PATS @ LIONS -- *Game Thread* (1 Viewer)

I wasn't really paying attention to what defense the Pats were in, but if I'm not mistake, that was there 3-4 they were getting eaten alive in.

####### Irene is starting to piss me off.

I get two, maybe three shots a year to see the Lions in a typical year.

AND VIRIGINIA, would you mind letting her go already? I'm getting tired of waiting.

that play right there is exactly why I'm thinking Hernandez has a breakout year for the Pats - he's just way too talented not to be a major part of their passing game.

Lions offense looks awesome - Stafford could be the SOD at QB.

Hernandez showing good hands and looking light on his feet; Gronkowski is a beast.

BenJarvus looking like he's cementing his role as the second coming of Leroy Hoard.

So which one should come off the board first, again?
Unsure*2. Gronkowski will probably come off the board first which might make Hernandez the better value. There was a post late last season that detailed how one TE shined more than the other depending on the coverage of the opposing D. It's on my to-do list to dig that up (unless somebody wants to do the heavy lifting for me).

PPR - HernandezAll Else - Gronk

Gronk will be the primary redzone target - probably ~5-7 TDs. Hernandez will get more receptions and receiving yards, but will probably only get ~2-3 TDs.
Hernandez had 6 TDs last year in 14 games (one of which he barely played in) - I think if he stays healthy this year he gets at least 5-6 again.

so you are downgrading both of them?gronk had 10 tds last season

hernandez had 6

Harrison has a burst that Morris does not. I think most people think Morris played a lot better last year than he really did.

I'm pretty confident that the two will combine for more that 7-10 TDs this season.

Wow... my bad... doing too much :suds: tonight! I will now remove myself from the keyboard.

Nice to actually see Stafford take a hit. I hadn't seen it yet because the o-line has been doing such a nice job in the preseason.

There's a crispness to the offense that I can't remember them having since the Herman Moore/Johnny Morton/Brett Perriman/Barry Sanders years.
