Palmer to Oakland? (1 Viewer)

Exactly. Why pass up the opportunity to get a 2nd or 3rd round pick? Mike Brown is an idiot.
Hmm, you seem quite knowledgeable about the actual offers that Cincinnati has been receiving. You know for a fact they've even gotten an offer this high?Practical question: What is the difference between a draft pick they can get for Palmer now vs a draft pick that they get if they trade him in, say, March. Oh that's right, there is no difference. If Oakland offers something crazy stupid perhaps they entertain it - if not there's no reason to make a deal as there should be more teams interested after the season is over. On top of that you make the principle stick.-QG
That is roughly the going rate for a mediocre starting QB based on other recent trades. I don't know what exact offers they have been given, but I can extrapolate using common sense. I also know the owner has publicly stated that he refuses to trade Palmer. That's not doing Palmer's trade-value any favors. Mike Brown's idiocy was established with great moves such as denying a trade of Chad Johnson for a 2008 1st round pick and 2009 pick possibly a 1st also. That is hilarious.
Don't forget about passing On Ditka's offer to move up for Ricky Williams and taking Akili Smith instead. Palmer isn't going anywhere.
oh really?

I cannot believe I am posting to this silly thread. The Raiders never stated what they were willing to offer for Palmer. I am willing to be it was a 6th or 7th rounder. The Raiders have a history of making some dumb moves but there is no way the Raiders offered a 2nd or even a 3rd for Palmer. End of story. The Bengals are going to continue to be abused in their tough division because of the their inability to improve their team. The Bengals would rather prove their point than get something for Palmer. That is simply a poor business decision. I like the Bengals. They have a good rookie QB and very good rookie WR. The D is solid. Benson is a good RB. The core pieces are there but it will all go to waste as the organization makes poor decisions or does not do the deals that it should.
End of story? I guess you're right, there's no way they offered a 3rd rounder. Perhaps before you post in "silly threads" you should be a little more open minded.

The Raiders, desperate to prove they're just as insane as when Al Davis was alive, traded a 1st rounder and another potential 1st rounder for a washed up hasbeen QB.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

WOW.

For 2012, their picks look like:

R2 - The Patriots own it. (Raiders got a 3rd and 4th this year I think)

R3 - None. They have Terrelle Pryor instead.

R4 - None. They have a broken Jason Campbell instead.

R7 - None. They have Aaron Curry instead.
Wow, so the Raiders now have their 1st, 3rd, and 4th round 2012 picks invested in QBs.
Looks like Kiper is right that it'll be a deep draft for QBs... ;) Not one but potentially TWO firsts? For Palmer? Really?
