 2005--because he disappointed in both Weeks 15 and 16.

I'll never tell....I wonder how many people checked the link out to my sig and wondered where it came from...anyway, major props to Tiki, you had an awesome season and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!This thread has been a blast. Tiki has been a stud this year and I'll happilly collect my $50 from the guy who took the under. The problem with Tiki (and this is coming from a huge Giants fan) is that no one will ever feel comfortable taking him as a late 1st rounder or early 2nd rounder where his stats project him to be. It'll be interesting to see where he is placed by the Guru's in the early mocks. As a 2004 keeper league (keep 5) owner of Tiki who cut him for SJax/P. Manning/Edge/Horn!/Dillon I'm kicking myself and I'm on the outside looking in at the playoffs after winning the league last year. Live and learn I guess.
However I might consider him again next year at the end of the 2nd round

funny stuff... i haven't been here in a few weeks (LT owner = bye after first round)... but i came back to serve some crow after noticing Tiki ripped off a 95 yarder... i find it hard to believe HK was BSing the whole time... but if so, he's still a moron, just in a different sense... i'm amused thoughand as someone mentioned, Tiki will still go in the late 2nd round again next year... hopefully i get another high pick next year

However, the more bad stuff I posted about him, the better he did. I am a very supersticious person, so I felt the moment I said anything good about him, he'd play poorly......so it's like Crash Davis said "You have to respect a streak".There you have it, the reason behind the hate (see sig)!
It's been a blast, and FYI I'll probably keep Tiki in a dynasty league this year

If I were you, I'd feel similarly, and I am sure a ton of others share your thoughts. The thing is, I posted a well thought out projection for Tiki in the pre-season and it didn't pan out 100%, but the basis for my analysis was correct. Jacobs vultured a ton of his TD's, only four of Tiki's TD's came from inside the five yard line this year, as compared to ten or so from the previous season. Also, Barber's receptions were way down until he caught 22 passes in the last four games (5.5 avg recepts game), compared to 32 over the previous 12 games to start the year (2.7 avg recepts game).Usually posts are opinions, the good ones use facts to back their assertions. Who knows why anyone posts what they do anyway? The board can be filled with people doing the same thing, or lying on purpose to throw off a competitor that uses these forums. That's why the offseason tends to be much better, fewer people pimping their players or devaluing others with self-interest in mind. If a player isn't on your roster its easier to have an open discussion. The key is to take the good information and use it to your advantage, then throw away the other garbage.
Anyway, these Tiki threads were a blast for me, and I know there are others who enjoyed them just as much.
