Owners in 2 QB Leagues (1 Viewer)

What I'm gettting at is the Cheatsheets are designed for a 1QB lineup, so when you look at them you must lower your 2nd QB's rank; but how far? For example, let's say your #2 QB is #10 on the cheetsheet and your #3 RB is #24; to me that's about equal. But as of yet I have not been able to produce evidence or a formula to calculate this. (IQ down :bag: )

Any thoughts on how to accomplish this? Do you default to projections?

This problem is especially evident in the league we play in; min lineup 1/1/2; Max lineup 2/3/4. So many owners in my league are having to weigh the above scenario; do I start my #2 QB over my #3 RB.

I'd be curious to hear from owners in similar leagues.

I would look at the projections, rather than the cheatsheets.Number 2 QBs will often outproduce number 3 RBs, if I remember correctly (a few years ago we had a mandatory 2 start QB league). In your scenario, I would start the number 10 QB on the cheatsheet everytime over the number 24 RB. In my league, the 10th rated QB is averaging ~20 pts a game. The 24th ranked RB is averaging about 1/2 that ~10pts/game.Now, I am not sure about your scoring system, but in every league I have played in, QBs as a whole, score more points than any other position.

Thanks Dawg. This is the first year we've had this lineup. Still trying to convince myself starting QB's over RB's is a good thing. It's about 50/50 so far but that most definately has to do with the particular players on my roster.lAnother thing to consider is if both the QB and RB are projected to score similar pts; say between 10-15; what is the probability of each that they will score @ or above their projections? Strictly looking at the position and not matchups week to week; I would say on average the QB would have the best probability/opportunity to score @ or above his projections......

I think it happens fairly often where a low end QB (Lossman, Harrington, Gradowski, etc) blows up and goes for 300 yards, 3 TDs. Predicting which low end QB will do that is nearly impossible. However, a low end RB, someone like the 20th ranked RB, almost never blows up for 100 yds, 2 TDs.

So, I think you are almost always better off going with the 2nd tier QB, over the 3rd tier RB.

Lineup Dominator will figure this out for you.

As for probabilities, i believe that the lower-end QBs have a much higher standard deviation, compared to the sort of RB or WR you'd be considering instead. So just depends on the risk level you're willing to absorb.

Lineup Dominator would work; but I do like comparing my gut feeling with the cheetsheats and projections. Will check it out; thanks.

Where is the Lineup Dominator? I don't see it on the Tools link; and I don't see it under Week 7....
