Packers Sign Koren Robinson (1 Viewer)

Speculating here. But isn't this more of a favor by the Packers to allow Robinson to clear his suspension? It would seem most teams would not want to sign him because he has a 1 year suspension coming his way. But then if no team would sign him, he would never be able to work off his 1 year suspension.
The guys on the Milwaukee sports radio talk show stated that Koren's agent told them he received a 2 yr deal where the first year is no base salary, just signing bonus and year two is for the base salary. This could be wrong but it is what I heard on the radio.

Assuming KRob is able to play this season I would expect him to provide a major upgrade in the return game (which the Packers badly need) and disappoint yet another team as a WR. Maybe he'll become a decent No. 3 WR but it's more than clear by now that for all his talent Robinson simply isn't going to be the player his talent indicates he can be. I see no reason to believe anything will be different now that he is in Green Bay.
You're happy about getting Koren? :lmao: :banned:

:drive:
Not even close. What in my post would lead you to think that it was? I clearly said I think he'll fail as a WR. He could provide help in the return game, though, based on what he showed last season. But overall, I think it's a pure desperation move by a desperate team facing a long season.
We definitely need a return man. Robinson fits the bill. My expectations are minimal as far WR production. We can go 4 deep at wide out to stretch out defenses with more talent than we had.At the very least, I could be up at Oneida playing blackjack, yelling bartender...."2 REFILLS!"

;) :excited:

FWIW..local press stated today he "looked good" in practice. I don't know if this was on the field action, or, a Gatorade slamming contest.
