If anyone has an extra Lesser Multiple Projectiles support gem they don't need, let me know and we can try and agree on a trade.
I don't have that, but I actually lucked into a Greater Multiple Projectiles. Which is way better. But, I'm probably going to either sell it for mad currency or use it. Unless you can offer insane Marauder gear. Like a maul or something with huge plus to life.
Any interest in an exalted orb plus something else for the GMP?
GMP is 2-4 GCP, 1 exalted is roughly 5 GCP :nerd: But I have a spare LMP if you still need it, I don't know why you would be up at 3am (or why I am up,) but if you are on, or if you get on tomorrow ill give it to you.
Yeah, exalted seems like too much. If you have some chaos or (more) alchs we can talk.

How about 1 exalted for the GMP and 2 GCP?I some how have ended up with more exalted orbs than other orbs so I think we need to use the exalted. If you are interested let me know.

I'm not sure which name it is you use to add someone to a friend's list. My Witch's name is ToadStew, do you add based on that?
I will add you when I get on this morning.Earlier in the thread people listed out their user names. We had hoped to get them attached to the first post but I don't think that ever occurred. Hopefully people will just add you when they see your post.

I don't have any GCP. I seem to be allergic to the higher gems.

Crap. We seem to have polar opposite orbs :)How about 1 exalted for the GMP + something else (some armor or weapon quality improvement pieces?)

Started a Templar last night and it way easier the 2nd time around. After playing for a few hours I got him up to level 12 I think. Still haven't seen one "rare" item yet and the new character is playing with a necklace at plus 20 percent, rings at plus 15 and 14 percent to find good stuff. I hover over ever single piece of armour and orbs and still nothing. I have only picked up 2 alchemy orbs total for my last player of 60 plus hours of play.

Silly question - but, can you fill out your skill tree in advance and when it is time to level up it is automatic? Every time it is time for me to choose I have a plan in my mind and then I am like well this looks like a really good node way over here.

Found a 2 h sword that increased dps by about 40%. I have a nice maul for a fbg that is pretty sweet for the levels you use it.

I don't think this is possible.

You can plan out your tree entirely ahead of time and save it on the web site. Then when it is time to level up you can refer to it to make your choice. It won't be automatic but it allows you to plan out your character ahead of time and not worry about it during the game.

You must have seen tons of Rare (yellow) items in that time frame. I think you may mean you have not seen any Unique (burnt orange) items which do have extremely low drop rates.

Yes that is correct no unique items seen during my 60 hours plus of playing time.

thanks for the Gem! It is working out great.

Can I post a link that would lead to all of my stuff? IF anyone is interested. Thanks.

Got my duelist up somewhere around level 12 or so I think. Bee-lined the +10 strengths to the +% health and the Golem regenerative skill with one 1 skill detour to pick up the 1 handed increase damage one that gives you +20 dexterirty. With a tower shield and a claw that gives me health with every hit, I was able to take Brutus down pretty easily. Never got below 75% health.Despite seeing the benefit of teh armour from the shield, it sure is hard to resist the siren song of dps from a 2 handed weapon. I've got a two handed sword and a big axe that are each above 70 dps. Going down to my 20 dps with my claw is tough even though I get in less trouble with the claw and shield...Not sure where I'm going on the skills tree next. Any suggestions? Also - when do I know when something is worth unloading in the market place? Seems like a pita but I have some items I think are probably valuable to the right buyer. On that note, I have a pretty awesome yellow bow if anyone is doing a ranged character that's at least level 10. Have some bow related gem to if you're interested. Think it's cold damage.Oh - my character's name is Qwikster.

Get some health. You'll need as much as you can get, unless you're going for an evasion build.

That's what I've done. Strength = health which was the shortest path to the +% health skills and the Golem skill.

Yeah - by level 12, 10 of my passive points had something to do with health.6 to strength ( and to travel)1 to melee damage (to get started)3 to +12%, +8%, +8% health1 to Golem's blood - 1.5% regen per second1 "off the path" to grab water dancing which gave me 20 pts in Dex in addition to the =12% one handed damageI think I have 3 or 4 more that I haven't decided where to go with

There's a short loop to some elemental resistances and another +10 strength along with a +10 intelligence to get there that I might do. A little further on past some dexterity bonuses is a grouping of 3 +10% armor skills as you move towards the Templar area.

Actually, I'm right next to a +armor % loop that I should probably grab +10%, +30%, +12%. That in turn leads to a +30 strength and another loop of +life% and another 1% regeneration. That's the way.Had no intention to build a tank but that seems to be the way the game leads.

I'm also only 7 moves away from Iron Reflexes which converts all evasion to Armor. Gives me a bunch of dexterity I don't really want but since that will just mean more armor, that's a viable options as well.

Aaand just like that, Drifter is hooked.
Yep. Pretty funny, considering his "You guys are the ultimate nerds" post:)
I prefaced that by saying that I've gotten down and nerdy with most of you guys before. It's a straight up recipe for endless hours playing - endless loot and an enormous skill tree. Two things that keep people coming back over and over. The atmosphere of the word they have created is pretty cool as well.Finished Act 1 at level 20 - died 3 times over the course of it, all 3 times because I was on cruise control. The game definitely lulls you in and then throws a pretty nasty mob at you every once in a while.

Edit - was writing about my 2 handed build, but suddenly I'm not much seeing the point. Looks like with the right weapon I get higher dps one handed with the shield than 2 handed. Not sure whyAnyway - looks like 1 handed with a shield is my current buildout. 48 dps, 8 health per hit, 8 health per death, 14 health pts regen per second. 432 life and 406 armorTwo handed loadout isn't as attracking any more as it drops to 157 armor but still a whopping 77.1 dps. Goes back to 8 health back per kill and since I kill things a lot quicker, especially with sweep that helps.Sweep is the balls for a mob attack. I'll use firestorm when I have one of the other builds going if the mob gets a bit too much, but sweep keeps everyone at bay.

Currently have a 2 weapon build going. 46 and change dps, 8 life per hit and 8 life per kill plus 14.1 life regenerating per second to go with 424 life and 231 armor.Putting on my shield takes me to 406 armor but loses the 8 life per hit and only 4 per kill and dps drops to 37.1. Two handed loadout drops to 157 armor but a whopping 77.1 dps. Sweep is amazing for AOE, but make sure to grab leap slam as well and level it. If you find an amazing sword, you can use that with leap slam but not with sweep. Mace is your better weapon? Great, use sweep. Leap slam becomes critical later in the game, IMO, for melee when you start running into groups that have a lot of melee but also missile mobs. Those explosive arrows are straight up nasty in Cruel. Start it all up by bounding around and taking out the missile mobs then concentrate on the melees. If at all possible, grab a blood magic and a life on hit for your AOEs.

Football Dummy,I am still interested in the GMP if you want to sell it. Please let me know.I can do some sort of combo chaos/alch trade for the GMP or I can do an Exalted for the GMP plus some Blacksmiths (weapon upgrades)

I just picked up the support gem Elemental proliferation. Has anyone experimented with this to augment any of the ranger archery skills (burning arrow and lightening arrow specifically)?I also picked up my second unique tonight. Ironically it was the same unique amulet I mistakenly sold earlier in the game. :)

Speaking of blacksmiths and armourers, are any of you using those at this point, or are you saving? It seems the best use is to find a white with great links, then upgrade from there before using orbs. I have yet to use them and have three stacks of armor and two attacks of weapon upgrades.

I have not used any yet, I am towards the end of Act 2 normal (just beat Vaal, but still have one quest left before I move on to act 3. ). I am hoping to save them but if push comes to shove and I die way too much, I will use them. They are a huge tease. You want to use them on "your next good item", but these games are built to have the "next good item" come often enough you fear wasting them :)

OK just got to the first town in Act 3Level 32Played 32.5 hoursDied 33 timesI love how in sync those 3 numbers are :)Level 32 allows me to use the Bow I traded from Mad Cow that almost doubles my DPS across the board!

I would like to create a character that does nothing but get to the ledge as fast as possible and farm it until the leveling penalty kicks in, and then delete the character. How do I go about this to maximize the farming time? I am unsure what areas can be skipped. I looked around for some videos but most just show how to farm the ledge itself which I know. I am looking for how to get their the quickest while still having the power to actually farm the ledge.

Seems like a waste to me as there is no drop penalty in maps, and blue maps can be done with half decent builds. If I were building specifically to do this I would try to get my hands on a silverbranch unique bow and just make either a shadow or ranger and use poison arrow, you can probably do it in like 20 minutes.

The reason I am asking is that I am no where near maps. I want to pick up some currency for my current character.

Just some news courtesy of some of the nicer diamond supporters: News

Summary:

-Content deployment schedule will begin March 6th

-With the next content patch being the 13th (this trend should continue, with weekly patches)

-Each patch will contain at least 3 new uniques and 1 new skill (although I've heard the first couple of patches will be several skills)

Thats it really, looking forward to the content deployment schedule, since the race rewards were so disappointing.

I put my quillrain marauder and dual totem shadow on hold and am leveling an elemental cleave templar at this moment.

Up to level 47, no play at all this past weekend. Got my next farming/leveling area in Fellshire. Grabbed the waypoint in the Dungeon there so I can kill until full, log out, log in and waypoint right back. :nerd:At level 47, I am getting about 1/2 a level when I clear most of the level and they are all easy mobs.

Just got my 2nd life on hit gem. These things are :moneybag: for melee with AOE.
My ranger is crap solo in cruel. I party exclusively with him. Mostly going to use him to farm gear for my duelist, dual axe cleave build. Have fun with the ranger but I'm not running any auras, have very few things linked to burning arrow. Tempted to switch back to poison, but will stay with burning. I don't much care as I can fly through levels and content in groups. Meant to quote your other post :)

What level is your ranger? What gear do you need? Maybe I can help and give you some stuff.ETA what gear do you need for the duelist, as well?

I might also add that you might consider swing instead of cleave. That gives you 360 degree AOE coverage instead of the roughly 180 you get from cleave.

Sweep? Have that on my low marauder. I love it but cleave suits 1 hand axes.

At the moment the Ranger is fairly well equipped, though I haven't gone too in depth with maxxing for it. The Duelist is well geared because he is only level 23, so I can stash good stuff the ranger finds. I'll have to do a character link I guess with the ranger.

Yes, sweep. Is swing 2H only? I use leap slam with a 2H sword, swing for a 2H mace, and cleave on occasion with axe or sword. I don't know if 1H vs 2H matters.
