Page or Pollard (1 Viewer)

Page has started the season off with higher tackle numbers and bigger plays. Pollard is the SS.

Is this a reflection of the type of D KC runs that allows the FS to get into the action more than the SS? Any other teams do this also?

Or is Page just the better player?

I haven't been able to watch my boys but I believe Herm is playing them as interchangeable like NYJ did with Rhodes and Coleman a few years back. Page is the better player in coverage which can help him have more chances for tackles that Pollard. The LBs aren't letting a lot of tackles through to their line so that takes away from both Page and Pollard.

If your asking a waiver pickup question you did a pretty good of hiding it.

I think this definitely qualifies as a worth topic for the main IDP forum. Page and Pollard are both guys with some promise, and both Herm and KC have produced good safety numbers in the past. I'd love to hear from some people who've seen the Chiefs a few times about how the two of them are being used, and how they're looking on the field (as opposed to FF numbers).

:blackdot:I posted similar thoughts last week after Page's breakthrough game and Bloom felt the same way during our podcast a couple of weeks ago. I think the LB play has really been killing Pollard.

They seem to be pretty interchangable each playing close to the LOS at pretty equal periods during games. I kept Pollard but am regretting it now. Both have made tackles close to the LOS and both have been in coverage at other times. I haven't discerned a pattern and opposing OC probably haven't either.

Page has had a couple of big games for me but has been sub-par for most games this season. Any KC homers have any insight? I'm growing a bit weary of the numbers Page has been putting up. Does his future still look bright or is he destined to be a marginal IDPer?

Future may still be bright for both safeties, but the issues that were a concern during the first month (superior linebacker play, rotation with Wesley) have continued all season long. Just not enough snaps/opportunity for consistent production.

:goodposting: Edwards and DJ have been playing like men possessed lately...and Wesley is still getting his snaps as well.I'd say it will be a roller coaster between Pollard and Page all year...possibly their careers in KC. Seems like they take turns putting up good stats, then having some stinkers.
