Owen Daniels (1 Viewer)

So Owen Daniels returned to a full practice after a slight scare this week and is good to go vs the Colts on Monday night. How much do you guys trust him this week with Dressen in the picture and the possibility of the Texans running the ball with Foster to keep the Colts off the field?

I don't want to turn this into a WDIS, so I won't name the other TE on my roster, but are you guys with Daniels rolling with him or do you want to see him produce in back-to-back weeks?

Tempted to give him a shot, in case MNF turns into a shootout...

I'm starting him right now. I dont expect top-5 numbers but I'm sure hell get some touches. My debate is whether I should start him or Jacob Tamme. Houston is giving up far more TE points, but who knows if Tamme will get any looks at all.

I like Tamme, but since you have another viable option and can afford to see what his role is, I'd go with Daniels. Tamme looks like a great wait-and-see though. My debate is Daniels or Winslow, hmm...

I think he is close to 100% (certainly more than he has been YTD) and is coming off his best game. I would def pick him up and stash him if you need a solid TE for down the stretch.

Not crazy about his matchup today; the Colts have been decent defending TEs this year, and in six career games vs. Indy, he has averaged 33 YPG, and his lone TD was a garbage time affair way back in his rookie year. Love him going forward, though.

Good info here. I think he sits in favor of Winslow this week.

depends on your match up, do you need big points or can you afford to play it safe?

I'm starting him this week, #2 pass target for hou last game, had his bye week, full practice sat

over D keller, reduced targets since santonio holmes return,

Daniels is the utlimate risk/reward this week,

he may not break out this week but signs are there he might and that's enough me, last year he was on track for a stud season,

plus I have rwhite and Hnicks on bye this week, (te's count as wr's in my league) I've got to take the risk for the potentialy big payoff

I trust him probably 85 percent.

The risk / reward comment above is pretty spot on IMO.

Got both Daniels and Zach miller and gonna wait until after the first set of games to pick a starter. IF need big points then rolling with OD. 5 / 79 last game with two weeks additional to heal is pretty significant.

It is a bit troubling that they still seem to look for Dreessen in the red zone. Bigger body to shield defenders, I suppose. But overall, yes... Daniels is back in my circle of trust. Especially since I snagged him off waivers when Finley went down.

Listened to a podcast from FFChamps and they don't think Daniels is healthy yet. I might go with Pettigraw in the PPR.

Needed 13pts between this doucheb@g and Pierre Garcon!!! Pierre did his job.. Just needed 4pts off this jerk!!! UGHHH... Miss you Finley! :goodposting:

Stingiest defense against TEs?

Oh that's right the Colts. It was obvious Houston could not get in sink all night as well.

The Houston offense did seem to be circling the drain a few times during the game. :missing: I didn't get to watch much of the game, but the Indy pass rush can be ferocious from the corners. I wouldn't be surprised if Houston kept the TEs in to block more than usual.

Woops! I meant sync obviously.

Daniels actually released and ran his routes, problem was Shaub had zero time to throw.

Besides a few good throws to AJ, the only time he had any success was checking down to Foster when Indy went cover 2 at the end of the game.

Perhaps then, Daniels should have been kept in to block more.

I actually stashed this guy over Tamme for my bench.

Did not start him, but man, that was awful last night.

Daniels dropped a potential TD, but still 3 targets, 1/8/0? What a huge disappointment.

Yeah I have no idea what the game plan was, Foster had great success but they seemed to be adamant on throwing the ball, he only rushed 16 times.I did notice they were running a lot of 2 TE sets. But they also put Daniels in motion a lot and split him out wide.

I guess it makes sense now why they lost huh.
