Patriots on flex games (1 Viewer)

I found myself laughing at the TV Sunday night. It wasn't entertaining after the first 25 minutes.

We get the Patriots kicking the crap out of the Eagles this week (written by an Eagles fan).

We will almost certainly get the Jets-Patriots.

If they're 15-0, we'll get game 16.

Do you want to see more? Do you care to see more?

I honestly don't want the Steelers game moved to the night game. Didn't CBS and FOX get to "protect" one or two games per week?

I, too, was shocked to see that NE/PHI is the flex game next week. Rout!

I think the NFL has a policy that a team cannot play more then 5 games in primtime during the regular season.

Do people want to see these NE blowouts more than real games? I flipped on the TV, saw that it was 28-7, and changed the channel.

Steelers game got moved from 1 to 4 pm, and the NE/Phi game was already scheduled as 8:15 pm before the season started

Yes. I want to see it. It's amazing how good that offense is and it's fun to watch. It's near perfection and we may never see anything like it again. JM.02oh and it doesn't hurt that I can go to bed at the end of the 3rd quarter!

This TV scheduling is ridiculous. If you count the pseudo-national Indy-NE game, that will make 4 consecutive nationally televised games in a row for NE.

I know they are good, and as a non Pats fan its fun to watch for about a half, but can't we get other teams on these days? Oy.

Its better that watching those thrilling SF/Sea matchups

They probably had about the same viewership I imagine. Other than Pats fans or FF players that had something riding on the game, how many people do you think were watching after the first half? I know I certainly wasn't.

NE cannot switch any other games to prime time, as they have met their allocated limit. So we will see them in whatever night games they have left unless for some crazy reason the network with those games opts to trade out of them (which would be unlikely).

That means the next two weeks we'll see them (vs PHI and BAL) and their final game on the NFL Network (vs NYG).

It's only unusual (slighty) for the NFL. When the Lakers were good (Shaq and Kobe) every NBC game of the week featured them, almost. Same for the Michael Jordan Bulls teams.

It's the same concept in which every time there's a big news story, all of the 24 news channels cover it to the exclusion of every other story.

the proof is in the pudding- the Patriots' blowouts generate higher ratings than closely fought games between other teams. Everybody wants to see the best.

Can you say for certain who is going to win tonight?? I am a Denver homer and, while I believe (hope) the Broncos win,I wouldn't bet $1,000 on it.This should be a pretty competitive game tonight and it could go either way vs a 50 point ritual killing that involves NE.

I want to know how Atlanta is featured on MNF twice, and they both are in Atlanta, not to mention the colts game this Thursday night.

Who schedules this crap

:) Or are you just assuming on this one? I imagine last nights ratings were higher, for example, because it was opposite no other game. But had it been opposite of say the DAL/WSH, or CLV/BAL, I wouldn't have watched the Pats game. And it wouldn't have been close.

The next time Atlanta plays NE twice in a season,is the next time you will see ATL featured twice on Monday night.

The Seattle/Bears game that was swapped yesterday was a very competitive game all the way down to the last minute. Both teams played effective and nearly mistake free football (on offense) and it was very exciting. Lots of offense and two NFL teams on the field. I don't know what NBC was thinking by putting a known blowout that was over by half times on over two teams much more equal in strength. Bad decision and hopefully they'll learn their lesson.

Exactly, another fine example of a game most people would have prefered/watched. Unfortunately I think the Pats have become the Notre Dame of the NFL. No matter how bad the game is, that's what the networks will carry. Oh well, I can always use the extra free time.

The NFl and the TV executives do. They just didn't have enough time to see Atlanta's biggest sport draw (M.Vick) going to jail when they put the schedule together. Rest assured, Atlanta will not have any primetime games next season.

As a NE fan, I'm already sick of seeing them play on national TV.

I'd like to watch the entire beatdown they give their opponents without having to stay up to midnight.

I'm going to cry when they play their last night game.

anybody who would rather watch some crap team than history in the making is no true football fan.

now I'll be stuck w/the freaking bears every week playing for nothing.

i for one am tried of watching in primetime my fantasy teams blow HUGE leads cause the team i'm facing has Brady or Moss or Welker etc

all i needed this week was for the Bills to hold Moss to 100yds/2TDs LOL

10 out of 44 topics on first page are about NE. Probably more, but I quit counting.
